Welcome to Eurobricks, lgerard31! There is a Flickr tutorial page here and I have tried to explain it for you in French below. Good luck!

Great idea! You included all of the features of a large cruise ship in the small scale, and it works well with the minifigs.

I'm glad to see that Ballabreek is up and running again! I love seeing the stories in addition to the building updates and Ballabreek has served as a source of inspiration for my own Lego town, Bricksburg. The Fairground Mixer Halloween mod is really clever; I especially liked the bat strength tester, well done!

Very cool! Lighting the models really adds to the festive spirit and atmosphere of the village. I would also like to know how you did the lights.

I love these buildings! You included so many great details from the jewels on the outside of the jewelry store to the interior of the pizza place. I love how the 14-wide buildings break of the monotony of the street; I will have to consider varying the sizes of the buildings in my city a bit. How many copies of the Bike Shop and Cafe did you use?

This is amazing! I love your painstaking attention to detail. The city seems alive! My favorite part has to be the cartographer's shop with the rolled up maps, and the secluded garden. The foliage looks fantastic with the tan colors of the city walls. Great job!

I just finished the survey - good luck! I hope you get lots of results.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Bookworm replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That is a very good point, one that I had not thought of before. We all buy the modulars to connect with each other and make a city block, but TLG does not necessarily sell them that way. It makes sense that each building would have to be able to stand on its own. I actually mentioned Hercule Poirot as a possibility for the detective office a little while ago on this thread. I think something like that might be cool to see, although possibly it wouldn't fit with the previous modulars. But Poirot's time period (1930's) fits perfectly with the modular buildings, so that would work better chronologically than Sherlock Holmes (Victorian age). -
Very cool! I love all the Egyptian decorations you have added to the box like the pyramid and columns. Have you played it using the Lego board yet?

This series of builds is so much fun to look at! I love how you are representing different traditions and aspects of history from the community in just 8x8 squares. You are putting in a lot more detail than I would expect in so small a space. Well done!

Your buildings look really good; I love the awnings! They are realistic and flow very nicely together. Are you planning on making interiors? I am just like you in that I am pretty new to making MOC's and I have very limited parts as well.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Bookworm replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That's what I'm thinking; I just can't see how a detective agency could fill a full 32x32 modular building. Assuming the rumor is correct, I think it's going to either be two 16x32 buildings like the Pet Shop set or the agency will be one floor or part of a 32x32 building. I'm hoping for an Agatha Christie-inspired dectective office with Hercule Poirot! -
Eurobricks member L@go converted this set to a modular building earlier this summer. Here is a link to the topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97440

That is the funniest Lego mistake I have ever seen!

I love sand blue, although it's not super common these days. I also really like the dark/emerald green and dark blue. However, tan will always be a favorite as well because it is so versatile.

6th Anniversary REVIEW: 31015 Emerald Express
Bookworm replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The set is fairly simple, but your review was most certainly not! Before reading the review, I hadn't given this set a second thought. But now I need to consider getting one for myself because the design is so clever. Well done! -
6th Anniversary REVIEW: 4766 Graveyard Duel
Bookworm replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is a fantastic review! I own this set, but it was so much fun to see it through the eyes of someone else. It was very entertaining reading your reactions to all the random skeleton parts all over the place. I hadn't realized how grotesque this set was when I got it. The parts are very good for a set this size; I remember building the set once and then tearing it down for parts.- 6 replies

I have never experienced anything other than great service at my nearest Lego store. I don't go there often, but when I am there, the staff is informative and helpful. The employees seem to love their jobs and Lego.

This is a great thread! It's so much fun to relive the building of the modulars that I do have and to experience the ones that I don't. I am looking foward to seeing the rest of the modular series being rebuilt.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Bookworm replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Does anyone know when we will find out the name of the 2015 modular building? I believe it was around this time of the year when the Parisian Restaurant name was released. -
Bonjour et bienvenue à Eurobricks! J’espère que vous vous amusez bien ici!

I really like this set; the detail of the dinosaur skeleton is great! I also like the telescope.

Thanks for sharing this video! It was very interesting; I hadn't known about Lego's near-collapse about 10 years ago.

Thanks for the good laugh! Although we haven't had many hospitals in the past few years (only 2012 and 2006, I believe), so there isn't anywhere for victims to go!

I am a little disappointed to see that most of the predicted sets for City 2015 are vehicles! Where are the buildings? Lego has been concentrating so much on the fire and police that there is nothing to burn down or be robbed. I am looking forward to the snowblower, though. Maybe it could go nicely with the Winter Village sets?
