  1. I used the same design from my headhunter for my X-Wing, and I glad you like it! It's not 100% mine, but I've redesigned the connections on the inside. 9493 is a rough model. I'm using it as a base, but something u did in day one was re design the wings. I lowered them by a plate, so that the wings actually touch each other. From there, I plated it like Mike Pisiaki's (which I also brick linked) and then strengthened the turning no mechanism. That's probably the number one issue with 9493. I want to redesign that, to make use of a better connection. If I were you (and I'm kinda in the same boat here) I'd suggest messing around in bricks and in LDD, to try to build small sections at a time. I'm currently re designing the engines, which is a slow and difficult task. But sling it from the ground up isn't a bad idea, it just takes a lot of work. I wish you well on your mission!
  2. Looks nice. The cheese slope idea has been used before, but I haven't seen that slope used for the nose. I've been messing around myself, and I came up with a more snotty solution, using the inverted version of the bottom piece and it's half counterpart. Personally, I've given up on that back curve. I like to think that the whole top goes as far as te back, hence why it's makes it flat. I'd love to see other parts of your design!
  3. I believe that's just another name for Batte of Takondana
  4. Very nice. I've always dreamed of doing this, but I have 3 ties to mod. Maybe I'll just do this on my Interceptor and call it a day. I'm surprised I haven't seen this before, but still an outstanding Mod!
  5. Interesting. That would be conducive to the rumors of the leaked figures being stolen from the Lego factory in Mexico, so I guess the sets got stolen from there too. I wanna see these in person very badly now.
  6. Amazing scene! That first shot really shows off the entire build. The sweeping bar is just beautiful, as are the details peppered around it. The waitress droid looks very good, as do the other patrons. One gripe I have with this is size. The diner looks a bit on the big side overall. The movie made it look like a small, grimy place, but the small aspect isn't coming through perfectly. Mini figs are probably a big source of the issue, as they're disproportionate sizes mess things up. The bar and back wall would need to be moved forward a bit, or maybe even the bar made smaller. I completely understand the challenge, however, and commend you for this build overall, and yoir quick repair job. Overall, another great scene, and the best of luck.
  7. I absolutely love this! The Snot wings instantly made me fall in love. Just sitting, she looks beautiful. All of the little details just add to the overal look. I really like the engine designs. I usually struggle a bit with the engines, but this works perfectly. The red and black inlet in the wings looks very nice, even though it's plated. The back hatch looks super nice, but how long is that little 'tunnel'? And how does it connect into the cockpit? The cockpit looks like it's a bit higher than the back, if you look at the cockpit windscreen. I actually really like the color scheme, even if it looks very different from a lot of Star Wars vehicles. Overall, just an amazing build! I can't wait to see what else you're gonna make!
  8. Interesting. The walker looks like a ramped up AT-RT, which isn't bad, but also isn't necessarily good. The speeder and the elite trooper look nice, and would make a fun battle pack.
  9. I'm not sold on these Episode 7 designs, or their lego counterparts. I've become kinda obsessed with designing my own X-WIng, but this one does nothing for me. The cockpit is nice, but I want to see how it'd look and an OT X-Wing. Otherwise, I really don't like the design. The wings are just sloppy. They don't even line up when folded. I know firsthand it'd be difficult but come on. I don't want to hate too much more, but I do really like the TIE. It'd look especially good in all black, but so be it. As for prices... they may deter me from buying some of these. Maybe some sales will come along. In my eyes, the best thing to come out today was Speed of Light.
  10. Very nice! The pit droid looms geat. And the pod itself is also great Do you plan on making sebulba's pod?
  11. The way it's built, the only way to do that is with a ball joint, or to flip the connection sideways so it can only go up and down. I'm thinking a ball joint would be best, but I don't think it could hold the weight. You'd have to experiment.
  12. Looks nice! I always love seeing these. I like the overall size of yours. It looks a bit sticky, which I think helps the overall model. Great job!
  13. Those have been known about for a long while, and it's pretty much certain that they're official. The text just describes the sets.
  14. Eh. It just needs a good, thought out brick built one.
  15. Ah, I see. That's gonna look great then! Keep up the work!
  16. Looks nice! How are you gonna implement these?
  17. I love this review! It's hilarious to read, and it shows off the shuttle perfectly. I really wanna get this set at some point. You should make more of these reviews. They're perfect
  18. Looks nice! Those black technic pins don't exist though. Grey wouldn't look bad either
  19. Looks nice! The base is really coming together! Keep it up!
  20. This is great! The forced perspective accelerated the build to another level. All the little details are done masterfully, namely the monitors and statues. The chairs Obi-Wan sits in looks very nicely done, and really round out the little computer station. The table, however, I think could have benefited from some Snot treatment. The angles look just a bit too jagged, while the chairs are nice and smooth. The archives themselves look great, but the room looks a bit too barren for my taste. A few library goers would have worked well. Also, the scene seems a tad dark, when the actual archives have a lot of light from the windows. As for the far away details, they look just as amazing as the close up ones. The shrunk chairs and table looks very good, and I love the use of the claw pieces to continue the angle from the front. The mini statues look good, as there isn't much to be done about the monotony at that scale. I do have a question regarding the full size ones however. Was the Count Dooku statue in this scene? If memory serves, wasn't that the hall of fallen Jedi? If I'm wrong you can ignore me, but a detail like that would've looked very nice. The details at the top of the room look just as good, despite being barely seen. One odd quirk about the forced perspective here, it makes the floor look like it has a gentle curve. there probably is no way to fix that, or maybe its just me. And one last thing, did you get the idea for this from the Episode II special features disk? Cause that what it reminds me of. Overall, this is just a great build! I wish you the best of luck.
  21. Looks nice! Where will this fit in then?
  22. Looks great! I love the idea of this. The lights are executed perfectly, and make the model so much better. The sloping wall is just the icing on the cake. Details like that make models great. The dioramas above are amazing too. Keep up the great work!
  23. Nice build! I really love seeing all these ITT's. It brings me back to when I made my first Moc here, which was one. You have a really nice build, and the diorama is great!
  24. I love this! There's something about the simplicity that just makes me super nostalgic. The X-Wing is a great addition, and the perfect use of a micro ship. Now that you have a briefing room, would you ever try a bridge or hanger?
  25. Looks nice. I've just been hit by a huge nostalgia wave Nice solutions to some of the issues. I've always wanted to do something like this with the 2011 version but I've never gotten around to it.
