  1. Here's a video of my workspace and sorting system.
  2. This is unfortunate, as you have invested quite a bit of time in the books. I have bought your builders guide off iTunes, and plan to eventually get a copy of your newest book.
  3. 1/20.... That will be a monster, how do you plan to move something like that. The models could be made to float with bionicle containers for buoyancy.
  4. How heavy of a weight are you planning to carry? Usually torsion bars will permit a smooth ride and are relatively low profile, but Here are some other older designs that I have posted some photos of, I have devised some more realistic suspensions since the page was created. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/383492 Here's a recent guide to basic suspensions that kelkschiz made.
  5. Disregard this topic, I got a lipo and recharger off of amazon.
  6. Great contest, I enjoyed participating in it.
  7. Instructions are available on Rebrickable get them while they're hot! http://rebrickable.com/mocs/TommyStyrvoky/jagdpanzer-38t-hetzer-rc
  8. Lego Jagdpanzeretzer (RC) by Tommy Styrvok Well here's my first render of one of my models, it consists of 3 different images that are overlaid with GIMP, It was rendered in LDraw.
  9. Lego Jagdpanzer Hetzer 38(T) (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Ldraw file is complete, and is pending approval on Rebrickable, it consists of 1312 pieces (tracks included)
  10. Some of the models that have been built are outrageous in size. And yet they are able to perform outstandingly well, the port crane can lift 48lbs.... That's like 6 of my tanks worth of weight... and it's powered by weak old 9v motors. Liebherr LTR 1800 by Engineering with ABS, on Flickr
  11. I think I will just get the battery and charger on amazon, as it costs slightly more, but I won't have to worry about it being out of stock.
  12. I am planning to get my hands on a lipo battery from lego, and I went to their online shop, only to find that it is a retired product... yet the battery is available, I hope that the batteries are still in stock, but I am wondering about the chargers, I looked on www.legoeducation.com for a charger, and there are none available there too. Is there an alternative charger that can be utilized for this purpose. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Transformer-9833
  13. Hmm I haven't really experimented with that too much. Some technic beams that are longer than the bricks that are currently on there may provide a better grip.
  14. I am attempting to align some parts at odd angles that can't be rotated by the fine (1 ldu) movement. Is there any way of fine tuning further movement, like in part inspector?
  15. Such great entries, It was hard to pick models for voting on. 25:10 26:6 43:4 36:3 16:2 11:1
  16. I know Vexpro provides CIM motors for FIRST robotics, but I was never aware of the system, for building. The motors are quite powerful, they have a massive amount of power (3 NM) that's roughly equivalent to 200 XL motors.
  17. Thanks so much, what did you use to render the model ? Also the rear panels aren't folded in to the "tail" part. Could I have the updated Ldraw file ? You can email it to me at tommystyrvoky@gmail.com
  18. Great model, I'm glad to see that someone was inspired to build this on a Dirt Crusher chassis. For embedding video put. [.media]youtube link[/media.] remove the periods
  19. Tiger I Porsche Tank

  20. There wasn't a short amount of time for this contest... I was able to build 3 models during the span of it. It will be interesting to see how the voting goes, there are so many great models that got entered into this contest.
  21. Great job modeling such a small vehicle.
  22. Lego Jagdpanzer 38(T) Hetzer (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr I present my latest armored vehicle, a German built tank destroyer on a Czechoslovakian panzer 38(T) chassis. The model that I have built has 2 L motors with a 1:2 reduction that propels the model. It has fully suspended road wheels that use torsion bars (even though the real vehicle uses leaf springs ) to suspend the rugged chassis. It has a dual axis trunnion that controls the gun's elevation/depression. The trunnion has a mini LA that powers the left/right traverse, and a 1:64 reduction that elevates/depresses the 75mm cannon. Rebrickable LDD/Ldraw instructions soon to come... I have been working on these constantly, so far the model is atleast 1000 parts, and that's with only half of the casemate built. 23. looks great, I can't wait for a video of it in operation.
  24. I do own some cylinders, they can compress somewhat, but I think I found a better solution, there are cylinders with air inside that have springs on the rod, they would work, but they are really stiff. here's the part Technic shock absorber 10L dampened
