  1. I hope Bandmates S2 comes to Australia, I would love to pick up a few (especially the vampire one with the axe guitar)
  2. Putting the sheep into something cheaper and non-licensed (e.g. CMF or one of the smaller City sets) would be a great way to ensure whatever it is in sold like crazy.
  3. I wonder why they picked : and ? as punctuation to include in the set...
  4. Did you have to call in for any of those parts? There are a few there that I have never seen for sale online (like the LEGO tile from the Grand Piano ideas set and the giant shark)
  5. Its a pitty Lizard doesn't seem to be in any major Spider-Man properties right now, Lizard (and possibly Kingpin) are the main Spider-Man bad guys that LEGO have never done...
  6. Showing as "in stock" for Australia as well...
  7. Picked up the 3-in-1 Space Shuttle today, its a fun build and bigger than I expected (the shuttle that is, haven't built the other 2 yet)
  8. Doing more Sesame St stuff would be good (they could include the characters that are popular in the show but didn't get made for the Ideas set like The Count or Grover or Telly or that newer character with the magic wand (who's name I don't know)
  9. Maybe there is something specific about Pixar films then (the number of times the Up house has been put forward and the amount of support various projects have gotten and the overall popularity of that movie suggests that an Up house would probably be a popular set yet it hasn't been made for some reason) Only Pixar Ideas project we got was Wall-E and IIRC the guy who did that was involved with the movie itself (which probably didn't hurt its chances of being turned into a set :)
  10. I wonder if LEGO have decided that (because of their already existing far-ranging deal with Disney) that they aren't going to approve any more Ideas sets based on things Disney owns and that's why all the Disney stuff isn't being approved.
  11. Its entirely possible that the financial accountants took a look at the cost of licensing all that music and the cost of building, updating, running, maintaining and moderating/monitoring the app and decided that they needed to charge x amount in order to cover all those costs on top of the actual cost for the sets and that's why the sets are as expensive as they are.
  12. Did we find out what set the white "brick" bricks that showed up a while back (I have it listed as element ID 6152409 although that seems to have vanished from B&P unfortunately) was going to show up in?
  13. I agree that the mini golf has a really good chance of being approved. Its fun, its got playability (instead of just being something that sits there as a display piece) and its got attraction from people who aren't necessarily LEGO fans. I just hope the fact that the golf club element was last seen in 2019 and only in a single CMF doesn't cause issues in terms of this being made into a set.
  14. I think the bad guy helicopter from the Sky Police line looked really cool and futuristic (reminds me a bit of the helicopter from Avatar or the Orca from Command & Conquer) and more of the same would be neat to see.
  15. Picked up a bunch of exclusive/rare parts from the build-a-fig bin today (Robina LEGO store in Queensland, Australia) and yes the bins in this store are fully open and you can just pick whatever you want. Pink Afro (exclusive) 2x Dark Tan large cowboy hat as seen in tan on the Cowboy Costume CMF (exclusive I think) Green Sombrero (rare, exists only in Maraca Man CMF) Dark Brown hair with 2 buns on top (rare, exists only in 2 Friends micro dolls) Blue police hat with gold badge print (not really rare, just useful) Dark Azure Snowboard with black & white stripes (exclusive I think) Purple Snowboard with "Sport" logo (exclusive) Orange Toolbox (exclusive) Trans-Purple balloon dog (exclusive) 2 x 2 round tile with pie (strawberries etc) pattern (exclusive) Pink pig (rare, exists only in Barracuda Bay and HP Burrow) Teal 1 x 3 brick costume torso (exclusive) Torso with white short sleeve sport/polo shirt, blue collar (exclusive) Torso with dark blue suit, dark blue tie, gold chain and brown hands (rare, exists only in Disney Train) Red torso with chinese symbols and rat print (exclusive) Torso with skeleton print and also some sort of fancy vest jacket with a red heart on the back (exclusive I think) Torso with muscles print, tan shirt, yellow sleeves, brown hands, brown harness with silver buckles (exclusive I think) Short legs black hips, blue feet/boots (exclusive) Short legs teal hips, yellow feet/boots (rare, exists only in the legoland water park) Legs bight light blue hips, blue feet/boots (rare, exists only in Hogwarts Beauxbatons Carriage) Legs white hips, black feet/boots (rare, exists only in Sushi Chef CMF) Legs white hips, blue feet/boots (exclusive I think) Legs dark azure (not really rare, just useful) Head with thick dark brown moustache curved downwards (exclusive) Head double sided little girl with butterfly face paint on one side (exclusive) Head double sided female with makeup/face paint above the eyes, on the lips and on the face more generally (exclusive) Head with orange lens glasses and dark tan facial hair (rare, exists only in a TRU figure pack re-do of the Hippie CMF) Head with smile and gap tooth (rare, exists only in Holiday Elf CMF) Head with grey beard, white highlights and black eyebrows (not really rare, just useful) All in all, happy with the haul I snagged across my 2 packs of 3 figs. Its a pitty Covid meant some of the good stuff from last year (like the torso with the dog in the space helmet on it and the black sausage dog) never made it to Australia :(
  16. The City torso is 6335285 The printed golden Ninjago legs is 6321312 The pink donut is 6323423 The brown donut is 6323422
  17. Hardware store would be great, we haven't had one of those in LEGO before AFAIK.
  18. New Ideas review is up https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/bc3a9a6a-b25b-4089-b524-bfc1dcd76bd5 Looking at the list: Lifeguard Shack. Unlikely because its too similar to Friends/City sets involving beach and summer themes and not interesting/popular enough to sell. Imperial Fort. They wont do another Pirates set so soon. Spaceballs. Will NOT happen due to prohibition of any Spaceballs tie-in product (the details are out there online somewhere) Costume Store. Another modular, wont happen. Dynamite. Nowhere near popular enough a band/song (millions of YouTube views does not equal the kind of popularity that a LEGO set would need) to be a viable set. Plenty of bands/artists that would make good LEGO sets (and be popular enough to work) but this one isn't it. Movie Set. Unlikely to happen due to size and not really having a huge appeal. A-Frame Cabin. Not sure its got enough popular appeal to work plus LEGO does cabins of all sorts already. Boston Dynamics Spot. I doubt this would be all that popular (and I don't know if LEGO could even get the IP). The fact that it needs motors and stuff (or maybe even programmable bricks) makes it even less likely. Medieval Tavern. Too close to the Blacksmith Shop. Women of Computing. This I would buy if it happened but I think its too close to what Women of NASA was plus I don't know if it would have the wide appeal the NASA set did. Tavern under the snow. Again too close to the Blacksmith Shop. Mini Golf Course. This I could see being made. (I would be interested for sure). Its totally different to anything LEGO has done. Its got broad appeal to people outside of LEGO (especially with the playability) Brick Walk. Another modular, wont happen. Floating Island. I would be interested in this because of the really cool physics. I could see this one happening because of how unique the physics are and how cool the design is (although the unique physics might rule it out if its difficult to get a design that meets the LEGO standards in terms of being able to build it, it staying up when built and not being too fragile or easily knocked over etc). GameStop shop. Can't see this happening, LEGO doesn't do real-world retail stores as a rule and I don't see them wanting to be attached to any controversy that GameStop may attract. Aircraft Engine. Probably not enough broad appeal (a complete aircraft would have more appeal and they have rejected any number of those) Mystery Machine. They had the Scooby license previously, presumably if that had worked well they would have done more sets than they did so I can't see this happening. Airport Firetruck. Not sure this would be all that popular and they have done multiple similar vehicles in City and Technic and etc. German Cottage. Probably not enough appeal. Solar System Explorers. We know they probably wont do any more NASA/Space stuff through Ideas and they rejected a few similar projects in the past. Knight Rider. It looks cool but IIRC they have rejected Knight Rider projects in the past and this one is a lot bigger. Not sure I can see this happening. Medieval Watermill. Again too much like the Blacksmith Shop. Jaws. Not sure it will happen but I could be wrong. Sewage. I dont think this has the popularity (who would buy such a set?) Up House. They have rejected multiple Up sets in the past, I doubt this one will be the one that bucks that trend (presumably if they thought an Up House set was viable and they were able to convince Disney to let them make one they would have picked one of the previous designs) Copenhagen. Not sure this would be popular, how many people would want to buy a model of some random buildings in Denmark? (none of which appear to be all that famous) Minas Tirith. They clearly aren't interested in doing more LOTR stuff. The Nanny. Not sure its got the popularity (at least with the right demographic) of Friends or Seinfeld and the set would be a fair bit bigger than either of those sets. Can't see this happening. The Apartment. Another modular, wont happen. The Medieval Fortress. Again, too close to the Blacksmith Shop (and the Creator castle and that one from the Bricklink program) House of Time. The fact that it appears to require mounting to a wall rules it out IMO (that's not something LEGO would approve of) A-Team Van. IIRC they have rejected A-Team projects in the past. Not sure I can see this one happening. Log Cabin. Even more similar to previous cabin sets LEGO have done (although a lot more detailed obviously) From the list I would potentially be interested in the Women of Computing ("shut up and take my money please LEGO" on that one), the mini golf, the floating island (just for the unique and fun physics involved), Sewage set (if it had interesting parts and figs) and maybe the Knight Rider set (I love that show)
  19. Maybe if it came with a full orchestra and a bunch of different instruments I might be interested but otherwise, that sounds boring to me.
  20. Maybe we could get some sort of recreation/leisure related building ala the Palace Cinema. A video arcade would probably be a popular set or a bowling alley maybe. Other than the Palace Cinema I think the only other thing along those lines we got was the gym upstairs in the Downtown Diner...
  21. I think the gimmick with the motors (which pushes up the price of the bikes) will backfire and will result in lower sales than would have been the case if the bikes were normal bikes and where cheaper as a result.
  22. Picked up the Marvel Advent Calendar today, its got a lot of nice parts and little builds in it (no I didn't wait until December so I can open one door every day, I just opened all the doors and built it all :) Now I finally have all 6 Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet. Anyone know if the bigfig hulk can wear the Infinity Gauntlet and if so, how you do it?
  23. An optometrist is something else I would love to see (they could do it similar to how they put a dentist in the AS or a vet in the CG) The last City hospital had something like that but it wasn't exactly up to the standards of a modular.
  24. Some nice pieces in the new sets including car doors in dark tan, a new version of the classic 2 x 2 round modern white clock tile and the cheese slope in light royal blue. But most interestingly to me is that the female ponytail hair piece comes in unprinted black for the first time outside of a nearly impossible to get Team GB CMF and an even harder to get Toys R Us promo. If it becomes available for sale on B&P I will be buying quite a few since I have wanted this particular part for a long time :)
  25. So is the Joker in the big Tumbler actually a Heath Ledger joker? Which of the parts of that figure are new?
