I think something such as Himeji Castle in Japan would make a good Architecture set. As would the Tower of London. Or the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain. Or the Louvre in France. Or the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.

Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores

I managed to get a Diagon Alley, a Hogwarts Battle, a Knight Bus, a Forbidden Forrest, an Earth Defense HQ, and an Alien Defender home by bus so I know its possible :) -
The picture of the sticker sheet confirms that the Banjo is most definatly a sticker.

LightningTiger, you clearly arent the target audience for these sets. I am also not the target audience for these sets but I can see enough to know that they WILL be attractive to the sort of girls who like Polly Pocket, Bratz etc.

More small sets in City is a GOOD thing, it will make it easier for kids (who may not be able to spend the big cost of sets like the police station, harbor, rocket launch pad etc all in one go but who may be able to buy more smaller sets over time) to get them all.

How do we know for sure that the headgear is compatible with system figs?

The joker must have inhaled so much of the special chemicals he is always trying to infect Gotham with that he is permanently like that :)

The Cars parts were probably printed because they are curved at various wierd angles and hence stickering would have been hard and also possibly a business decision like the Toy Story 3 sets to make the parts printed for that theme rather than stickered. As for the letters, they are printed because LEGO has printed that part for so long (and uses it in so many sets) that they can get away with printing it rather than stickering it. (i.e. they will be able to make and use enough that its justified)

Can anyone identify what piece is being used to join the 2 yellow taps together in the Saxophone? My guess is that its a 1x1 plate with light clip and the 1x1 plate part is hidden from view. As for the banjo, I am 99% sure its a sticker like everything else in this set. LEGO doesn't make new printed parts for sets like this as a general rule (exceptions like minifig heads do exist though)

I think the design of the figs is intended to draw from Bratz, Polly Pocket and other popular girls toys. Would have been nice to see a minifig scale theme ala Paradisa but I think there are valid reasons why LEGO wants to market to girls with figures and accessories that are larger and more detailed

This "Forrest Rangers" sounds good if the color scheme is right. And wow, a Ranger hat? Now THAT I like. Hopefully this theme could come with other cool new accessories and bits.

If this is true, that's good news for train fans who should be able to pick one up at a %off sale. -
I suspect the VW Van will be stickers not prints because A.LEGO does not normally do printed parts for D2C sets (unless those printed parts are already being used in other sets like the clock tile) and B.LEGO has an ironclad policy of not using other brands (like Shell, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maresk etc) on printed parts. That means that the VW sticker on the front at least has to be a sticker (which makes it very likely that everything else is) I am liking the winter village post office (can anyone see from the video clip how to build the Saxophone?). And that VW Van may be the thing that actually gets me to (GASP) start LIKING German cars...

Nice job, looks great.

Can anyone tell me where those printed legs on the music store guy come from?

I love the statue of liberty, the leprechaun, the auto mechanic, the genie (it looks like the end of the genie fits into the mouth of the lamp) and the minotaur. By far the best of the lot (and close to the best of any series to date) has to be that butcher, especially that piece of steak. -
That is a NICE Lamborghini :)

Lucky Europeans finding these, I wish the Australian retailers would hurry up and get these out on the shelf, I want a bunch of em for various projects (Gangster, Graduate, Lumberjack and others) -
WOW, this really makes me feel like some Nachos right now.

The set that brought me out of my dark ages was the 8448 Super Street Sensation. The wheels on that set are some of the best technic wheels of all time IMO.

Are those dark bluish grey handcuffs in that one picture (as opposed to the normal light bluish grey we have been getting in every set to date)? If so, cool.

Do we actually have official names for these yet? -
Nothing interesting then except that windscreen (and I just realized that I have not one but TWO in that color sitting in my box of Alien Conquest bits)
