Sets with gearboxes

The classic 8880 Supercar has an excellent gear box mechanism (including a special gear stick and plate piece that are both exclusive to this set). The 8466 and 8448 are also great sets (I own both sets but sadly no 8880) -
AN AMAZING_brick_BAZAAR in Australia has 39 of em in black (and postage from .au shouldn't be as expensive as postage from .us)

I got my first 8, zookeeper, boxer, Eskimo, gangster, clown, lumberjack, snowboarder and graduate. Feeling-the-bag is definatly easier than the dot codes. -
A new Jabbas set would be good, I own the original Jabbas Palace and its good. Maybe make it a larger play-set along the lines of the Endor bunker battle set with a rancor pit, prison cells etc. Oh and lots of minifigs.

Just bought 8 S5 figs from MYER Perth CBD @ $4.95 each. -
Bottles can be obtained from Pirates Of The Caribbean sets or you could use the new BrickForge bottle pieces. Can also use 1 x 1 round bricks as cans or regular bricks with stickering to represent boxes/slabs/etc

Bottle shop sounds nice, what brand would you use?

I have also seen 1 or 2 of the small Cars sets in my local woolies. -
Grand Emporium is the best of the modular buildings to date IMO and I am glad I was able to get one :)

I have nothing against Technic parts in non-Technic sets, in fact non-Technic sets can be a good way to get certain Technic parts not so often seen in Technic sets anymore such as the studded beams.

Spare parts!

I use these http://www.fischerplastics.com.au/ProductPages/StorageBoxes.html to store most of my technic. Larger parts like wheels and things go in large boxes and drawers. -

Nice to know they are out there but given my utter hatred for eBay (for reasons I wont go into) that doesn't help. So I am waiting for them to hit the shelves locally OR for someone in Australia to start selling the ones I want on Bricklink. -

Spotted a new (well new to me) NinjaGo case/battle play-mat in K-Mart in Belmont today. Big W Belmont still has at least one of the UCS imperial shuttles left as well as some of the Pharaoh's Quest stuff. Plenty of Heroica, new NinjaGo and new Hero Factory around if you are looking for that. No sign of any Alien Conquest at either store though. Still no sign of any Series 5 anywhere :( (although I did see some remaining Series 4 stock if anyone in the west is still looking for some) -
Nice ship you got there. Really fits the Ice Planet theme.

If you just want a train set, the red passenger train is a good place to start. Gives you all the parts you need to make trains and at a reasonable price.

For those who havent seen it (or those who want to see it again), the LEGO episode of James May's Toy Stories is on SBS1 next Friday at 7:30pm -
I dont mind cheese slopes, I use them for all sorts of things (including headlights and taillights on vehicles) and can always use more (especially in trans-red, trans-clear and trans-orange) Just wish LEGO would use more 1x1 tiles in trans colors instead of always using the cheese everywhere.

Nice job. I envy you for having both the NinjaGo AND Pharaoh's Quest maps when I cant get either of those (I am on a mission to collect every map tile ever made :)

Based on what happened with Series 3 and Series 4, which store is likely to be the first store to get Series 5?
