Is there a cheaper way to get the Bank & Money Transfer than buying from K-Mart that doesn't involve PayPal? (i.e. buying from overseas BL sellers is out) -
Definitely my favorite set when I was a kid has to be the 6973 Deep Freeze Defender, to me its one of the coolest spaceships LEGO has ever done. (better than any of the classic space ships, better than anything from recent space themes like Space Police, better than anything from Star Wars) Also high on the list are the 6890 Cosmic Cruiser, 6882 Walking Astro Grappler, 6073 Knights Castle, 6285 Black Seas Barracuda and 6371 Shell Service Station. I now own all the parts (and in some cases the manuals) for the space sets plus I own the BSB reissue. (with proper shooting canons thanks to a no-longer-existing local second hand toyshop)

I built a police wagon like that a while back (although mine was based off a WA police paddy wagon with a cage on the back covered in blue canvas) I am also in the planning stages for a dark blue version of the paddy wagon to represent the railway police vehicle I saw (and photographed) a while back (hopefully I now have enough dark blue to pull it off, plus I still have to figure out what color to use for the base and wheel arches since the wheel arches dont come in dark blue. Thinking black might work for that)

I think its either a shopping mall with a travel agent or its a transit hub (airport, bus station, boat terminal etc)

My understanding of the law is that if the shelf price (or price tag) says x, they have to sell it for x. -
Your clues indicate either a department store or a shopping mall :)

This set is better than I thought. Still not good enough to make me want it though :)

Ok so it looks like the globe will have the same print as the one in POTC but with a different color scheme. Ok so it looks like the globe will have the same print as the one in POTC but with a different color scheme.

The curved slope also exists in white although I dont know that a white steam locomotive would work... -
Just goes to show that no matter what color scheme you invent, there is a real-world prototype somewhere for it :)

Good to know PQ is going to hit .AU, I cant wait for the golden staff guardians to appear :) -
NICE. No way my as-yet-unbuilt lime green hatchback can match that lime green locomotive for lime green awesomeness.

Whats the cheapest way to get a London Escape (cheapest including shipping and etc) that doesn't involve PayPal (i.e. buying from overseas BL store is out) Is buying from Target @ 20% off the best option or are there ways to have it shipped from overseas that would wind up cheaper when all the shipping costs (including re-shipping if using a forwarding service) are taken into account? -
The 1 x 4 x 6 door already exists in white (in a police set) But yes I agree, I would love to see it in more colors.

The battle pack looks good and the civilian looks like he could be generically useful even if you owned a few (the head is great and the torso would go great for businessmen, executives and others who wear suits)

Talking of windows, I wish the glass for the new 1 x 2 x 3 and 1 x 4 x 3 windows existed in trans-light-blue and trans-smoke as well as trans-clear.

I seem to remember reading that the Hogwarts set included some sort of map or globe or something, is this true and if so where can I see a picture? (it is my mission in life to collect every single map and globe ever produced by TLG)

I think the comment about the Knight Bus refers to the fact that it can rebuilt from the triple decker bus into a double decker bus (i.e. London bus) or a single decker bus (i.e. regular bus) Does anyone know if any of these 3 new HP sets contain new parts (including new patterns/stickers) and if so, does anyone have pictures?

MYER Perth CBD has POTC in stock now. David Jones Perth CBD had a whole pile of unopened boxes in the toy section labeled for POTC and for Cars . The Cars 2 stuff had stickers on it saying "dont put out until <some date>" so I dont know if David Jones was intending to put them on the shelf or not. Target Perth CBD had POTC and Target East Vic Park had both POTC and some of the Cars 2 stuff (like the small race car and tow truck) Nothing at all new at Big W in Riverton Was ALMOST tempted to buy a London Escape but having spent money on some badly needed new jeans, I decided not to :) (plus I am sure that there will be plenty of opportunities to get it at least as cheap as Target currently has it for, if not cheaper) Looks like Target is the best place to get POTC at this point unless you have vouchers/credit (or really good staff discounts) for some other retailer. -
I also think the police line is the best of the 2011 City sets. I bought the prisoner van, minifig pack, command truck and police station and may also buy the bank & money transfer (if I can find a copy at a price that isn't highway robbery that is) and also am considering buying another prisoner van for parts. The only City Space set I bought is the sattelite launch van (the rest dont appeal to me) And none of the harbor sets appeal to me at all (even less so than the last round of harbor sets)

What part(s) are being used for that clockface?

Damn I wish I had more money. I want the London Escape set for parts but even at the discount price of $80 or so, I am not sure I can justify it :( Plus even at 20% off, its still somewhere in the neighborhood of 2x the US price :( I could order it from the US but most of the US sites that will ship internationally tend not to be that good (e.g. B&N and the stories going around about that) plus I gotta pay shipping, debit card fees etc and wait for it to arrive. Maybe I should hope someone gives a discount on the London Escape that's as good as what Target are doing on the QAR... -
Nice Ranger. Reminds me a lot of the cab chassis Colorado I built for my Holden Dealer.
