If there is someone reading this thread with a copy of this set (or access to the box), can they post a high-res picture of either the inventory in the instruction book or the inventory on the side of the box? Be nice to know exactly what parts come in this set :)

Thanks for the tip, a quick call to all 4 TRU stores in WA shows that Joondalup and Morley have stock. Will be going to one or both very soon :) -

It's official, there is not a single retailer in the west that knows about Seres 6, let alone where & when I can get some :( -

As of today I can add that MYER in Fremantle has all the new City. Note that you should check your receipts/purchases carefully because I nearly got overcharged (was buying the new cop car set and it was ringing up as the police pursuit set with the dark red pickup truck until I pointed out the price mistake and insisted on getting it at the correct price. Also Big W in Cockburn has some of the new City in stock (at least according to the labels on the cardboard boxes in the pile of boxes on the floor of the toy section) So the best bet for cheap City is to hope MYER has a sale then hit Carousel or Fremantle (or other MYER stores if their stock has arrived) For S6, I am hoping that at least one of the 4 WA TRUs will get a box or 2 in before the sale (in which case I will buy as many as they will sell me or until I have all the ones I want) Believe it or not, this week I have visited every single major shopping center in Perth looking for 2012 stock except Mirrabooka (and I have to go there tomorrow to drop off my new lease to the estate agent) The things us AFOLs do for our hobby :) -
The clock in the Cars set was a sticker on a 6 x 6 tile. This looks like a 6 x 6 radar dish. Wouldn't be the first time a new print has been done for a d2c set, the Tower Bridge got a new print for the shields at the top and the Kingdoms Joust got new prints for the black falcon shield and horse armor thing.

WOW, this is one of the BEST MOCs I have EVER seen.

WOW. Just WOW. Columns that are brick-built instead of just using the 2x2 round ribbed column piece. Printed clock. Smaller beard from the CMF fisherman and dwarf. Fez hat as part of a lamp. Globe of the world piece. POTC painting (unlike some, I like this piece as I don't own it yet :) Bley frog. More windows (always a good thing) Great selection of figs (can anyone identify what torso is being used for the fig with the dark green legs? Or for the fig with the grey hair? (the latter almost looks like its the torso from the Alien Conquest businessman but I cant be sure) Interesting to note that the set appears to come with one of the new brick separator pieces. Only downside is that if this thing is more expensive than the Fire Brigade was, there is no way I will be able to afford to buy one :(

The new small weapons in the Heroica sets (and in the Kingdoms blacksmith shop) are also counted as a single part. As for the Vet itself, great review and the set looks good. Hopefully the new stable door appears in brown or black. Wouldn't surprise me if a future wave of Friends uses the medical accessories in a hospital along the lines of to the Belville hospital sets of the past.

MYER Cannington had all the new city (including the new police station). Now we just need a sale :) No Series 6 in the west yet though :( -

Oh yeah TRU in Morley had a few of the City sets (fire airplane, orange tipper truck maybe others) At most of the Big W stores I called (looking for S6) the staff didn't have much of a clue what I was asking about. -

For anyone in the west, Midland Target has the new police helicopter, ambulance, garbage truck, dirt bike transporter, dump truck, car & caravan, fire truck, fire plane and small fire quad bike thing. Almost bought some stuff but I know that if I wait, Target will have 20% off and I can get a discount :) -

No sign of any Series 6 or City in the west yet. Hit Joondalup, Whitfords, Innaloo and Karrinyup plus Target in Perth CBD. Plenty of places had the various new Creator sets and the new Racers sets. Also spotted the new Build & Rebuild police set and the garage/vehicles set. Lets hope we dont have to wait 3 weeks for the sets to cross the Nullabor as usually happens :( -

With the news about how many BigW stores have Series 6 now, maybe I should go out tomorrow and see how many BigW stores I can hit :) -

Good to hear that S6 figs and some of the City sets are starting to appear on the shelves. Hopefully I can find some in the west without needing to wait weeks :) Maybe once I get some S6 figs, it might inspire me to start building again :) -
The "continuity" of recent action themes
jonwil replied to Haltiamieli's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Alien Conquest being discontinued is sad as I thought it was the best space theme in at least 10 years (and bought all the sets that were sold in Australia, i.e. everything except the battle pack and polybag). But conversely its good for my wallet that 2012 wont have any space theme. -
If only this set (or the NICE 1 x 1 tiles in dark blue) was actually available to me :(

I love the way you did the ram skull for Skeletor. The Ghostbusters are great too. Cant wait until you turn other classic cartoons into MOCs :) -

I haven't seen it mentioned yet but just I saw a MYER TV ad for 25% off LEGO until the 11th December. -
I voted for Ice Planet 2002 (still the BEST space theme ever created), Alien Conquest (BEST space/sci-fi type theme in at least a decade) and Blacktron 1

As of today, there are no Pet Shops or Grand Emporiums on the shelf at DJs in the Perth CBD. No shortage of Fire Brigades though. Also, Toyworld in Rockingham (if you can get down that way) has 30% off all LEGO (or so says the TV commercial I saw earlier) -
I am sure our local LEGO club could meet the requirements, I just need to convince the guys running the thing that its worth all the effort that goes into a LUGBULK order (and that its better than just buying huge amounts of bits from Bricklink)

For the ADU, the set that I would like to see is something like the Space Police base from Space Police III, a place where captured aliens and equipment are brought to be further studied. And maybe some smaller fighter type ships aimed at bringing down ADU fighters and smaller saucers. Maybe a mecha of some sort, big and beefy with lots of those flick-fire missiles. For the aliens, I am sure there are more things they could make, maybe some more ground vehicles.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
jonwil replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Actually, I remember a story about how the producers of the PC game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 had to change the look and name of their "Eiffel Tower" model (they called it the "Paris Tower" IIRC) because of some legal issues about using the real thing in the game.
