I heard an old rumor that the "construction" sets (which I guess are these mining sets) will have yellow construction helmets instead of the usual red helmets we got in the past. Or maybe we will see TLG build a new helmet style with a lamp on the front.

MYER Perth CBD had about 30 or so of the red cargo train as well as stock of the technic backhoe loader, bucket truck and flatbed truck. The only 2011 technic set I dont remember seeing in stores yet is the Unimog. -
I LOVE what you are doing with your town, you have a great talent for building realistic-looking small-town Australia shops and buildings. Your Ford dealer is almost perfect (other than the fact that its a Ford dealer and not a Holden dealer :P ) and your other creations are just as good.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

I think the doctor/surgeon would have looked better with a scalpel or stethoscope. In fact, since these are preliminary images, things may change and we may get such a thing :) -

WOW. Put me down for an alien, a genie, a statue of liberty, a female astronaut, a female skateboarder, a bandit, at least 3 of the doctor/surgeon (my doctor sister will like that one too especially if its female), a leprechaun plus multiples of the mechanic (who for some reason makes me think of "Happy Days") and butcher. Maybe also the flamenco dancer and the one with the teddy bear. The doctor/surgeon is the best of the theme for me with the butcher and mechanic close behind. I recon Series 6 is the best yet. Lets hope the price doesn't go up AGAIN for S6 :( -
Just remember, we dont know what city sets may be comming out in the middle of 2011 (this time last year we certainly didnt know about the harbor sets for example)

But that's only tiny, I want something bigger with multiple apartments inside. Oh and a variety of different minifigs for the tenants :)

Some ideas: A highly detailed realistic technic fighter jet (maybe patterned after an F-14 Tomcat or something) with moving flaps, landing gear, rudder etc. Oh and a techinc action figure in a flight suit with a proper fighter pilots helmet. A huge technic Lamborghini supercar at least as large as the 8880 if not larger with the engine in the rear, functioning drive, steering and gearbox, scissor lift doors etc. Would include instructions on building it in both hardtop and convertible versions (with parts included to make the proper top for the convertible version) A modular apartment building similar to the new york style Tenements so often seen on TV and in movies. At least 5 floors with fire escapes, balconies and other details.

Both spongebob sets have been on the Target shelves since their big mid-year sale. You should be able to find them if they havent vanished already. -
Is it really necessary to call the fire brigade because of scorpions?

I can confirm that it IS the 5767 Cool Cruiser that is involved here. One of the guys from my LUG sent me an email and told me that he had a couple free copies of the 5767 to give me so its obviously from this.

Should be good for people wanting Series 5 (assuming Target has stock when the sale hits) -

I found all 15 of the figs I wanted (including the 3 gangsters) with the feel trick. Much easier than the dots. -
Some sort of takeaway joint would be perfect. The kind that sells Fish & Chips, Burgers, Pies and other unhealthy fried product.

Nice looking accessories, the Sombrero is cool and the Cowboy Hat is a better looking option than the TLG Cowboy Hat. The Tommy Gun is also great, looks perfect for gangsters (and better than the TLG tommy gun from Batman).

1h 2012 models

Looks like we get YET ANOTHER crane :( The jet plane sounds interesting, TLG havent done a technic airplane in a while, will be interesting to see what sort of airplane it is. I still think that taking a set like 4953 Fast Flyers or 5892 Sonic Boom and making a technic version of a similar airplane (using whatever bright colors and things are necessary to avoid the "no military sets" rule they have, same as they did on the 2 Creator sets) as a large flagship with moveable flaps, spinning fan blades, moveable landing gear and other details (possibly even swing-wings like on the 4953 main model) would be a good idea for TLG and would sell a lot. -
How about a place that sells hats, belts, leather goods and related things (I know a few country towns that have such shops) Even saddles and horse gear maybe.

Finding the clown can be done by looking for the hat or the pie. Finding the gangster is best done by looking for the fedora or the instrument case.

No sign of the red cargo train at MYER in Morley or Perth CBD. Both have S5 minifigs (although Perth didnt have any Gangsters when I was there earlier which is why I ended up at Morley for the 2 I wanted. Morley may also now have none left, I didnt check further :) Morley was putting out a large amount of stock when I was there. They have the new Kingdoms, new NinjaGo, Alien Conquest, Star Wars (including the Falcon) and plenty of pretty much everything else MYER is meant to have in stock at this point. (including plenty of Heroica stock) Target Morley had some of the new Kingdoms in stock, as did K-Mart. Quite a bit of Series 3 and Series 4 around (K-Mart had both on the shelf with a $5 price tag and TRU also had both) Oh and for all this BS from K-Mart about how their prices are down and this whole "ok" business plastered throughout their stores (and TV ads), there LEGO prices are no better than MYER or Target these days (and both of those retailers have %off sales) I remember the days when Big W was good for a few % off RRP (more on large sets, sometimes 10% or more) but now both Big W and K-Mart pricing is pathetic. -
I dont know why but for some reason this MOC makes me think of The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Great mage tower and great collection of potions and magic artifacts.

Anyone know if David Jones will actually get some decent stock levels in for the Pet Shop or will it be like the Grand Emporium last year where you are lucky if they have ONE in stock? And does anyone know when the Pet Shop is going to hit retail? What about the Winter Post Office, do we know if that is hitting retail or will that be a 2012 release if anything?
