brilliant! love it. great first post.

thanks all :)

first i'd need to get me some power modules...but then a powered slide out would be awesome!
-
no, but i'll probably go back and build it in LDD now, since i like keeping a digital record of my MOCs. very USA indeed :) thx!

love this. and love the look of RV roof bit on it's side for the trailer front, that looks great.

thx! and yeah the 8W is nice, but it really does make sense since my vans and small trucks are 6W, and in real life they are like 6ft wide and the RV is 8ft wide. i tried it first at 6W and it was definitely a pita!

thanks a bunch, yeah the retractable stairs was a tough puzzle. i totally agree on wheels, not happy with them. i wanted to create dually in the back and single in the front AND use those mudguards, but i'm not sure that's working. i'm still looking for slightly larger wheels that may work a bit better or i may just have to give u one the mud guards so i can tuck the rear wheels in a bit more.

hey all, check out this replica RV i created as a homage to the RV we lived in for 5 years. since my other cars and small trucks are 6 wide i made the house section of this RV 8 wide which i think works well for the scale. you can see more pics on my imgur album here... http://imgur.com/gallery/CmIgy/ and you can see pics of the real RV here... http://odometer.org/rv/ here's a few teaser pics, feel free to offer any feedback or suggestions... the real RV... one of the cool features is the slide out entrance stairs... and of course the slide out couch nook... cheers droo

holy s**t stars. this is amazing.

yeah i really like this, and can't wait to see it in plastic. if i could make a suggestion, the back is a big wall of yellow. what about like a big exterior ventilation shaft or fire escape stairwell to break it up and add some details? just a thought, great MOC and great take on a stock set.

hey all, so normally i like to make town and vehicle related stuff, but when /r/lego posted a challenge for a retro-inspired build i knew i wanted to do a space station build and give some new life to my old space bricks from my childhood in the 80's. i thought i'd share here since i'm sure some of you will enjoy. you can see all pics w/ captions here... http://imgur.com/a/EBTIb here's a few highlights to get you interested, the build was inspired by set #6970 with it's monorail shuttle and big command center screen.

thanks all, i'm pretty happy with it. as for the LDD file, here you go Sean. i should have included it before. i played around with grill ideas in plastic first but since i had to order some orange bricks this was my first model i built completely in LDD first. enjoy and please share any builds you guys do, i would love to see them. oh and i think the bumper in the LDD is different, i ran out of 1x1 white tiles so used jumpers instead, but i'm happy with the change. bronco.lxf

i've been creating a series of 4x4 MOCs and modded stock sets and while building a stock truck i noticed it was almost like a Bronco, so i decided to go for it and make one that was definitely a Bronco. the hardest part of the build was the grill, so many lego trucks look the same around the grill and i really wanted this to look like a Bronco's grill. the hard part was that the Bronco's turn signals are in front and given the LEGO scale limitation i was limited to a 1x1 round plate for the turn signals. which then made for a really small grill, which the Bronco doesn't have. it's hard to see in this pic, but i put the orange singles under the grill so they kind of poke thru and look smaller. the other trick was getting the big tall front face of the Bronco grill. two stud height was too much so used a plate and tile top and bottom to make it look taller than just a single brick height. i thought about doing white fenders, but it was a bit too cluttered that way unlike my other 4x4's that are more set up for the expedition look, i tried to keep the Bronco simple and classic. All this dude packed was a cooler and some firewood. he's ready to hit the trails and sleep under he stars.

cool. i'm not sure it needs the tommy guns, i don't think i've ever seen a police copter armed. also the police tiles don't really jive with the brown and the placement of them seems off. what if you put the 1x2 bricks under the front windshield on each side then used some sort of bracket piece to mount the 1x2 printed tiles to the side of the tail boom?

yeah i like that. i've been tempted to use the small antenna as wipers but on my trucks i'm using that 4x6 hood plate and i didn't like how they stuck up so much, but here the base would hide nicely and you could fit two.

Minifig Scale VW Syncro Westfalia Camper MOC
droomangroup replied to droomangroup's topic in LEGO Town
thx guys, yeah i'm happy with the interior as well. i knew i couldn't cram a full westy kit in there, but wanted to make something of the camper so there would be something to see inside. i just realized the white one is missing 1x1 plates on the back bumper to fill in the fender gap...oh well. shows how good i am at following directions (even when they are mine) -
wow, as a lego and vw lover those busses and ghias are amazing. i've seen the busses in a gas station set, but haven't seen all the variations, amazing. thanks for sharing.

hey all, i'm new to eurobricks, but after recently getting into a house with lots of space (after 5 years of traveling and living in an RV) i have finally set up a lego area and have started to go nuts with doing MOCs. my first one is this late 80's Syncro VW Westy (vw vans is my other passion :). i thought i'd share and get some feedback from you guys. i've revised it a bunch of different times, but i'm open to feedback or suggestions. of course it's all lego, but i did do one odd thing. the tires are the 24x12 ballon tires stretch to fit on the 14's. i just felt the 12 rims were too small and out of scale, but i liked the tires. i've looked in LDD extended and can't find any offroad tires for those rims, does anyone know of any? anyway, enjoy... interior... white version... on this one i included a jerry can... cheers! drew

Does your current Lego setup inspire you to build?
droomangroup replied to trippybrowneyes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
thanks! i did build it myself. it's a simple "farm table" made from 4x4's and 2x4's, if you google around you can google "farm table 4x4" and you find several instructions. i just shortened it a bit and added casters on the bottom then did a black melamine top trimmed with pine strips. it's pretty easy to make the only thing that's spendy about it is that i bought a Kreg pocket hole jig to make it which is like $90 or something, but i used it for four other tables in a craft room i made for my wife, so it was worth it. the design on the top is an original design i made a while ago and is a decal i cut on my vinyl cutter :) we LOVE the grey, this room is adjacent to our craft room which has an accent wall of lime green that looks awesome. i got the grey color at home depot, it's a behr color "Anonymous 780F-5" that is a before picture, but it stays pretty clean, we try to resort/clean up every week or so. i think what i need now is more shelves for displaying MOCs and the like. thx :) -

why yes it does... it's not crazy sorted, but since i share with my 9yo i kept the sorting simple, some color, some type. we may refine in the future but so far it works ok for our needs and collection.
