Yes the modules are group or individually addressable. Looks like up to 64 on the one port

I don't follow you...

You can also use these to connect straight. http://www.mindsensors.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=136 Have a look around the site, they have lots of accessories.

Can't give you an exact reference, but it looks possible. There are a lot of articles around describing how to interface NXT to i2c devices. Can't say for EV3. Good luck

That's very cool. Love how you did the exhaust manifold. Such a great little detail. -
The case looks good, nice and compact. As a classic technic fan, the studded case would suit me just fine. Easy to add holes if needed as you say. Really stoked that it uses NXT compatible BT. That was a big let down for me with SBrick. So can I buy a kit yet? :)

I use quite a few of these; http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25023__turnigy_aa_lsd_2400mah_low_self_discharge_ready_to_use_.html They hold their charge well. -
Ah yes of course, each direction - my bad. Watching with interest in how it progresses.

Thanks for the update. 28 is far better than 14. Anything that can be bumped off to dedicated hardware will operate very well, but no need to battle with it just for the sake of it.

If you're not using the existing IR transmitter or receiver on either end and don't need to keep compatibility, why keep the stepped power outputs limited to only +/-7 levels? It would make for smoother acceleration and turning if you split it up over a wider range wouldn't it, or have I missed something? I don't understand why they limited themselves in the original protocol either. Couldn't wait a few milliseconds to transmit a couple of extra bits?

That is a real shame that you guys can't aim to make a clean sweep of the different platforms, but I do understand that in the hardware/firmware/comms interoperability battle you have to make certain concessions. Just accidentally leave the SDA and SCL lines marked on the PCB silkscreen and let the end user worry about those costly hardware modifications :)- 771 replies

On the mindstorms integration, is the BT in the NXT (or EV3 for that matter) not compatible with the module you are using in Sbrick? Would it be possible to offer a library so that Sbrick/s could be slaved to a mindstorms controller?- 771 replies
