  1. *Your entry has earned 4 XP* Take the opportunity to better experience the rural landscape of one of the Clone War's best preserved battlefields by walking one of Felucia's trails. The trails are gently rolling, but the surface can be slightly uneven, so good walking shoes are recommended. For a safe and enjoyable hike, please stay on the trails. Safety concerns include jungle rancors, stinging nettle mushrooms, stinging slugs and be sure to watch for sarlac holes. The park is open during daylight hours. Additional information is available for some trails.
  2. *Your entry has earned 3 XP* The newest Cerean crewman was certain something was stalking him through the tight, dark corridors of the C.F.S. Avarice engine block. As soon as he made the corner, he decided to make a run for it... ...a small click-clack-click-clack followed... ...the little droid would have to meet his shipmate another day.
  3. *Your entry has earned 4 XP* Wine Country Trails By Tee-Muss offers a one of kind tee-muss riding experience through the beautiful vineyards of the Felucian Wine Country. 4. Thanks. Pretty much like that first WIP I posted on discord. Not a design I’d use regularly
  5. *Your entry has earned 3 XP*
  6. The Era Builds and Holocrons are the only active bonuses active right now. Eventually there will be a chose your own adventure challenge that incorporates skills. Plenty to build in the meantime.
  7. Yes. Collaborating is encouraged. Unless they are Era Builds, each builders work should be posted separately.
  8. It is suppose to be water, partly gray because it’s easier to get parts (Joel takes all my trans-light blue tiles), but also because the beachfront from ROTS was very cloudy and the water looked tan-gray. I wish I did have time for some trees or stumps. @DrMuttonchops if you get on Discord I’ll send you some shots of the guts. It’s mostly snotwork
  9. why do you hate pillars so much? Good choice on the face and cloth-parts, but I will be obsessing over a better way to attach those horns now. I'm thinking the only way to do it is to avoid a regular minifig head and then have to cover up the face. Your way does get the job done, but the transition is a bit too crude for me. Beautiful build. The helmet memorials are cool, and the angles you got on those leaves is great.
  10. Sorry to call you out. I did make it quite the prefix nightmare with this episode
  11. *Your entry has earned 3 XP* On board the C.F.S. Avarice in the Little Churnis sector. Ansionian assistants have proven... difficult.
  12. *Your entry has earned 8 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* With the galaxy open again to non-humans, a Herglic shipwright finds his way to Kashyyyk to revive the shipbuilders guild lost during the Imperial occupation.
  13. Absolutely. Important thing is a good build and a good representation of the species.
  14. I considered doing a Harch and was going to use Ando as the planet. I think it’s fine to just use the closest planet, especially for this contest. Like for the Selonians, I think putting them on Corellia would be fine. @MKJoshA keeps filling out his Ep3 forms incorrectly, otherwise I’d tell you what he put for the Harch planet. :D
  15. https://discord.gg/jwp7zwC I'm going to try to make more announcements on this server to help keep people in the loop. If you use Discord, I could use your help.
  16. I don’t think you’d get as good of a score, but yes. The point is to use your LEGO creatively to represent species of non-humans that LEGO hasn’t done well, using any parts at your disposal (except those LEGO has designed for the species). Hopefully we’ll get a nice catalog of non-humans out of this that others can use in their builds to make them more unique. Sorry for the confusion about “Brick-built.” I’m a sucker for alliteration and technically all minifigure parts are still bricks.
  17. When posting your build, be sure to post it to the planet you are earning IP for: the home world of the non-human.
  18. Nice base. I think you should spend more editing time with that over the microship. Your microscale architectural work is pretty good.
  19. Good catch. Thank you. Now build something, slacker.
  20. Depends on the droid, but any planet that manufactures that type of droid would be fine. I have a bunny droid in the works for Coachelle.
  21. Scores are up for all but the last two builds. If your build doesn't have a score, you may have forgotten the form for it. Check with your faction leaders if you can't find your score.
  22. There are some nice details, the door especially, but I struggle to see past the sand. I also like the roller coaster parts, but I don't care for the domes and the way you included the rounded plates. The wall is nice, but the Encounter-on-Jakku tarp doesn't seem to fit. I think if there wasn't so much contrast between studs and smooth parts it would help these elements blend in more and not be so jarring.
  23. With the fall of the Empire, non-human sentiments are reappearing in the Core Worlds. Some are disgusted by the migrants, many are profiting, more are sympathetic, few actually help. Contest Specifics: Build a non-human minifigure out of bricks. Must be in minifigure scale. Build a scene showing them traveling to the Core Worlds, arriving somewhere in the Core Worlds, or being visited by New Republic diplomats on their home world. Include a picture of the non-human you are portraying and a link to their Wookieepedia page. If you and Wookieepedia don't know where a species is from, you can use the planet on which they are seen in the canonical or expanded universe material. Please provide enough information for judges and other builders to find pictures or descriptions of the species. The Rules: Must be minifigure-scale. May not be a non-human as produced by LEGO. That means don't throw a molded Ewok head on a torso and call it an Ewok. The idea is to make unique, brick-built minifigures. Minifigure parts can be used (for example, the title pic has droid arms for legs and a helmet for a head), but use them in a unique way, ideally to create a non-human that they were not intended to represent. Droids are okay, as long as it is original (not produced by LEGO). So probe droids and battle droids wouldn't be original, but L3-37 or AZI-3 would be fine. Ideally these are droids with some personality, but if it is a unique representation without relying on LEGO molds, it should be okay. Feel free to check with Faction Leaders. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Factions subforum, the title prefixed by [Factions Ep. 3] [Species - Home Sector - Home Planet] [Build Sector - Build Planet - Faction]. For example, “[Factions Ep. 3] [Skakoan - L9 - Skako] [M12 - Hosnian Prime - CFS] Techno Union Reformed”. You may post as many entries as you want. However, please be mindful of the quality of your builds. Judges reserve the right to award 0 points to exceedingly poor entries that seem to be taking advantage of this allowance. All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submittal Form (When submitting the form, use the Home Sector and Home Planet for the non-human entry) All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds, as long as they follow the above described goals. The Episode will run from September 4th to October 31st. As long as it is still Oct 31st somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the episode and will not be eligible to receive points or XP. Entries will be judged according to the following rules: Your build can earn up to 50 points. The amount of points you earn is also the amount of XP your character earns. IP will be earned on the non-human’s home planet (not the location of your actual build), regardless of accessibility, IF YOU HAVE THE HIGHEST SCORING BUILD FOR THAT NON-HUMAN. This episode/contest is open to all players of Factions, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the episode has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win XP or prizes; the EB admins and moderators, who are not eligible to win prizes but may earn XP; and the episode host, who is not eligible to win prizes but may earn XP. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to the start date of this episode. You can use creations for this contest in other forums or contests, but it should not have been displayed before the start date for this contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. No third-party molds may be used for the subject non-human. Post pictures no larger than 1024x768, as specified in the EB Member Guidelines. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on ANY picture. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited,. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: You will receive XP equal to the number of points you are awarded from the judges. Your faction will receive IP on your non-human's home planet if you have the highest scoring build for that non-human. If more than one person builds a Quarren, only the best build will get the IP. If there is a tie, both builders will get IP. Your faction will not receive IP on the planet you are building. If you earn IP for a non-human from a planet containing a Holocron, you will be told at the end of the contest of the Holocron's presence on that planet, regardless of how much IP you receive on that planet.
  24. Thank you. You’re right. It’s just under 96 studs to from Obi Wan to Lars. I built the homestead because I wanted to try the dome with some balloon pieces, then just kept building the sand for the heck of it. It was kind of funny for a while to have a 96x112 stud build that was mostly sand. Then we got the UCS Falcon and it fit just right. I think some of customers have posted pics of it on Google. Look up Rogue Brick Builders’ Lounge in Fort Worth, TX
