Problems with baseplate and tiles
mrfuture replied to mrfuture's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Between the replacement i edit the mosaic and then put the plates back. Is it oK that i send you the file on PM in our forum.? Dont wanr it to be public just yet.. -
I have a type of tiles mosaic buildt on a 48x48 But now moved it onto a bigger solution with 4 32x32 plates in square form. In LDD The moving of the mosaic went well. Since i planned to make it bigger i neede to spit mosaic up. I removed the baseplaes to make it easier to do the box select. But when i try to move the baseplates back, it is no longer an option to put it under the tiles again. I tried the other way around but same happends.(moved mosaic, put the baseplate back in position and tried to put mosac on top of it.) Have other seen this or have a solution ?

I like good old spaceman, may be since it is the first space Lego i had in my childhood. This review also answered a comment that i got on an event that some had stickers, I did not know since all mine was printed. Also the mobile tracking station set. May be it was the first batch?

I voted No. I think the pure Lego Themes should be without guns, But in Licenced themes like Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribian it is OK. That is based on movies. Remove guns from it maks no sence to the movie story. There is to much violence else where in the word.

Missing old part in LDD?
mrfuture replied to mrfuture's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I did not see the wanted list of bricks for LDD thread. It was one of the wanted so that's may be why nobody answered. So case closed. -
I have been looking for the old Windscreen 4 x 4 x 2 Canopy Extender in LDD but have not found it. Even if I type the partnr 2337 or part of the name it does not appear. Has It been exclude for some reason or has it just not been added. Have checked both modes. Many other part from the same time has been added.

I think i was realy clear in my dirrection without go to the basic to where and how to find. If you try what i and other wrote then you may find it. Here is the direct link to the official sets http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226 but you need to know how to search with your browser and witch set you want to download. If not it could be a inpossible job to find the set you want.

Here is what i did for a car. I was looking at the set pictures at Brickset.com. I found a car that was some what something like what i want. For exmaple a car with a lift is something simular to a lorry or flattbed car if you remove the lift and add a few parts. Then i noted the set nr then searched for it in the Sets created in LDD her on Eurobricks. Downloaded the file and loadet into LDD. And start to remove and add new parts /change color to it looks what you want. In another case I did the same but in the end i ended to redesign the whole car. But then you get a idea of what parts is used for a standard Lego car. After this you can do as i earlier wrote.

I buildt the Parisian resurant over the weekend and got the same problem with one of my shells. In the beginning it hold a few seconds but now after few more tries it pops just back open as soon you let it go. I ordered one from Lego on Missing/ broken part. I may put a drop glue on it to keep it closed. I know that is bad but it looks like i have to play Lord Bussines her.

i had a simular experiense when i was younger. I'm now over 40. But loved Lego in my youth. My father at one point told me that i was to old and may give away the Lego collection. I put it away and was the start of my some what dark age. But the Lego was never given away. A few years back i was back into Lego. Recntly i discovered the whole truth about that comment from my father. He thinked that I needed more interest in other things beside Lego. I was a bit worrid that when he found out now that i was back into Lego, that he stil had that oppinion. But i was wrong. May be this is the case here, that the parents realy want the child to find other interests beside Lego? But i will say that Lego is bit better hobby than a XBox (having Xbox my self)

Lego Digital Designer (LDD) was like that in the beginning but Lego later closed that part of the program down. I think the is no other alternative at the moment. But you can save a inventory list (BOM list) of the model and use Bricklink to buy the parts you need. Type the list into a wanted list and you have control on what parts you have ordered.

That was a nice Classic space build. A mobile Radar station in a form of an old VW van.

LDraw/MLCad "Models" folder issue
mrfuture replied to L@go's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi again. I did a search on my work computer. I installed MLcad/Ldraw there for some testing earlier and found the MODELS folder under My Documents/Ldraw. Not under Program files/ Ldraw where the main program and parts is. -
What's number one on your list to get 1st August?
mrfuture replied to talos's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Since i going to England this week. I may visit the Lego Shop at Shepherd's Bush again. Have not decided what to get but Exo-Suit is on my list. Mini cooper is also interesting. Have the Camper Van. The new Volvo Technic is also tempting but it is to big to bring back. -
I have nothing but good experience when I have asked for replacement parts. My first was a DOA IR receiver in a Technic set. and after that a few missing parts and discoloured technic parts. All received without any problems. But I have never misused it. Even a question to LDD about a strange problem in the program showed up a week or two back. It was sent a few months back, and I thought it was nothing they could do about it since no answer came. But I was wrong about that.. It was a new problem to them and they needed to figure It out before answer, they told me in the answer.

Early LEGO in Norway, Sweden, Finland
mrfuture replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I try again. Do you know how long the windows and doors from 1955-56 was in use. or simular design? I have a few of those from my childhood, but I was born in 68. They are a bit different. There are "fingers" that goes between the studs in the bottom. They looks simular to those you have in 1955-56.I do not have the Set Part collection. They could be from my father but I do not know if he had any LEGO. May be he was to old when it came. -
The computer I have typing problem with has windows 7 IE 11 and 4 GB ram and 2 Ghz CPU Sithewok. Is this close to what you have ? beside the windows and IE?

Cara, I have also the carriage return problem. But this happen on my work computer and computers at home. The slowdown happends on only one. I want to know the specs of the computers that have the slowdowns. I suspect that there are computers that are just within limit to run Windows 7 that get this problem ?
-
Yes I do run Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7. But I may think as Rollermonkey says that it could relate to the Antivirus or other background running programs. Since now I started to type is message it was OK but just now t have started again. But last time it got better after a while. I just saw my processor usage hit 70 something % But It fall and it got better.
