  1. That would make sense. Thanks!
  2. Fresh new listings, with a confirmed official date of May 25. http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/Ultra-Agents-ByTheme
  3. Is that printed treasure map brand-new for this set? Looks interesting. And that's a good idea you had of putting the squirrel up at the top with one of the flaps open. The Mountain Hut is a bit of an oddity in how they've set the scene. Almost like a campsite tent or lookout point, but not quite so convincing. What do you make of it? As for the treehouse, is the laptop hiding somewhere? ;) I'm sure the purple basket is a permanent fixture, but I almost feel like it could topple over to the lower level if there was structural weakness -- which, now that I think about it, could be a quirky play feature in having Mia care for any pretend injuries, but that'd be just a smidge over the line for a Friends set. Is the flag a printed piece? It's odd that it's not double-sided and the reverse is kept blank. Interesting design choice to keep the rest area at the back rather than separate like the work station (or even attached to it). I'm curious: Do you have an estimate on the US price for the treehouse? I know the Mountain Hut is $10.
  4. Sounds great. And welcome!
  5. haha. Great idea. Very different tone to both.
  6. Thanks for all the pics, Echo.
  7. Hmmm... Maybe they got pushed back. To July, maybe -- whch is when the TMNT movie sets are releasing? The listings are still available on Amazon Canada, so hopefully this isn't an indication that the scheduling has changed for these sets. I wouldn't blame them if they did, though, in light of how many new sets and themes are launching (officially) next month.
  8. Nice. Well, thanks for the interesting tidbit. I'll keep an eye out for this Speedor when it gets discounted.
  9. Echo, are you able to take a few pictures of the two sets?
  10. Thanks for the pics! The Flexers max, for me, is like the Electroids max: don't care much for the individual tribe members (Balk's design especially rubs me the wrong way), but the max looks decent, if not more attractive. Now seeing the Frosticons max in full form, I have to say it's the weakest of the bunch. I see how they've incorporated elements from the individual creatures, but it doesn't come together well -- particularly with the upper body. I do like, however, that Lunk's nose attachments have been used as blades. P.S - Your link needs editing.
  11. Has there been any news on the status of Galaxy Squad? I thought it was in the process of being retired? How much longer before sets fade from shelves?
  12. That really would be more reasonable, especially since it doesn't include a train.
  13. Congrats on your milestone! Interesting looking set, with the taxi and the storefronts. Not for me, though -- the cost is much too high.
  14. Sounds neat. Is it similar to spring-loaded missiles in that respect?
  15. Make that two. ;)
  16. ^ It's a bit hard to tell, but I think the Hurricane Heist set has been priced incorrectly.
  17. That's what I'm hearing, yes, and it's multiple stores that have stock available.
  18. Absolutely. Here in Canada, the standard price is $17.99, which is too much for sparing designs. With maybe one or two exceptions (e.g., Banana Bash), the first wave of 2014 Speedor sets did indeed look lacklustre from a distance -- Stinger Duel is especially off-putting. A few from this second wave look a bit more promising, but I'm still wary over what seems to be dubious play value. As you pointed out, there are some interesting parts to potentially compensate for these faults. It's been a while since I last looked at the Toy Fair photographs, but have any others caught your eye that you're thinking about buying?
  19. Yes, thanks for the pics. I like the look of the set, mainly for the eye-catching parts. Content seems light, but I think that might be a running theme with the new Speedor sets.
  20. They're already showing up in Canada.
  21. Hmm. Not bad! Thanks for sharing.
  22. Wasn't expecting the review to show up tonight, so thank you for that! Personally, I'm still not sold on the set. I do think the value is there, and the minifigs are enticing (excellent, even, in the case of Tremor). But the vehicle... When you were moving it around, the device seemed a little flimsy, even though when you turn the knob it works without any noticeable problems. I think, too, that if the fists moved as the tank was in motion, that would've made for a bit more dimension. Since I'll be holding off on the Ultra Agents sets until June, hopefully other perspectives might help put it in a more compelling light. For now, it's not a must-have. Thanks again for the prompt review. That's an interesting proposition, giving the tank a silver sheen. Would doing so conflict with the colour palette across other vehicles in the line?
  23. @TheBrickHitHouse: Wow. That's quite the haul! I would have trouble deciding where to go first!
  24. Thank you for reviewing these sets. Now I'm intrigued!
  25. Sweet. Keep me posted in the Juniors thread! And if you're planning on doing the Tremor Track Infiltration, that'd be just as great -- it's the only one of the small-/medium-scale I haven't made up my mind on. I'll look out for your Arctic set reviews too, just in case there's a surprise gem. Oh, and did you spot any GotG sets with this batch?
