  1. I did not know about the sword holder. Nice touch for Leo! And yeah, April's torso would look great on other male minifigures if it could work. Nice job with all those comparisons. About the play feature with the Mutagen: I think there's a setup technique you need to be aware of when (before) reloading them into the top of the truck. I think you had the seesaw mechanism raised when you were inserting them, but perhaps it needs to be lowered (enough that a canister will remain in place and not fall out). I believe when I skimmed through Brick Show's review, there wasn't a problem. Thanks for reviewing this one first. Hope the lair turns out well for you!
  2. Oh, then it won't be featured on the site until August. For polybag exclusives that have a timing window attached to them, usually there isn't a second one in its absence until the start of the next month. And as for the space minifigure set, I predict it will be available the same month as the Exo Suit, which at this point I'm guessing will appear in September or October (news may be coming in soon to confirm its release).
  3. Couldn't find it? Here's a link: http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/MINI-Cooper-10242
  4. FYI, the new August calendar makes no mention of the set, so either the date still hasn't been finalized or they'll be pushing it to September (which would make me wonder when the Exo Suit will finally emerge).
  5. So it's confirmed that we're getting the Mini (Mini) Cooper polybag come August in US and Canada. However, the threshold is to spend a minimum of $99, which is excessive if you're not already picking up the Mini Cooper that month.
  6. There will be another unknown exclusive for August, likely what will be revealed mid-July.
  7. Thanks for sharing! Looks like they did a good job with it.
  8. I agree. It would have been a more complete experience to have all four turtles. Given the cost of the set, I don't think that's an unreasonable request.
  9. Congrats on finding it! All I needed to know is whether or not the van was worthwhile, so it's good to know the set's a winner from your point of view. Any plans to review Big Rig Getaway?
  10. Oh wow. Look what's coming next month in France: a Classic Space Figure set (among other goodies)! And for such a small spending minimum, too. Really really hope this comes to US/Canada like the Flashback Shredder figure that we're getting next month.
  11. As would I! Especially if it included a Double Decker Couch. Any chance this (or a variation of it) could happen in a third wave, or would that be unheard of?
  12. You may want to ask here if anyone's seen them around. I don't think I've spotted them in stores or even in TRU's recent flyers, though I haven't been actively looking. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23988
  13. My first thought too. Very menacing.
  14. What are the chances that the new sets will appear in LEGO stores (or elsewhere?) early like the newest wave for The LEGO Movie? Reason I ask is because I realized that we're not far away from seeing these arrive on store shelves, and based on what I just read, there's a possibility they may be releasing early.

    Canadian Eh?

Yeah, the pod was the main reason why I was initially interested in the Knowhere Escape set. And as per the norm with the GotG sets, the minifigures are very appealing. But when I realized it would be $50 here, I decided against it. To me, even with the quirky Rocket minifigure, it's not worth the money. Oh, for anyone interested, this week Toys R Us will have select TMNT sets at 20% off, including at least one of the newer ones. It'll be the first time I'm seeing a set from the newest wave go on sale (albeit I have seen some find the T-Rawket set on clearance at Target, but I'm going to assume that it was in the US, as is most often the case).

    Canadian Eh?

That's great. :) I have yet to pick up any of the sets myself (I'm only interested in Starblaster Showdown and Milano), but I will when the time is right. Considering the price, I won't be picking up the Milano until it goes on sale.

    Canadian Eh?

Have you found the sets yet? The X-Men set was featured in the most recent flyer, so I imagine they're starting to carry them now at TRU.
  18. I'm inclined to agree.
  19. Nice job on this review. For me, the secondary models grab my interest more, but it was nice to learn about some of the techniques that go into the creation of the helicopter and its defining features. I'm curious about those steering wheels, though, as to why they went for a plate in lieu of an actual wheel attachment. Do you know if any other Creator sets do this, perhaps models from years back?
  20. It's good that it was a satisfying choice for you. Any immediate desire to grab HH, or will this keep you occupied for a while?
  21. Interesting! Good to know.
  22. I'm glad you brought this up, actually, because it's a complaint I have with the set also -- it stood out to me as I was going through this review, and you've addressed it in precise terms. The fact that the structure is rendered incomplete, even barren, without the physical temple in place doesn't reflect design of a higher standard, even though the transforming model is an ambitious feat on its own.
  23. There's a lot going on here! Some features catch my eye for sure, and the whole attraction is something kids will love: simulating invasions with both tribes, engaging in battle between turrets and ground troops, not to mention the prospect of exploring new territories with the flying temple. Nice review. You isolated the various contraptions well, and the flow of it was easy to follow. Especially liked seeing the different poses and transformations.
