  1. I was thinking of doing this kind of build and now I have seen someone has already beat me to it. Very nice build. Spider spawner is best.
  2. Nice review. As a AFOML (Adult Fan Of Minecraft LEGO), (I just made that up) it is an excellent set to have with some much needed buildings. I have had to make some modifications to mine but overall I think it is a great set. Thanks for the review.
  3. Wow. Very nice work. The play areas that can be opened up are excellent. Combining play-ability with being true to the original design is tricky business but you have done an excellent job. Time to dig down through the blue brick. :)
  4. There are not that many pictures of LEGO Minecraft MOCs that I have found. I found a couple here and there. One I saw (lost the link) had two levels with the Mine on the bottom. He had a whole surface from memory with buildings on top. I am still working on mine. I have all the Minecraft sets (except for Micro scale) so I am struggling to work out which ones are going to be included. I can upload a pic when I have something to add. I was thinking of doing a 10188 Death Star of open sided mountain at one point.... Anyway I will hunt for that photo I saw. Here is the thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107129&hl=minecraft
  5. I have been waiting for the release date for some time now. My kids and I are very excited about these. Some I can see might not work so well but I am sure the kids will name them all.
  6. Sorry I must have missed that in my sporadic reading of this thread. Chickens are indeed on the list. Witchy Swamp Hut also. The others sound good but are they 'iconic' enough to be done as a LEGO set? Maybe this is last wave?
  7. So what Minecraft sets do we have left for LEGO to do? Village and Fortress are coming. I suppose we have Witch set is yet to do. What else is left?
  8. I am with you guys as well. I like this set and will be buying it. Long live The UCS Hoth Rebel Alliance!
  9. Valid observation. So far the UCS label has been applied by Brickset but nothing in the Press Release mentions it. That sounds more realistic as it sits more with the Ewok Village and Death Star. I think this is just going to be THE Echo Base where they say goodbye to Hoth LEGO sets for a long time and focus on other possible builds in Star Wars.
  10. True true the Ewok Village is around 2000 pieces but isn't classified as UCS as I think it is seen as a play set. The only UCS sets around this piece count are R2-D2 and Slave I so we will have to wait and see how this justifies UCS status.
  11. I likes. I am wondering how this will classify as UCS however. I am still hoping for a play set. The video suggests this as does the range of minifigs and description..... It suggests play so this is a bit of conflict. The 10188 Death Star was a playset and UCS so I suppose this can happen.
  12. Sorry as this related to a rumoured coming set for 2016 I thought I should post it here. Firstpost in he Star Wars sub forum... I will repost it there.
  13. Okay. What is the opinion of the ladies and gentlemen of Eurobricks. Should I wait until just before my birthday (January 9th) to see if 75098 Assault on Hoth shows up in time as a UCS Hoth set? Or spend the birthday LEGO budget on something more tangible that is certain to be released in time? I basically only have Hoth Star Wars LEGO..... and so far am only interested in sets from IV, V and VI (maybe VII if it turns on good). Well should I wait or should I burn the rubles on something else? The budget might be $150 to 200 USD (€100 to €130). Opinions?
  14. I am hoping with the Queen what looks like yellow skin on the torso is not yellow. (I know I am likely doomed) In the world of 'fleshing' Castle minifigs there not that many possible 'Queen/Princess' torsos. It would be nice if LEGO did a Queen/Princess torso with no yellow skin visible.....
  15. Well I am hanging out for some new castle minifigs. Allthough in theory I already have too many....... (slap myself in the face) There is no such thing as too many minifigs!
  16. Well I have played Minecraft a little but thought this set looked cool. So it will be waiting for me under the tree on Christmas Day and I can say I am looking forward to it. :)
  17. That is indeed some serious haul.
  18. I am with Gabe on that one. I have done one Free Build so far and have not even had time to read what the challenges are, let alone build something for one, so I tip my hat to you sir.
  19. This is one epic piece of work. When is the next instalment?
  20. Very nice, especially for your first MOC. I like the red roofing and the balcony in particular. I couldn't see the other photos as the dropbox link does seem to work for me. Nice work from what I can see.
  21. Thanks. My vegetation supply is woefully low but I will look into it. Thanks for the tip.
  22. Thanks. It is big but to get my meaty fists inside to use the interior it had to be a 16X16 stud minimum. Glad you like it.
  23. Thanks. I think I have a problem with not doing interiors.... Everything I build has to have a functioning interior.... It makes things a bit tricky I suppose. My daughter also loves opening the panels and playing with the minifies (sleeping, cooking, going through secret doors etc). So it is fun.
