  1. All I have seen is this on Youtube that shows the Lumia Werewolf: Which commercial shows a tree set and carriage set? Can I get a link?
  2. My 1HY 2018 catalogue (online) does not show the sets you are talking about Where are you guys seeing these later sets? Can i get a link? Or have a missed a page on the new catalogue?
  3. Nice work on set collection. I only just started looking at the Elves theme properly 2 months ago. Now I have a very expensive long Bricklink Wanted List.... :) I can’t believe I missed how cool this theme is. In Sweden I know I can get sets on 1st of March, which I believe is when Sweden will be getting shipments. It takes a couple of months to drive them from our neighbour Denmark. ;)
  4. We are still waiting in Europe for the 2018 sets as well so you are not alone. I am going to have to fight it out with my two daughters to get hold of Noctura. :)
  5. Cheers, I will take look.
  6. Thanks for that. One set of episodes from 2017 did seem odd. I am almost through all the Mini Movies. I have to say that finding all of them is not easy and I think that whoever is doing the job of overseeing the theme in terms of continuity, access to media, creative direction and marketing needs to centralise the content and make things easier to find. The animation has certainly improved with the Netflix series. Improved a lot. I agree with you muddyknees. It feels like the Elves theme is lacking in a unified marketed approach and lacks somewhat in creative control. The sets are excellent, the back story is fine and the newer animation is top quality but I think things need to be better organised. Maybe someone should do a DK book to document the Theme? I agree that the varied approach to how they have made the back story available (Netflix, lego.com animation series, mini-dollish webisodes etc) can be to try to appeal to different groups and try different styles but I still think it should be centrally discovered at lego.com/elves. I am a fan of the Netflix animation by a long way but I can see that this would conflict if they ever made a LEGO Elves movie (which I think would be epic). The webisodes I have not done yet. I have seen a few listed on lego.com but they seem to be only certain numbers. Where can I see a complete list of the webisodes?
  7. As I have only really noticed this Theme in the last couple of weeks I am behind in sets... Now that I have actually taken a look at Elves I have seen there is wonderful sets with great design, techniques, parts and colours. So far Ragana’s Castle is the ‘pride of the fleet’ however I am looking forwards to a delivery of Crystal Mine and Rosalyn’s Hideout. :) Goblin village is also filled with character.
  8. Does anyone know where the complete back story so far is for Elves? I am interested in being able to ‘join the dots’ on how all the sets hang together in Elvendale. I have watch almost all of the Episodes (8) for the TV show but there feels like gaps missing. Like where is Ragana and Nocturna in this story so far....?
  9. Brickset said that this wave was due to be released March 2018, which I thought was odd. On the US LEGO site they say Jan 1st, so Europe would be sometime after that, not March however. Jangbricks has done the Polar Igloo set as well.
  10. The clearer pics at Brickset make all the difference. When the blurry pics were about I was not so thrilled about the newer sets but the clear images show as mentioned above already: - new furnace part - baby mobs - melons - banners in better detail - Polar bears and bunnies clearer Also there appears to be more sets at a lower price point, which is always welcome.
  11. Now I am up to speed. Chickens and Igloo are nice. Villager in small set is sweet as well.
  12. I know I am naughty but I cannot find these images at Reddit. So maybe I am a naughty LEGO Minecraft fan that can't search.... Either way I am itching bad to see clear pictures of the sets.....
  13. Well Crafting Box and Ocean Monument released. Got the Crafting set for Horsey and some other pieces. It is fine, nothing exciting. The Ocean Monument is going to be a hard purchase to make to keep my completist agenda on track. It looks boring quite frankly. Montain Cave is built and it is glorious and BIG. Working on using the Map Tile from that set as an actual map for my Minecraft world. Just ordered some blue baseplates. :) As a side point, has this been the final wave?
  14. It is a big journey. I am planning the build after a bit of summer madness has calmed down as well.
  15. Mountain Cave home but not built yet, and now we still have Crafting Box 2.0 (highlight new horsie) and Ocean Monument. I agree with the Ocean Monument however. Not too exciting there. Maube wait fir a sale for that one. Always love a Crafting box. :)
  16. Yum, yum, yum. Lots of play features, clever re-use of light brick with the lava, thought that would happen. Lift actually happened as well which is a cool surprise. Expensive yes but huge. :) Going back to the pictures on Brickset to dribble and drool some more until June 15th.......
  17. OK I see. Well I haven't encountered that level of dislike for Minecraft theme so far. There is plenty of love for Minecraft LEGO it seems as it has done a number of waves now and must have sold well for big sets like The Village otherwise 21137 would not have been made. We are not alone in our lust for Minecrafty LEGOness. :)
  18. Sounds like there was a little misunderstanding that was all. The Ocean Monument would make a good jungle temple for another theme. So if it gets used by someone I am all for it. As a Minecraft set it is just a little too niche and basic looking. So MOCing it into another theme is a good idea.
  19. Yeah the Ocean Monument is probably a hard set to do as it is a faily unexciting/odd location to start with. Either way the set will have to be hugely discounted for me to consider getting it.
  20. Same here. What about the other 2 sets for the summer wave?: - 21135: The Crafting Box 2.0 - 21136: The Ocean Monument I own all the minifig scale Minecraft sets so far so 21135 and 21137 are for sure but the Ocean Monument might have to be first exception. I think I would just brick link the Enchanted items and Potion Bottles. I just can't see that fitting into a diorama anywhere.....
  21. I think that 2x2 foot section belongs to the 21127 Mountain Cave. :)
  22. Yeah it has gone all quiet....
  23. If I use the dining table I will cover 5X3 baseplates (32x32 ) so it is 130cmx80cm. I am planning on getting a Minecraft dedicated table of around these dimensions but I will be interested to see how much of a footprint this 3.3kg of bricks called set 21137 is going to be.
  24. I have MOCed The Village set into a four base-plate sized arrangement for 'home base' then I am grouping Alex Jungle House, The Witch Hut and Jungle Temple together into another 4 base-plate configuration. This leaves Ice Spikes and The End Portal to be worked into the Mountain Cave 'block' of sets, for a snow connection. I have got all the Minecraft sets but not all fit together in work-able groups. However D2C will likely provide a core of 'home base' and 'mine' location from which to MOC/build out so maybe our strategies are not that different. This set will be a key one.
  25. Yeah I am working on a bigger table for my Minecraft layout. I am sort of hoping for no new sets for a while. I will skip the Ocean Monument. So hopefully nothing until Christmas. A new bigger table is needed however... especially after this Mountain Cave set....
