  1. No one but myself touches my lego sets. I just dont trust anyone around it.
  2. After several months of having mine I must admit that among all the modular buildings that Lego made, this one is the best. Not only does it have great detail on the inside of the several floors the details on the outside is what sells this set and stands out. There is so much going on in the front and the back of the building which is just great. I put the thanksgiving polybag set in the back of the building as a secluded dinning area and it looks great.
  3. For a newbie I would suggest first looking at other moc that people have built or use Lego modular buildings as a reference. You should also start off with a straight building as corner buildings are a little more complex in terms of getting the angles for the front doors. As a rule for a beginner i would suggest on focusing on the front of the building only as its the side that is mostly visible. If you are making a three storey building i would do what Lego does, for example, making the third level a replica of the second level as in the Town Hall until you become more familiar with the modular design. Using that as a guide for your next building you can attempt different and more elaborate and intricate design techniques.
  4. Very lovely moc.
  5. No all online purchases are taxable.
  6. The exterior of the sandcrawler looks great but the interior leaves much to be desired. From the pics The entire middle section appears to be devoted to the crane without and room for anything else and the back interior just have the mechanics for the wheel steering and a few bins to put the droids where as in the older model the interior looked much bigger and there was also a jawa droid repair room.
  7. I like the rugged look and the steps.
  8. Impressive and huge moc.
  9. Nice moc. I like how you made the logs.
  10. I love the viking`s theme and am sad that i missed out on it. I was lucky to snag the viking ship on ebay for a reasonable price but I still want more, like a mountain top fortress, a cave hideout and even a fishing village complete with huts, a small animal farm and a fishing boat.

How did you get the arms to stick?
  12. If you look at the sticker on the control panel in the cockpit it is an image of the homestead so we could possibly get it too. I am just so glad that its a minifigure scale sandcrawler than a USC so that i can use it in my diaroma. The plates works great because it gives it that rugger weathered look.
  13. I usually set myself a budget, for example, I divide the money I earn into savings and lego funds. I then set a goal lets say for instance, I must save $1000 first which goes into the savings then whatever cash is earned after is used to purchase whatever sets I want then start back saving again to that specific savings goal followed by the funds for spending and so on and so on in a cycle. As for lego spending funds i usually limit myself to $300 each time and will be willing to go to $400 for the max especially if a set is very expensive but never above the $400. Now since im making my own modular buildings my lego spending budget had to be divided in half with one half for lego sets and the other for bricks for my mocs. To me this way helps to prevent my spending on lego form getting out of control and landing myself in a situation where im spending more money on lego than savings. As always space is also a factor as well. But I found the soultion to it. I packed up the sets that I am no longer interested in displaying in boxes to make room for the new ones until i can get a really big house with one huge room for my lego sets. I also do the same. For christmas i will buy my niece and nephew lego sets when I know they are not really into it and then after a few days they will tell me to keep the sets for them and eventually they would say i could keep it .
  14. This arctic theme would of been better suited for the winter wave rather than the summer wave of sets although I do think ti will still sell well.
  15. The statue is brilliant.
  16. The mammoth walker looks like it can either transform into another vehicle or a vehicle can detach from it. The detached vehicle looks kind of like the twin bike in flight mode from the picture.
  17. the dark bluish grey ones were running around $4 each so I also went for the dark grey ones too. I cant wait to get them to see how close in colour they are.
  18. I bricklinked the frogs and parrots this weekend which are the final pieces i need for my cafe corner.
  19. Wow I am glad they made them in adult sizes. I am getting one for sure.
  20. Ordered bricks for my hospital building.
  21. I attempted to do this via bricklink but the cost ran over $150 .
  22. Now why couldnt they just give bart and marge eyes focusing straight instead of to the side.
  23. Didn`t see that , but I am glad its a USC because I was hoping for a minifigure scale one. At least my wallet won`t be lighter.
  24. I am interested in what the lion will look like.
