  1. I must say after seeing better pictures of the sets especially the castle I think it could of been better. It looks too simplistic and almost similar to the kingdoms castle. A major let down indeed. The dragons mountain however looks absolutely brilliant.
  2. Although it is true to the movie version I personally think those white lines makes this superman look quite odd and there is nothing special with the car either. This will be a pass for me.
  3. Is that a new mold for the hull of the police boat? I dont notice the bulge on the sides of the hull.
  4. I think its impossible for the barge to be similar in size to the skiff ..........I think its just the scale from how the animation was shot that gives that impression. If you look at the part where the door opens to reveal jabba it is quite easily to tell that the door is about half the length of the skiff.
  5. I was hoping for a warehouse though with a forklift and several containers that could be placed at an airport. Maybe the containers could of have lego boxes in them to be delivered to kids all over the world like in the Toys R Us truck. In fact i do think a big hanger is missing in the cargo plane set where you can put the plane to do repairs and stuff.
  6. Wow that is great , but what does the green pieces in the bowl suppose to represent?
  7. Very nice I also need to start building houses for my city. Great inspirational build for me.
  8. The new barge looks great and I assume it is more sturdy than the previous one. However although I do understand the need to improve on models when doing re-makes, I don't see the need to change the front of the barge to those plates. There was nothing wrong with the first one`s front section and that should of been kept. That it the main reason why this set is drawing so much criticism. Like the saying ''if it aint broke then it don`t need fixing''.
  9. Did you take pics so that we can see if your opinion is right about the sets? From what i have seen so far online they look great. Will need better, larger pictures though.
  10. That ship does not look too appealing.
  11. I went on a binge today : 76004 Spider-Man : Spider-Cycle 79101 Shredder's Dragon Bike 79100 Kraang Lab Escape 79103 Turtle Lair Attack 31009 Small Cottage 60008 Museum Break-in 40051 Valentine’s Day Heart Box 76000 Arctic Batman vs. Mr. Freeze 16 Minifigures Series 9 and some pick-a-brick stuff
  12. If Lego do decide to make a jedi temple it would or should be on the scale of the Death Star to give it some form of justice. Is it possible that a set of this nature can be revealed this summer since we are missing a large exclusive set.
  13. My first thoughts about the different coloured minifigures was that it could of been a mistake in the printing process, but it`s not the case. Others who have this set have the same experience. I could only assume that they are higher officers.
  14. Thanks I wasnt quite sure myself where to post this.
  15. I love that particular blue on the minifigures.
  16. This is my first review on this site . After being a member for so many yeard i decided that it was time to do a review like the others and thought why not do one that is unique. On a set no one has reviewed yet. This is a review of my Jubilux Cruiser navy warship. I have always wanted a Lego warship, but Lego will never make one , so I decided to begin my search. I was familiar with the Ban bao navy ship series, but after much research i found out that ban bao bricks are not compatible with Lego bricks. I came across a blog that had pictures of a navy ship I never saw before and after inquiring I was told that they were fully compatible with Lego. However obtaining this set proved difficult since there was no store online that sold them not even ebay. While checking the A2Z store I was quite surprised to find it listed so I immediately purchased it. It cost $89.99, but shipping is quite high. Shipping costs is $43 bringing the final cost to about $134, Despite this, its a relatively cheap price for what you get Now on to the review. This ship shocked me by the shear size of it, over 3 1/2 feet in length and if the size of the box is any indication it is a huge set. The box is the same length as the London Tower bridge. P1320867 by legokermie, on Flickr The box is quite nicely designed on the front which is what made the set appeal to me in the first place. P1320870 by legokermie, on Flickr The back of the box and the sides show the functions, playability and accessories of the ship. P1320871 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320875 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320876 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320877 by legokermie, on Flickr Inside the box are two other boxes or trays that contain the bricks. It must be noted that there are a lot of window pieces that each came individually sealed in plastic bags. The picture only shows the boxes half full as I had to empty some bags on the floor. P1320878 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320881 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320882 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320883 by legokermie, on Flickr There are several large molds and pieces. There are four large plates and several large pieces that make up the hull of the vessel. The hull is not one entire piece and its Not held together by pins. bricks are used on the inside and underneath the hull pieces to hold them together and they are firmly and strongly held in place. However you need to be careful to make sure that the surface that you build the ship cover it entirely and is flat because it will sag during the building process if the building surface only covers a portion of the ship. P1320884 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320886 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320887 by legokermie, on Flickr This one of the large plates. As you can see the underside of the plate pieces are different from Lego pieces but it doesnt affect its ability to stick to Lego bricks. P1320888 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320889 by legokermie, on Flickr These black pieces form the bottom of the ship. P1320890 by legokermie, on Flickr During the building process you will notice that the entire middle section of the ship is hollow and is covered by the large plate pieces. P1320892 by legokermie, on Flickr This brings me to the only flaw of this set. there is a lot of empty inner space in the ship which is sealed, that is, its not modular. The hull is covered , there is space to fit planes, jeeps and even tanks. The command center is similar as well. there are three floors of the command center with the first floor having computers and chairs, the second floor a steering wheel and chairs and the top more desks and chairs. But access to them although can be done, is impossible without ripping off sections of the command center stuck to other levels. I plan on modding this and doing an update on the improvements, mainly fitting a crane so that i can put my tanks inside the hull. P1320896 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320897 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320916 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320918 by legokermie, on Flickr This top level is on a turn table so that it can be turned in a 360 degree direction. P1320919 by legokermie, on Flickr The vessel comes equipped with two cannon mounts, each different. However the second and only flaw is that the cannon pieces are one large plastic piece. I would of rather it been brick built. P1320912 by legokermie, on Flickr each turret can more 360 degrees and each cannon can move up and down independently. P1320913 by legokermie, on Flickr These are the two missiles with opening hatch. P1320914 by legokermie, on Flickr There are also two life boats one on either side and they are the same as the life boats you get in Lego sets. P1320910 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320948 by legokermie, on Flickr Behind the commander center are the radar and satellite sections. P1320921 by legokermie, on Flickr The ship also has two anchors on both sides of the front and can be lowered via a black string, the same concept as used in Lego sets. The while cone pieces with the red studs on top and on either sides of the ship on both the front and back with the front having 8 on either side and 16 each on each side in the back. I have no clue what they are suppose to be , but i assume they could be depth charges for submarine attacks. And yes this set has no stickers. Only printed pieces. P1320930 by legokermie, on Flickr Another surprise to this set is that the back of the ship has a small helicopter landing platform and it includes a helicopter. The helicopter is small and not much to talk about, but the built is quite nice and it looks the part. P1320924 by legokermie, on Flickr This is what the underside of the ship looks like. P1320928 by legokermie, on Flickr Now on to the minifigures. The set comes with a total of 12 minifigures. However the strange thing is that out of the 12 figures, 4 have a tan colour. I have no idea why they couldnt put them in the yellow colour as the other because they stand out from the rest. It should be noted that the box picture is deceiving. Although they may look like Lego minifigures, they are in fact different. they don't have the usual head with a stud on top , but a hole, and the leg connections are different. the back of the legs are also different for the pics. Despite this the quality of the minifigures are almost the same as their Lego counterparts. I do plan on replacing these with Lego minifigures from bricklink. P1320936 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320938 by legokermie, on Flickr These are the only two that come with life jackets and helmets. One operates the helicopter and the other the life boats. P1320940 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320942 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320944 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320945 by legokermie, on Flickr The minifigures come with weapons as well. P1320903 by legokermie, on Flickr P1320904 by legokermie, on Flickr The set. P1320908 by legokermie, on Flickr My thoughts. This set is a must for any Lego or building fan primarily for three reasons. One : Lego will not produce a warship given their stance on military sets. Two : this set is packed with playability and functions and it looks like the real thing. Three : its huge. Being over 3 feet long its a bargain for the asking price. If Lego was to produce a ship this size it would end up costing almost $300. As for clutch power its very much up there with Lego brands and if your wondering who makes the bricks, well , the same company that makes the Kreo bran. The bricks have the same trademark notch in the one stud that is typical on Kreo bricks. The minifigures although not as great in my opinion, are still welcomed. After all I bought this set for the ship and not the minifigures. I do wish they could of made the sections modular so that you can lift them off and play inside, but that can always be fixed. All you need to do is just get some tile pieces to line the edges of each section and it will be perfect. I wasn't expecting the ship to be this ship to be so large , but in the end it makes me feel like I got more than my money`s wort. If you are interested in purchasing this set here is the website : http://www.a2ztoysto...id_product=1751 . Be warned though that it ships from Hong Kong so it will take at least 2 months to arrive.
  17. Yes Kreo bricks are compatible with Lego but you may notice difference in the clutch power of the Kreo bricks. The stud pieces in Kreo appear to be a lot harder to stick on to other studs or bricks from my experience. Others may not have this problem though.
  18. I also have the same problem with my GE . For the past two years I have put a small heavy ornament on the edge and yet it still lifts upwards when I remove the ornament. I dont suggest bending it as mentioned earlier as that can cause cracks or fractures in the plate.
  19. As mentioned already light would be a bigger problem than dust as dust doesnt damage bricks. I use a simple curtain in my rooms that allows at least some light in. My biggest problem is space and dust which is something we all have to live with.
  20. Now that is impressive and would go nicely with the kingdoms joust set it will definitely get my support.
  21. It would be necessary to have beams running across the top of the room for the garage door system to work to allow them to slide up and down which would prevent hands from being able to play inside the room.
  22. There is a point to saying what the building doesnt have . It is missing a chandelier on the bottom floor which would of added to the entire movie ambiance feeling and plus if the ticket booth was on the outside under the sign it would left more room in the interior of the bottom floor.
  23. The interior just looks too small and cramped and what about bathrooms for the customers. I think the building is lacking a third floor with the second floor having no windows and the third floor having windows. The exterior walls of the second floor which would be the cinema could of have statues to make up for no windows. Given that the monsters fighters haunted house used stickers i doubt the posters in this set would have printed pieces , infact the picture on the movie screen looks like a sticker as you can clearly see the edges of the sticker.
  24. I will be building my London Tower Bridge that I bought. I plan on separating out the pieces on the saturday before christmas and then building the bridge over the next three days. Oh yes and I forgot waiting up on Thursday the 20th to see all the idiots on the news that believe in that Mayan end of the world prophecy.
  25. Stayed up till midnight yesterday for the lego sale. Using all my VIP points as well i managed to snag the London Tower Bridge and the Red Cargo Train Sets including the free holiday set.
