The rancor pit seems to be designed to fit under the palace but the problem is that it will fit under under Jabbas room . The tower part wont fit since Jabbas palace is too wide.

OMFG a rancor pit set OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! ..........With it being revealed this early may be it will be an exclusive set similar to the endor set in terms of pieces and mini figures and be available for christmas of this year. Finally Lego is listening to their fans and my bank account.

I was also having problems with my pick-a-brick order. It has been a month since I got an email stating that it was shipped but haven`t received anything as yet so I called customer service today. The very nice lady said that the pic-a-brick items are coming from Europe, namely Poland, and are being held up in customs. She said that lego is fully aware of the situation and are working expeditiously to try and resolve the situation as quickly as possible. She also apologized for the inconvenience.

After looking at the high resolution pics I the cockpit looks rather good in the model and although a bit pricey it is a must have. People must remember that lego designers must work within a budget aka working within a set or limited number of pieces to produce a model. So therefore it is quite an achievement to produce such a stunning ship given these limitations. Adding more pieces to make it look realistic would of driven up the price more and therefore affect sales. After all people its star wars so its meant to be a bit pricey. I still do think the support stand should of been made differently to allow the ship to stand or just support the large wing so that it doesn`t slope down to the floor. Most USC ships in the past didn`t include minifiguers, so why should one. And honestly ask yourselves would including a minifigure really make the set any different. Now that I have see those better pictures I cant believe and HATE that they included a sticker namely that huge orange dot , I hope its a printed piece by my jedi powers tells me no.

Like everyone else i wish the cockpit was brick built because it doesn`t look like it fits in with the rest of the model , but that is what mocing is for. Overall it is a good set and will get it after i get the R2D2 ,BUT, one thing I wish that could of been done better is the display stand. I would of been completely sold if the stand was made in such a way that the B-wing could of been displayed standing totally vertical instead of sideways with the wing not totally horizontal. That is my biggest gripe with this set , but will still get it nevertheless.

You could be right with Ninjago being discontinued at the end of the year this series never had a VERY big exclusive set before. But I am still hoping for that Ewok Village though.
-
I think it would be the B-Wing that will be announced tomorrow because it makes sense to unveil maybe a super hero set at comic con. I wonder if an Ewok village could be on the horizon tomorrow?

LEGO VIP Program Point Problems
kermit replied to Capt. Thomas Foolery's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have a similar problem but it is with a Lego Gift Card. I got the card earlier this year and used it, but when i tired to reload it I would get the message that the card number is invalid. -
With all those wires it would essentially negate any possible playability with the set. There are better options around that would be so obvious and could blend in nicely with the bricks. Why don`t you start off first with some simple lighted bricks.

Just wait for it to come out in the states.

This is not meant for discussion I was expressing my opinion not telling people what to do I am well aware of the guidelines.

Im not the only one who commented about being fed up with the copying argument going on so don`t use me as a scapegoat. I was like you said ''discussing any and all aspects of the Haunted House''
-
For christ`s sake would you people please just discuss the set and not this copying business. If you want to do that create a separate thread. Maybe the moderator should close down this thread if this copying nonsense continues instead of focusing on the set. Now on to matters at hand. I wished the front gate was connected to the building.

This set is totally AWESOME, but I would of rather it to be in a modular style instead of opening up in half. Of course that can be fixed with a moc. How many of you rather it in thins style as oppose to a modular style where the floor levels can be lifted off. The only gripe about it is that if I place it in my city its going to difficult to play inside if it opens up like that. Another thing, those customizable stickers mentioned, I wonder if they are like those static cling stickers because that would be great (most people put static cling pictures on their windows for halloween).

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
kermit replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lego was my favorite toy when I was a little kid. I built and played with them every single day till 2002 when i started college and decided to focus on my studies. I was at the point of view that I needed to be adult, a grown-up, and gave away all my lego set. I have quite a bit of vintage sets. If you are wondering, I was at ease with giving away my sets, because I expected to be busy in my new field of geography. I told myself I wouldn`t have time for lego again. But in 2009 life became boring and then I saw the Imperial Flagship. Pirates was my favorite theme when I was growing up. I picked up the set and never looked back. Now I have over one hundred sets from various themes and unfortunately running out of space. But apart from that I glad that I found my one true love, LEGO, because now I can dream again. p.s. the first ever lego set i got was a huge restaurant, yes love at first sight. Maybe we should start a thread about what our first lego set was. -
Thanks for the pics , but Im really not impressed by this set at all. Maybe my expectations were more, however it is just too cramped and small and could of feature a little more details in the interior. The asking price of it is a little too much for what you get. Compared to Jabbas Palace it is definitely lacking in details and that ''IT'' factor.

It is just not wort the $14 .
-
Since star wars has become more of a hot item for its minifigures than the sets lately (take this summers wave for example) , a set like that would be rather expensive. Also if they go this route what incentive will there be to buy sets if we can get most of figures in a chess set.
-
Don`t just gt one get two or three because its a great deal for the price and truly a gift from lego.
-
Nice set and you get more stuff than in the city camper. In fact i would say its better than the city camper given all the utensils and the bicycles.
-
The baseplate from the video looks like a soft flexy plastic. I wish it had holes underneath so that it can stick to a flat baseplate.
-
The brick show did a review on the set. Here is the link .As i suspected the green base plate is not glued to the plastic mold it fits in it. Plus the figures are not the bad quality ones, unfortunately the case that is stated in the description on the lego site is misleading. The case is actually the box itself and not a separate item. This is a great army builder and I will be getting another one soon.
-
Anyone can get the parts on brick link and make a phoney signature with a black sharpie and pass it off. I wonder who would buy that for that price when its just as easy to make it yourself for a lot cheaper. Further more does he have proof like a video showing that it actually came from the fair?
-
You did an excellent job absolutely love it.

After giving this set several more thoughts I think it would of been better if Lego had included horses (black and white ones respectively with the while being the lion knights and the black the dragon knights) for the knight pieces and wizards for the bishops. The minifigures should of also came with the new swords that you get in the Lord of the Rings sets instead of the old ones which look too unrealistic. And also it appears that the board is a 32x232 green baseplate, which makes me wonder if it is glued to the plastic mold frame. That would be a big disappointment.
