  1. Saturday is my birthday may 19th so today with my birthday money I got : 10223 Kingdoms Joust (can`t wait to get my hands on this been waiting a while to get it) 853373 LEGO® Kingdoms Chess Set (I am very anxious about getting this to build my army) 3859 HEROICA™ Caverns of Nathuz (which was on sale and my first herocia set) 8831 LEGO® Minifigures, Series 7 (two to go with my seven purchased last week) 10193 Medieval Market Village (got this one from target with the others above from lego shop at home and my second of this set) Also got my free exclusive Hulk minifigure with my lego order.
  2. Apart from that it would of been nice to get some of the other helmets than all archer ones and at least we know the dragon knights don't have a king.
  3. Very nice moc and I never thought about putting a fish in the bear`s mouth yet alone anything. Thanks for the great idea.
  4. I hope its not glued , but since its a building set there wouldn`t be much to build if the figures are glued. Then again why would they glue it in the first place?
  5. Two words to describe this : OMG.........EPIC. I was just about to get some lion knights for my castle on bricklink . This will definitely be bought mostly if not only as a battle pack. With the cheapest asking price on bricklink being $3 USD, that comes up to $84. Where as with this set its only $50 USD and that does not include the base plate, weapons and small plates. Someone previously asked if the minifigures will be glued, why is that? and have previous chess sets came with glued minifigures? I wonder if that base plate has studs below to allow it to stick to a large flat base plate? I also will definitely be mocking this by building a castle on the base plate.
  6. Here is a MOD of an attack on the city of atlantis deep below the blue ocean sea. The story begins with one of our adventurers being held captured by the sea king, as our heroes mount an attack to free their friend and conquer the city of atlantis : P1180117 by legokermie, on Flickr The submarine is carrying one of our heroes as it tries to dislodge the pillar holding up the entrance to the city : P1180118 by legokermie, on Flickr In order to put the submarine within the scene and make it appear to be floating, I achieved this effect by holding up the submarine on a pillar. I made a broken pillar (that was not included in the set) and attached the submarine to it via technic pieces : P1180121 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180122 by legokermie, on Flickr The battle even continues on the roof of the monument as our hero fights with one of the sea people : P1180126 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180127 by legokermie, on Flickr A great white shark swoops down for the kill, ready to strike at our hero on the underwater speeder. the shark was help in place with technic pins and one of those hook pieces. The shark can be rotated a full 360 degrees : P1180125 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180134 by legokermie, on Flickr The shark creature tries to protect one of the treasures of atlantis : P1180119 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180132 by legokermie, on Flickr The guards are ready to defend their king as our brave hero approaches : P1180123 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180130 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180124 by legokermie, on Flickr The king sits on his throne over looking the battle field : P1180129 by legokermie, on Flickr I created the throne using gold and white pieces so that it would look like part of the city : P1180148 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180150 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180151 by legokermie, on Flickr Below I added some bars to make a prison for one of the captured adventurers : P1180140 by legokermie, on Flickr I also used some technic pieces to give the roof a kind of skeleton structure like a fish bone : P1180135 by legokermie, on Flickr Unfortunately kermie couldn`t resist posing with his work of art : P1180144 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180145 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180147 by legokermie, on Flickr Hope you all enjoy my little presentation
  7. That is just incredible and the attention to detail is just bloody brilliant.

  9. The ultra sonic raider is definitely the best out of these sets and a must buy for me. That big vehicle looks so awesome.
  10. Garage??????????? ...did I miss something here? or do you mean the city parking set?
  11. This city hospital is really a big disappointment for me. Firstly I understand Lego`s desire to put a vehicle in every set they make, but this is a case where a Stand alone hospital would of been better. The ambulance included when compared to the stand-alone one that is out looks very mediocre as well as the helicopter. I mean really do we need yet another helicopter. There was one in the forest police theme and the regular police theme. I would of rather the pieces used for these vehicles be used to expand and make bigger the hospital area. For instance all we get is one top floor with a bed and a bottom floor. It should have been on the scale as the hospital in the sponge bob there that came out several years ago in terms of accessories and depth as seen in this link http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19475 . I think Lego really missed out here on giving us a proper hospital, with a operating theater, doctor`s office, emergency room . The two drivers in the set could of been replaced by another doctor which is lacking and a receptionists . Lego could have made the hospital and emphasis on buying the ambulance set to complete the model, which would of given greater influence to get the ambulance set.
  12. In the end its just plastic.
  13. I wish it came with one of those old style fighter pilots.
  14. That emerald green is a sure winner for me and will be picking up this one for sure. I also see a new 6x6 tile piece in the green colour too!
  15. Thanks I was searching for the thread but couldn`t find it.
  16. I saw this in the newspapers today concerning the controversy over the Friends theme. Here is the article below and a link to the article in the newspapers , http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/lego-sit-activists-angry-sexist-line-made-girls-article-1.1062430 I personally do not understand where all the hate for this theme as being sexist comes from. The activists say to include more female figures in regular sets , but by count there are already many female minifigures. One case in point is that I do not see anyone complaining about the female minifigures in the medieval market set, for example, that show lots of breasts.
  17. There are two missiles on the bottom which I forgot to take pictures off because the plane has no landing gears.
  18. This is a moc of one of the SHIELD planes. I used the quinjet as a guide in employing the colour scheme and sleekness of the jet. 19. Great moc but, I just don`t have a good feeling about the tile pattern in the middle of the floor, however good building though.
  20. The Brick Show just did a pre- release review of the desert skiff and they have more of the 2012 sets reviews to come soon. Here is the link :
  21. When the sneak peak to this set showed up in the Town Hall video I was excited but now that we got a closer look Im having second thoughts , namely due to the boxy-looking body and head of R2-D2. I would of rather it have less of those ''play features'' and look more sleeker.
  22. Thank you for merging my post Rick its much easier to follow, now I replaced the corner tiles with a 'L' shaped stud piece and now it fits flush, and not only that it is also mush stable. From taking a closer look I realized the problem was also attributed to much of the weight being towards the front on the roof. I also noticed that each floor was not given much stability in this model. For example in the first floor there were only fout pieces used to stabilize the floor plates. However when one presses sightly on them they do tend to sink from the lack of support. I do think though that should put stud tiles on all four ends like they did with the other modular buildings instead of only two on opposite ends. Other than that it is a fabulous middle and addition to any city. Lets just hope Lego continues this with either a museum/library (the museum being on the bottom and library on top). p.s. thanks for the advice too.
  23. I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with the floors sitting flush in the Town Hall. The most obvious one is the roof where the left back corner seem to be raised and does not sit flush when connected to the third floor (i made sure to build on a flat surface and the plates used for the floor was not warped or bent). In addition to this the second floor appear to be slight off set when its connected to the first floor. Is this due to the new tile two stud piece (only two being used) used on the top of each floor, and the open space by the elevator section? What suggestions or solutions do you have for this?
