  1. Yep, at the very least add a chainmail pattern to the grey areas, as is it looks like a grey t-shirt under there
  2. That's the best excuse to set anything on fire I've ever heard
  3. That capricorn is too cool for school, great addition to anyone's crazy animal menagerie He's a dwarf... that sprays chemicals at his enemies, what's not to get?
  4. The hip/shoulder joints look weak but no one can deny how awesome this looks I like how the head is connected, looks like neck cables
  5. Thanks folks The car is supposed to have a white/blue stripe in some areas, I just added the blue for fun since I'd have to use stickers anyway. Here are some reference pictures: Also, oops, I should replace that 1x2 tile in front of the engine with a 1x2 cheese slope :]
  6. It depends on the printer and material you use. 3D printers like the Objet Connex can print in all sorts of different materials, like rubbery flexible material or very tough rigid material you can use everyday. Others can only print hard stuff like ABS or resin, some use wax I think.
  7. Can't get enough of those amazing machines! This one is from anime movie REDLINE. Check it out of you like destructive racing, Motorcity, and cars that look like naked ladies. -This is pretty damn accurate, very happy with it! -The color is fiery yellow or something. Yellow looks wrong and orange is too orange, I don't think this car is buildable in this proper color, oh well... -No interior yet -The gear on the engine spins freely -Doors open -Yeah, this version shouldn't have the vents, but I like them so feh lol -The two 1x2 tiles behind the front wheels will be slanted at one end to form an angle -I'll work on securing the roof in person if I ever get to build it (Sorry about the crappy render, my good laptop died recently, I'm stuck on the PC with no graphics card :[ )
  8. I'm having a problem with one particular LXF file, the bricks don't show up in Build Mode but I can still move the bricks even though they're invisible. The bricks show up fine in the other modes though.
  9. Hey folks, just wondering, what's the benefit of using Brasso over just using some acetone with a Q-tip? The Brasso method seems pretty messy. Acetone can destroy the plastic but that's only if you're dumb enough to use pure acetone and leave it on for too long (You can use pure acetone but you have to work really fast or it may discolor the plastic, not recommended). It also slightly takes off the shine, but that seems completely irrelevant since you're just going to be putting a decal over it. I've used some Mr Clean scrubbing sponges to remove tampographs before and they have the same effect as the acetone but without the risk of wrecking the plastic, it just takes a little longer. I guess it just depends on the materials available to you at the time, ey?
  10. Sweet! Wish I still had a website to give you some publicity at least, instead you'll have to settle for my eternal gratitude
  11. Did you see the flying pet computer with the mutant cyclops paintjob? Good idea, maybe I'll like this build more if I don't focus so much on accuracy and more on fun
  12. Cool presentation
  13. Hah, that looks like the anime version of Motorcity, thanks for linking that (though I guess it's more accurate to say Motorcity looks like the Disney version of Redline) I love the Motorcity art and car designs, I'm just not all that into this build. I think it's looking pretty accurate but it's missing that magic the cartoons have. Going to take a look at those Redline cars and see what I like, I need more color variety in my builds, other than bley/black lol
  14. That'd be fantastic, thanks! Either eyes would be fine, I think they'd both look good considering how talented you are I only recently started watching the whole series and am now completely obsessed with her (Also, if you're at all interested, I'm also working on an action figure of the Major, here's a work in progress shot)
  15. Hey Sallen , love the work you're doing, always fun to see high quality designs. I'm currently working on a Major Motoko decal (Ghost in the Shell series) but I kinda just feel like asking you to do it Quick note, it looks like there's a very thin line running down the middle of the Batman and Robin torsos, almost like you mirrored the two sides but the middle didn't meet up by like 1 pixel. It probably won't show up when printed, but it's worth noting I think I agree about Robin's eyes, too close together, I think a quick fix would be to move them apart a little and widen the mask as needed so you don't have to redo the whole face
  16. Neat car, only thing that looks kinda wonky is the small windshield.
  17. A WIP is a work in progress, that's why. :]
  18. Neat shape, I think it needs another color in there somewhere though to break up the white. Maybe add another hinge to connect the wings to the body, it looks a little fragile with just one hinge connecting them. ----- If it's a lot of little builds then you could just post them all in one topic. I feel like larger, complicated MOCs, or even just a MOC you want to elaborate on, can get their own topics. I think that's reasonable
  19. It's a LDD WIP, and though I'm pretty happy with it so far but I'm kinda losing interest, so maybe one of you can finish it up :) -It doesn't seat any minifigures because the "glass" is solid, there may be a similarly shaped canopy that will work though. -It's 8 wide so it's minifig scale and about 10 wide at the wheels, it has a nice hourglass shape. -Rear hatch isn't closing all the way, no idea why LDD file: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?midd4ysyz25b6vf Reference:
  20. Nice boat! Looks strong and sleek at the same time.
  21. Squeeeeeeee! I added the brickbuilt version to the first page, along with a bunch of pictures. Changed a few bits from the LDD file, all for the better :)
  22. Some more shots Simple sturdy construction, could replace the two red plates and 1x2 grey in back with a 1x1 brick with stud for a more secure connection to the side panels though. The voltaic core bursting with raw energy The little thing in back can detach for remote controlled recon. How it looks with the big back panels flipped around
  23. Here's what I'm aiming for: I don't mind the purple bits in the lightning, I like purple And if the purple is just clear paint over the light blue, could just wipe it way with some acetone. Those fins were a last minute bit of inspiration, but I think they would work great as cooling fins Just need to add a sticker with some grill detail maybe. I'll try brickbuilding them but I think then they'd look too fat. I'm trying to diversify my ships, so though I'll keep making little ships for my figs I probably won't be making another one with this exact theme Yep, I use little dots of plain white glue. It's holds parts together well (they won't fall apart just by everyday handling) and you can easily peel it off without damaging the parts when you want to take them apart.
  24. I snipped the little clip on the end of the "grip", it was this piece After I snip anything I sand the snipped end a little bit to make it look like the original, I just forgot to do it for that one, oops! As a side note, the little clip works great on its own as a scope mount or rail attachment I could post a pic of it with a fresh version of the piece, but it looks kinda weird with the clip to be honest
  25. Finally finished something and brick-built it. Feels good, especially because I had all the parts needed in the ol' LEGO box so it cost me exactly zero dollars. This is that suave yellow fellow's ride, it has an electrical theme, capable of discharging massively power bolts of electricity that'll fry any other ship's components! They burn away insulation, melt through metal, and turn pilots into crispy chicken. I'll eventually replace the blue fire with blue electricity when I can find it cheap. I apologize for the shameless bikini shot, I promise you I was totally uncomfortable building that figure And a few more angles: Forgot to show all the trans blue/lightblue under the big wedges in back, I'll show a construction shot later. Also: Woo-hoo! SP3 blaster tag! Finally, my life is complete.
