This review gets a +10 for the smexy Mike Rowe reference.

It doesn't look like a costume shop, if you take away the costumes it just looks like any other apartment or office building. But anyway, love the design

My only suggestion is to make Groups in LDD to separate the floors easier, as is it's a huge hassle to see the insides of the buildings. Separate LDD files for the separate floors is a clunky solution Anyway, looks frikkin' cool, amazing what can be done with LEGO!

If you're talking about the micro building contest here: http://toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=5233 They don't take LDD submissions so I can't enter. (I don't want the Town Hall prize anyway lol)

More practice with micro building, I hope Dede doesn't mind! Interestingly enough it takes more bricks to build a 7-wide building than it does to build a larger 8-wide -There's no interior but the space is wide open to add whatever you want! Compare to her full-size build here - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66654

Looks good for what it is. It's a little plain but that's to be expected since it's a correctional institution's graveyard and not a fancy privately owned one. I don't know what the black floor is supposed to be though, asphalt?

People, people! I assure you, our helper-bots aren't homicidal in any way and won't try to usurp your position as head of your household by jamming a screwdriver into your brain! To help soothe the nerves, all our newer models will now come with the option of painting a smiley face on their "faces" :)

Construction Bot is the latest of our helper-bots, designed to handle rough and tumble environments such as construction sites and mining operations. This model's upper-body has been upgraded with heavy-duty components to facilitate and maximize manual labor output. You may also wish to purchase our state-of-the-art Industrial Sonic Pulse Hammer which can be used by either man or bot. Our ISPH is 20% lighter and 15% quieter to operate than the raucous jackhammers of before by replacing the chiseling bit with directed pulsating sonic blasts. Their frequency can be adjusted to pulverize rock or even melt steel! A turret-stand can be purchased to allow the use of your ISPH on walls and ceilings. SAFETY WARNING: Be sure to give Construction Bot regular maintenance, a faulty piston or clogged receiver may lead to catastrophic malfunction!

Micro Modular Hardware Store + Micro 18-Wheeler
Henchmen4Hire replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in LEGO Town
You guys could always use the longer pins and leave a 1-stud gap between the buildings, that would create an alley too. :) You could build around the pins too and disguise them as a trash container. Yeah, I agree about the futuristic appearance, that's what happens when you watch Futurama while building -
B-M-3C, V-ML-1C Different for me anyway, never made one of these before :) -This is the Semi approaching the loading dock in back of the building. -I think the building looks okay, there are displays on the side of the building showcasing the latest models. The colored tiles are ads for sales and stuff. -Rooftop has a bench for employees to take a scenic break And as a bonus, while still keeping the piece count under 300 (296 total), a micro-scale 18-wheeler. It even has space for cargo!

Pretty cool solution -
If they make white bicycles you guys can just get those and dye them whatever color you want (assuming the plastic is receptive to the dye of course)

Retro Space is a beautiful art style and I'd love to see if LEGO can create beautiful sets based on it without sacrificing the aesthetic to add some dumb action feature.
-
Either way, I still want to round things off
-
Yar, I definitely want to change the squared walls
-
I think this thing morphed more into a classy lounge than a seedy bar lol. Oh well, I'll just have to make another bar. Legoman - You can make that if want, I don't like the claustrophobic design.
-
I'll only update the second post from now on :)

UPDATED 2/19 -Fixed the seats, they're symmetrical and easily removable, attached to the floor by one stud. I'm aiming for a destructible environment. -Figures can sit in them even while wearing air tanks/headgear. -Clips on the seats are to hold the customer's weapon/gear -The floor is covered in drains because the owner got tired of mopping up all the blood -The grey studs along the outside wall are connected to the drains -Where the crate is will be a small storage room, the open area next to it will be the stage for all sorts of musical guests :) There will be a small backstage, the opening top-right is the backdoor for the performers. -Stools and a short counter will line the wall opposite the booths -Going to randomize the floor tiles more later, this is all rough draft Current layout: I need to add more curves I think, like our trusty moderator said, booths were looking a little bland. Now going to just blot in the major features and refine stuff after Seats Communication booth by the bar so the bartender can eavesdrop :) Bar itself, the clear studs are shotglasses, missing the counter of course lol Shot of the backwall, fluids spilling from the drains and a storm drain on the side

-Note how I've masterfully blended the "U" and "N" into a stylized spiral galaxy shape. -There are clips/studs in back to attach them to whatever I come up with I wanted to make this bar black/grey/orange because I love the combo, but Tazmaniac beat me to it with his nifty "Dirt" bar. I want to go with purple now but I'll have to start building and see if it'll even be possible... Anyway, I realized I don't know jack about a bar's layout so I'm looking for suggestions :) This one is going to be a run down popular place for the scum of the universe (as if there's any other kind of space bar!). Things I plan to add: -Things on the walls (license plates, chains, skulls, weapon displays, etc) -Jukebox -Strip pole -...more strip poles haha Yeah, should be fun...
-
Probably, just replace the tail spike with a clip :)

Here are two adorable little robots that may or may not have murderous intentions. ------- KB-102 "Little Devil" The newest in a series of compact and portable kill-bots, the KB-102 is affectionately known as "Little Devil" due to its standard dark red color scheme. It has four barrels on each arm capable of firing a wide assortment of cartridge-based ammunition. It's perfect for patrolling hallways to keep enemy soldiers at bay. Once its ammo has run out, the Little Devil can be programmed to lurch towards the enemy and self-destruct as an effective anti-personnel explosive. ------- SB-404 Serve-Bot We here at Nightmare Industries don't just make robots that kill things, we also like to make to make robots that serve us unquestioningly. Forever. Enter the SB-404, our first foray into helper-bots to make every day in your miserable lives slightly less miserable. A sleek and slender design, this is an attractive and unobtrusive model for your home or office. It uses whisper-quiet anti-grav for propulsion so there is no noisy engine rumbling in your environment. Our designers saw fit to "enhance" this model with an ample busom, but non-metal-boobs versions are also available. With your purchase of an SB-404 you also receive a free hat for your new robot to wear proudly. There is a vast number of hand-attachments that can be used with this model (sold separately), all completely interchangeable! A pair of standard graspers are included by default. Of course, should you ever decide you need your SB-404 to not just clean your house, but also "clean house", we have an attachment for that too! (Manufacturer's Note: Some customers have reported dismemberment, death, and other fatal errors in this model's performance when combined with certain attachments. ALWAYS remember to power-down your SB-404 before attaching the egg-beater!)

Thanksss everyone! It'd be nice to see a line of Space Racers from LEGO. Gotta admit, I don't like the actual pink all that much

Cute Little Spider
Henchmen4Hire replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
My spider's dad was an insect! ;) Cool spider, could you send me a link to your topic? I'd like to see how all the legs attach to make mine more accurate. The 6 legs are starting to bug me, especially when compared to the cute scarab from the Pharaoh's Quest set. Here's a nifty idea for an Arachne type character, and an idea to make a bigger spider -

I'm working on another spider that'll be big enough to have 8 legs, will probably put it in the Historic section though I'm glad the hairs are noticeable haha Showing the flexibility:
