  1. Long live the buggy tank!
  2. Move the engine to the back, give it a dumb name, and you've got yourself another obscenely expensive supercar sure to make you the envy of all your friends (as if you need friends, you big sexy rich person). Got bored so here's a quick build. The only thing weird about it is the front wheels obviously. To correct that (move the front tires forward) you need to grind away about half a stud from the round plates on the nose, no other way to get that round nose. The black wedge on the dashboard is a gps screen or radar detector I guess lol. 2014 Vipergini Explosivo by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr 2014 Vipergini Explosivo by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr 2014 Vipergini Explosivo by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr
  3. There's no trick to art, basically you just come up with ideas and try to copy them as best you can. If anything it should be easier to make wrinkles for minifigs considering how stylized the art is. Anyway, first off, draw the design you want, don't just keep it in your head. Just draw the basic shapes of it, no fancy details or wrinkles yet. After you're happy with the major shapes, then you can go back and add details, for wrinkles it seems like the less lines the better. Look at real fabric and drape it the way you want, then look for the major folds and recreate those on the decal. You just need a line, that's it. Or just look at other minifigs with wrinkles and copy them lol.
  4. Here's the response I got from this seller when I asked if they printed on figures. It's pretty much what I expected, an annoyingly high setup cost that makes this suitable for mass producing 1 print, not OOAK figs. For example, if you want to pad print a Superman logo on a chest (you supply the parts), that requires yellow/red/black (3 colors, 1 location), which is $150 for setup. Then each chest print would only cost you $1.50, which is awesome, but that would be $151.50 to print one figure, which sucks. Of course, say you get 10 chest printed, that's $155 for 10 chest prints, so they're like $15.50 a pop. If you get 20, they're only like $8 a pop, etc., great for army building of course.
  5. Hey Vooda, there's a space booger in your ride! No, that's just my co-pilot. Neat shape and decoration
  6. Looks straight out of Futurama, cool. Still, I'd like to see the side of the big yellow cab broken up a little with details
  7. Yep! And despite the zany angles it's still a simple straightforward build (well, I consider flipping hinge plates 180 degrees to build upside-down straightforward anyway lol). There are a few technic bricks/pins in there to help keep it sturdy. The WIPs on my Flickr should help anyone reverse-engineer this flying tank shark thing (but please consider donating! )
  8. Thankssss folksssss! I was spazzing out over how to get them the right size and shape, in the end I just gave up and used the current design and am pretty happy with it lol Unfortunately I'm pretty sure this thing will be expensive to buy simply because I'd need to buy all new white bricks. I've had horrible luck buying used white, they're usually discolored and ugly. I get a sweet 40% discount at BL store I help run, but someone bought most of the white parts I needed! Such lousy timing... who knows when we'll get a haul of clean white again. Also, please consider donating a dollar or two to my paypal if you want the LDD file for this build, it'll go towards bills, and- nah, it'll go towards building my own lol. Details on the Flickr pics
  9. Yep, I built a badass space thing. -Space for 2 or 3 figs + weapons -Turbines can tilt Lots more pictures/notes/WIP shots on my Flickr. M-44 Hammerhead by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr M-44 Hammerhead by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr M-44 Hammerhead by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr
  10. Love the engines, the brown car looks like a future station wagon lol
  11. Talk about a renewable energy source, those chickens just poop out more little chickens to take their place xD
  12. Lol, you can easily turn that into a good times van
  13. I'm convinced we're all psychicly connected, I started working on a Bandit truck a few weeks ago lol. Really cool, I think the rim around the turrets is a little fat, but I don't know how you would make them slimmer.
  14. Maybe use some plates with clips to clip to the wings, then build on from there?
  15. $20 a figure is waaaay more than you need to spend, especially if you already have the designs made. Your options for printing them are either sticker (label) paper or water-slide decal paper, both are cheap and can be found at office supply stores or hobby shops. The more important thing is you need a good printer, find someone with a laser printer or anything that can print crisp small details. I don't know how much someone would charge you for letting you borrow their fancy printer though, that's up to you guys lol
  16. I hope that doesn't happen here! I don't mind having to rebuy a few cheap decals, but I can see the problem if you're army-building. And while we're on Dark Grey, I think the Dark Bluish Grey on SS's decals needs to lose a little bit of blue to match the LEGO color better.
  17. Got around to finishing this character (mostly, I need to paint the helmet, or maybe get a brown one). Shaved less off the torso since she has bulkier gear. Heavy Soldier Female by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr I had to shave away material from inside the helmet because it was too tight to slip over the face decal, your experience may vary.
  18. Kyuuuuute! lol What do you use to make the mosaic, a ton of 1x1 plates? Also, how do you keep it together, is the back supported by many large plates?
  19. Well, I'm bored, so if you can find some good clear shots of the torsos I can do the line art, that way you can color them any color you need. Alternately, you could easily change the color on the decals you found with Color Selection in Photoshop, or a similar free program.
  20. So did you need the soldiers or the captain? Either way they both have easy designs to copy, someone could make them in a few minutes.
  21. Yep, I wish the robot arm had a little bend in it too, but I don't mind. Here's an update, only photoshopped the helmet and arm colors: Samus Aran WIP by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr I'm using Sand Green for the cannon because plain Green is butt ugly lol
  22. The water is boring, maybe add some cheese slopes to make it look more ferocious
  23. Here we go with more picssssss Added curves to a few more femmes and here's the result. Space Babes & Colonial Marine by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr Notes -Even though Saber Scorpion's store shows the Colonial Marine with Dark Tan coloring under the kneepads and little bits at the belt, the decals I got had Sand Green. Kind of annoying because I wanted the Dark Tan, but there is an easy solution to use whatever pants you want. Simply cut the colored part out of the kneepads and belt! The decals look much better without the colored background anyway. (And no, I didn't whine about the color to SS get another free decal lol) -The Dark Blue chick has a cool grid pattern on the black parts. The decal quality is consistent, they aren't grainy, they stick well, etc. I actually removed and reapplied the visor decal 4 times before I was happy with how it sat, there was no damage to the decal! These are WIPs I need to add curves to, note that I didn't paint black along the edges of Cortana's decals so the white is visible. Moar WIPs by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr Here's something you should never do in a fire fight; hide behind a giant red gas tank lol Human vs. Hard Suit by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr And a quick look at Samus so far: Samus Aran WIP by Henchmen4Hire, on Flickr
