  1. Ooh, sweet memories of benching in front of the TV on Saturday mornings in the mid 90s, watching one or two episodes of B5 and then ringing up a friend on the landline to discuss the latest episodes. Thank you muchly, Triple F! I'm gonna have a great time reading through your website, especially after I noticed the page links at the top of pages

  8. For truffles and glory!

  9. I found a single one of these on the LEGO shelves at Target Newton (Adelaide) on Saturday, and in my case they were kind enough to give it to me.
  10. My prediction is still that Mr. Gold will not be physically present in a CMF bag, but rather available via redemption of some kind. Otherwise it will be too easy to find Mr. Gold, and surely those with direct access to the boxes will get their hands on him first, with little opportunity for the regular guy or kid to get one.
  11. Nice find! I believe that set retailed at $148, so good on you! You should post that in the Lucky LEGO Finds thread at http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8156 as well
  12. Oops Jellyfish is the first thing I thought of, although I thought those two bare antenna pieces were a bit suspicious.
  13. Ooh, nice submarine! I love the part choice for the hatch and fins/stabilisers Are the pom poms supposed to be jellyfish, or am I totally on crack?
  14. Did I get in? Probably not, but it doesn't matter, I needed to change my avatar anyway avatar by KartoffelViking, on Flickr
  15. Doc arrived in Fabuland in 2010, with nothing but a crate of dynamite and an old map showing the approximate location of a massive "truffle ore". (Someone claimed to have seen the words "Made in Chima" printed on the back of the map, so any concerns about its authenticity were promptly dismissed.) With the promise of ample employment opportunities, increase in local business, and last but not least, enough truffles for everyone, he quickly gathered support from authorities and investors, and set up the Fabuland Truffle Miners Co. Pty. Ltd. Inc. His truffle loving employees have yet to hit the legendary ore, but Doc assures everyone they are getting real close now. In the meantime, Doc is taking his OSH obligations seriously, by only giving his employees as much dynamite as they think they need in order to get to the truffles, and insisting on personally "taking care of" any sharp shards of "glass" they discover in the process. Doc is one of the richest inhabitants in all of Fabuland.
  16. Wow. This is *stunning*! My eyes are almost getting sore from moving around and looking at all the amazing and awesome details in this build. There's so much joy! I want to live in a mushroom too
  17. Big W Marion (Adelaide) has some DIno sets on clearance by the looks of things. T-Rex Hunter was $60, and Triceratops Trapper was $55. The Vampyre Hearse was also cheaper at $35.
  18. That's a groovy vehicle, Purpearljellyblob! I like how you've extended the base Fabuland chassis with SNOT, and the horn is a great detail And I hope you find an opportunity to share with us the photos Edward takes during his trip!
  19. That is such a great story, Oky! It should be printed in history class text books around the world :-)
  20. Thanks for the comments, everyone! Indeed, in Fabuland the line between the two domains is very blurry, and I imagine frequently crossed. Thanks! I wanted to build the vehicle in a cartoon-like style, but by searching for "gypsy caravans" I see what you mean. Haha, that's awesome, thanks! I've seen a few episodes, but I never became a regular viewer, and it looks like I've been missing out. I should use this opportunity to pick up season one and give it a go from the start.
  21. Any word on what happens to the Coles Express polybags that are not sold one week? Do they carry over to subsequent weeks, are they sent back to LEGO, or will they be cleared out cheaply at some stage?
  22. Harold Horse is sad. He was crossing the street and minding his own business, when he slipped on a banana peel and broke his right leg. The Fabuland Ambulance Service is already at the scene, and the ever optimistic Radko Rabbit is getting the brushes ready. But Clarice Cat, the senior officer, has been in this situation before and knows what needs to be done. This is my entry to the Fabuland Vehicle Contest. The ambulance was inspired by a typical Norwegian ambulance: http://upload.wikime...s_18jun2005.jpg.
  23. The following sentence from Mr. Gold's bio (http://minifigures.l...os/Default.aspx) is rather intriguing: "[...] he may be discovered in all sorts of unexpected places, but he never seems to turn up exactly when and where you’re looking for him." Will he be limited to CMF series 10? Will he actually be inside a CMF bag? This would make it rather easy for people (i.e. adults) to just feel the bags until they find one (even if Mr. Gold is awfully elusive and rare), and the CMF boxes and bags at my local Target, Kmart, Big W etc. will be even more ravaged than usual. It would make more sense if the "Mr. Gold bags" simply contained a normal CMF and some token to claim Mr. Gold (Willy Wonka style).
  24. Great limo, Ninja Nin! I've never seen a steering wheel at that angle before, and what is the yellow "tail" piece made of? Oars? By the way, surely a rich and dandy lion like Lionel would have a chauffeur to drive him around, in order to not disturb the romancing going on in the back :-D
  25. lightningtiger; do you have any updates in regards to Harvey Norman Big Buys and LEGO? You mentioned a while back that they were supposed to start selling LEGO.
