LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Kaijumeister replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Hovertank set is actually £30, all the sets are listed on the Disney Store and Toys'R'us websites. As...underwhelming as the majority of this year's sets were, the Rogue One lineup is incredibly solid. Looking forward to picking up all of these and most likely all three constraction figures on release day. It's a shame that the Cargo Shuttle and AT-ACT seem to have been left out for this wave, but maybe they'll be released as the higher priced sets next summer. -
LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Kaijumeister replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Horrible news regarding the Rogue One pricing, was planning to buy the whole wave on day one. This probably doesn't bode well for us UK fans either! Initially the Pricevortex prices indicated that the Tank would approximate £35 (same as the Eclipse Fighter), AT-ST being £40 (corresponding to the First Order Snowspeeder), TIE-Striker at £60 (same as the Special Forces TIE), Krennic's Shuttle at £80-90 (corresponding to the FO Transporter), and the U-Wing based somewhere between £60-£70. Really hope Lego doesn't push it too far because those prices were relatively decent for Star Wars sets. -

Was the Bridge Battle £90 by any chance? I know it's meant to be £100 but remember Amazon having it for pre-order for that price. -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Kaijumeister replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yep, they were up for pre-order on the Amazon UK site for a while before being taken down, release date is June 1st (same for Star Wars and most other themes I believe). I must say the entire summer lineup is incredible! Definitely picking up the Ghost Rider and Bridge Duel sets, along with the Tanker Truck Takedown. Hopefully the latter will be released in the June along with the rest of the sets here in the UK. These sets are the best yet in my opinion, finally in regards to both the minifigures and builds. -
Diverting a bit from the current discussion, but that large weapon Star-Lord is holding in the Milano set is shown in the GotG trailer, nice bit of detail!

Spoiler - Lego Movie sets and film comparison with spoilers
Kaijumeister replied to SMC's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I haven't seen the film yet, but the snail from the Cloud Cuckoo Palace set is definitely in it. That clip of the group entering Cloud Cuckoo Land shows the snail right in the beginning, moving behind the characters. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Kaijumeister replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm actually loving the new designs, they're fresh and highlight each Turtle's unique traits! Will be interesting to see if their minifigs have newly moulded heads.. Shredder looks deadly, really liking it. -
I'm absolutely loving the Behind-the-Bricks featurette! So many hilarious background details, like the chickens robbing that dude at gunpoint, Batman interrogating someone, and a worker falling from the ceiling. This movie looks to be amazingly well crafted and I have no doubt it will perform will both critically and in the box office.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Kaijumeister replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I doubt the Ghost will have much interior space (though the front cockpit looks like it can slide out), it's hollow in the midsection to fit in the Phantom (the wings of which look like they are supposed to slide in to the Ghost). The Ghost really looks great though, loving the McQuarrie influences on the design, his works were amazing. Interesting to see that one of the minifigures in the set is a lightsaber wielder, cool stuff indeed. The Snowspeeder, while looking slightly different (and an excellent use of the stud-blaster for the harpoon gun), looks way too similar to the old designs. I would've thought that it would have been redesigned from scratch by now. Especially the inaccurate cockpit. Jedi Hunter Frontier looks sweet, an original and swooshable ship, thumbs up from me! -

I guess this emphasises how early on in the preliminary stage the pictures in the catalog were. The Rebels sets look to be great, the Phantom looks a little small, but that's no surprise for £20. £70 for the Ghost is a really pleasant surprise! Though obviously it's due to Lego selling the Phantom/Wolf separately, here's hoping the latter can dock on the former. -
Thanks for the confirmation Legoevilelmo! Does the Blackbird look decent? It's surprising that there's only 4 minifigures, but I guess the addition of the Sentinel as another bad guy somewhat makes up for it.

The Lego Movie LDD MOC - Haystack Attack
Kaijumeister replied to Sir Brickalot's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You've done a great job using the pieces from the jet alternative model, a solid effort and model overall, so well done! I especially like the way you did the front of the tractor. -
I still regard the soundtrack from Legends of Metru-Nui as one of the best I've ever heard, just get the chills listening to it! Back on topic, the episode was nicely done! I liked the increased quality in animation but feel that the mechs were destroyed way too easily, but then again you can't put too much into a 22-minute time-slot. The summer sets are shaping up to be pretty awesome, though I'm not too pleased to see the Furno and Evo duo again in another set. I'm sure 2014 won't be the last we see of Lego fusing constraction and system-scale minifigures, and like many of you have said, heroes versus villains in mechs is most definitely a possibility.

Nothing as of yet, but the largest set will most definitely be their ship that was shown in the SDCC footage. There is something off about the piece count of the X-Men set given what we've seen. The fact that both $50 Marvel sets (Hulk Lab Smash and Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout) have had piece-counts nearing 400 and contain big-figs makes me wonder why the piece count is so small if we're supposedly not even getting any large figures in the X-Men set.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Kaijumeister replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Somewhat disappointing to see another Jek-14 set in the $60-70 range, I would have thought that Lego would have put him in a cheaper set to make up for the sales of the Stealth Fighter. $70 for the Cantina would equate to roughly £60, surprisingly cheap as stated by Lego Spy! Will definitely pick that up now. -
Nice to see the Overlord finally getting a minifigure of his own! Looking forward to seeing how the full temple looks like. I finally managed to pick up my first Rebooted sets; Thunder Raider, Kai's Fighter, and Destructoid. Opened the Thunder Raider and am absolutely loving it, job well done by Lego! Now I'm thinking of refunding Destructoid and getting the NinjaCopter instead.

The Lego Movie LDD MOC - Haystack Attack
Kaijumeister replied to Sir Brickalot's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm liking what I see! You've managed to adhere to the movie's core concept of using creativity and imagination in order to fully "transform" every-day vehicles into something else entirely, I'm loving the futuristic look of the jet, and the fact that it's made from a tractor is even better! The way you've done the cockpits is great, I'm assuming the back one is for a gunner right? The Micro-Manager looks adorably chibi yet has a sense of menace just like how the movie-line's ones have, though a minor improvement would be to add more articulation to the arms. All in all, great job dude! Do you plan on making the tractor as well? -
REVIEW: 70803 Cloud Cuckoo Palace
Kaijumeister replied to Clone OPatra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What a fantastic little set! Lego has honestly gone all out on this theme and I love it, so much creativity and the general impression it makes is overwhwelmingly positive. The fact that this set appeals to both genders of all ages is just another merit of how innovative this set is, brilliant stuff.- 32 replies

Fantastic news that the GoTG and X-Men sets are confirmed! The X-Men set teased is clearly in its preliminary stages, the way Storm's legs are rendered for example, indicate an unfinished design. The set itself is most definitely the Blackbird, given that it's flying and has flick fires. I'm very anxious to see how many sets we'll be getting exactly, three to four for Guardians as suggested by LMB10 would make sense, to capitalise on the movie release and due to the fact that these sets will be direct merchandise of the film, I'm assuming we'll get new moulds for Groot and Rocket (and possibly Star Lord's mask? His guns will most probably be the AQ blasters). On the other hand, the X-Men ones sets only capitalising on the DoFP film simply by the fact that they're X-Men sets, which makes me think there'll be two to three of them (if there's one page dedicated to them on the catalogue). Lego's honestly overusing that female hair mould though, I hope it's only a stand-in for Storm's finalised hair!
