That's a cool forum feature. I wish we had it over at "that other site". Jeremy

LOL! Sorry, I meant: Laughing Out Loud! Jeremy

Just had word back from LEGO and they were made for some of the LEGOLAND modellers. A small batch was made and they shouldn't have left the park but they somehow got leaked. And on a snide note (see what I did there?!) the title of this thread sounds vaguely X-rated ;)

1) if you are going to quote somebody's post then get it right. 2) I write like I speak. If you don't like that then just skip my posts. 3) if you are going to correct people's spelling you really should try harder - "grammer" is spelled grammar 4) intentions and other words of three syllables are not considered long words I'm beginning to think that this forum has become over sensitive to youth culture. You guys are trying to prevent people from using LOL, TTYL and such but you carry on using LEGO abbreviations like RGS, MOC and AFOL. What is the difference between using modern conversational shortcuts and those that have grown up in the LEGO community? Nothing that I can see. For the sake of Dovchenko I am translating that last paragraph into short and more friendly words so he can understand: You are all too pissy with the kids. Sure, why can't they say LOL and stuff like that when you all use AFOL and other LEGO slangs? It's all dope, yo. I really don't know why I'm letting Dovchenko get under my skin, he's only 13 after all, which is nearly one third my age. If you think that teenspeak is being promoted by the younger forum members then enforce the age limit in the registration process. But it won't stop everyone from using some l33t speak because even so-called adults slip into it from time to time. Even stuffy, over-educated authors with their hair rolled up in a bun like me.

I love it - you sound like a retail coyote bringing back SW LEGO instead of cheap labour ;) Jeremy

I don't mean to swing this thread off topic but you are probably right. There was a SDCC exclusive video game tie-in after all.

It's tempting to poke fun but I have to remember that we all started out making sets like this. And where would the reader's photos section of the LEGO Magazine be without people like this? Jeremy

I think Palpatine would have a jacuzzi and a pool table :) To be serious I think the colour scheme you picked is more Chancellor Palpatine than Emperor Palpatine. Compare his office in AOTC or ROTS to the throne room in ROTJ and you'll see what I mean. At the very least there should be a throne on board the shuttle. Jeremy

Seeing as you haven't posted anything in this thread before now why would I be replying to you? You might mean North America but I'm replying to badger's question: And he does ask about Europe. We don't have Target in the UK either but I still found it elsewhere. Where do you normally get the Target US exclusives in Canada? Look there. Jeremy

I've cross-posted this MOC to the Rebelscum forums too. Jeremy

Just check out BaronSat's website. Jeremy

Even LEGO got it wrong because all their early CW press info that came out in February had her named spelled incorrectly. I secretly hoped no-one would spot this to see if got as far as the printers when it came to produce tha packaging. Jeremy

I don't know where you live but all the sets you mentioned are available either on LEGO.com or Toys R Us. Jeremy

Not in the two or three Woolies I've been in in Cambridgeshire. Can I ask if you saw these before or after Clone Wars Day (July 26th)? If it was before I'd guess they were just display sets and not available for purchase. But then again there were plenty of Woolies across the country selling them in advance of their release date. But Woolies always does that - AOTC, ROTS and now TCW embargo dates were all broken. Jeremy

I'm going to have to agree with your first statement but not your second. The 7666 set currently available in the UK is a re-release and has been AWOL for over 4 months. I'm only being nickety-pickety because your "still" might lead people to believe that it has been continuously available since it was first released. Jeremy

Did you not note that I ended my first comment with a wink? It means I was joking. This might explain where all the LEGO SW younglings that hung out at RS have gone in the last year :) The guidelines you lay out in your first post of this thread is very clear, concise and polite but the tone that has followed in later posts is much darker and sinister. Perhaps you are getting a little annoyed with people contradicting your intentins. I'll leave it go, but hopefully you'll see my advice as worthy of considering. Jeremy

Yes, I've seen it at Woolworths (UK) and bought it the LEGO brand shop in Milton Keynes (UK). I've even built it! Jeremy

It's also a European LEGO collecting site is it not? (Or have I misinterpreted the site's title?) Will you be evicting those members who don't live in Europe too? ;) Bonaparte - listen to some advice from someone who has been in your shoes and went down the road you are going: don't get hung up on people using bad spelling or grammar. Encourage them to use their keyboard to the full extent, but don't police people for not complying with your wishes. I can asure you that absolutely no good will come of any kind of approach that has no flexibility on it. You've got a nice little community here and you really don't need to rock the boat. If the members don't want to read L33T speak then allow them to post comments in threads that will create a ripple of amusement in order to send the right message. If they don't post such comments then you can assume that not everyone shares your view. Handling this any other way will eventually result in someone rolling the "nazi" badge out - and that never goes down well. Learn from someone who has experienced all of this - relax, man! Jeremy

No idea, but you'll know as much as I do now by July 1st. Jeremy
-
It's not. I've got the press release for ths set and it isn't IG-88 at all. But it does look like him. Jeremy
-
Sorry, typo on my part. I'll go and edit my post. Thanks for pointing this out. Jeremy

The RGS is confirmned for the 26th July. There is no date for the DGS. Yet. Jeremy
-
That's not true. Some of us know exactly what the DS comes with and when it will be released. We just aren't telling. Jeremy

Hi. I have never seen this poster, which was an exclusive give-away, for sale anywhere - not even on eBay. Jeremy

I know what you meant. Jeremy
