  1. Well, they do have functions: they fly, and sometimes they blow up.
  2. That's why god almighty created the "Subscribe" and "Notify" buttons.
  3. 100% agreed. It's also useful for backing up in case of device upgrade or format, and for sharing alongside building instructions.
  4. Indeed, I haven't heard from @imurvai here in a while. Hopefully nothing happened to him.
  5. Once inserted, it is easy to take it out again, or is it like the legs of the UCS AT-AT?
  6. At that time, people bashed it because it had those "gimmicky" gearbox-based motorised functions instead of a gearbox dedicated to an engine transmission and manual functions. That, as well as seeing how 8275 is appreciated nowadays and equally bashed when it came out, makes me think people will look back with fondness for the sets being launched nowadays.
  7. %7BfileStore.core_Attachment%7Dmonthly_2025_05/IMG_20250527_180701.jpg.fadc24ee2a217da846248c12e2ca94b7.jpg
  8. That'd be a great opportunity for the return of the flex system (preferably in a less fragile version).
  9. If I'm not mistaken, the embargo dates are also under embargo.
  10. Its hub is still interesting, with the integrated motors for a quick driving base, the 6 independent LEDs, and the ability to charge without taking anything off. Too bad its firmware is (hopefully just for the time being) locked and therefore unusable with Pybricks.
  11. Plus, the model itself doesn't allow the battery to be removed and stored elsewhere without partial disassembly. This leads to phantom drain when the set isn't being played with, and therefore the risk of deeply discharging the battery and killing it. Owners of electronics with non-removable batteries that are rarely used: remember to recharge from time to time! Actually your YT channel is one of the few LEGO channels whose videos I watch all of them... yet I was under the impression that you were on the "proprietary batteries" camp.
  12. Thank goodness I finally find someone that agrees with me on standard batteries being better than proprietary ones! Like I said many times before , until a standard Li-Ion format comes along (18650 is IMO a good candidate), I prefer to stick to old and inefficient, but reliable and plentiful, rechargeable AAs and AAAs.
  13. I'm not very versed in business and economics, but isn't TLG a family-owned company, and therefore without shareholders?
  14. Well, the size of the parts can be explained by each one having to include its own battery, and the spider cable is to be able to charge everything at once. But I too don't see a bright future for this kind of system.
  15. Yes, it's an alcoholic, rude-talking robot from the future, that also teaches.
  16. Do you really want rechargeable batteries? Proprietary ones, that sooner or later will die, and then, unlike discontinued software, there's no way to recover without electronics skills or expensive 3rd-party substitutes? Until consumer electronics agree on a standard for rechargeable Li-Ion cells (such as 18650), I'll happily settle with standard AAs and AAAs plus a charger for them.
  17. I know it's a dumb question, but just in case: did you turn location on and gave BC2 access to it? For some reason, Android requires location to search for BT devices.
  18. Isn't the 42138 transporter-scale? (even though it's a pullback with no steering)
  19. I keep forgetting... the Volvo loader is supposed to be the flagship, right? So, if it's not pneumatic, then very likely it'll be electric (PU or otherwise).
  20. Thanks for the heads-up, I edited the post to fix it.
  21. New angle connector in the new Botanicals 10347. It looks like the "2/3 snowflake" connector that appeared in the Corvette, with one of the axle holes chopped off:
  22. If you want to build with keetorange, it is a god of a parts pack.
  23. It does have useful parts, such as the dark blue stuff and the 3-wide frames, but that still doesn't justify its price.
  24. Just like most people in EB's Technic section.
