To me, the greatest official Technic animal of all (not that there are many) is the animatronic T-rex.

They also have an educational value: they show that Technic elements can be used to build things other than machinery, and hopefully inspire people to do so.

Belville figs are the same scale as techfigs, and early ones have the exact same articulation. They're a lot less blocky, though.

I think the added complexity and friction of a fake engine would reduce performance, which is already weak for LEGO vehicles when compared to dedicated RC cars.

I agree with Technic GWPs, but perhaps a Bolide-sized set is a bit too expensive. I'm thinking about something more in the lines of the polybags or the $10 sets.

Well, it doesn't have a gearbox, which takes a lot in size and complexity.

Larger tyres that can cope with the increased weight of a proportionally large vehicle would have to be built quite differently from those LEGO currently makes, and therefore perhaps they'd be a lot more expensive. For example, I remember seeing some years ago that people had to build structures to put between tyre and rim in large, Power Puller-equipped trial trucks.

TLG's consistency on what is considered "acceptable" or "unacceptable" in terms of violence/warfare/killing is a whole can of worms. Examples: Indiana Jones, Overwatch, 10226, 10024.

For that I used https://www.webrick.com/, to buy trans-clear parts for my Cybertruck and trans-neon-green parts for my Mini Core Magnetizer. So far I only bought System parts from there, so I don't know what's the quality of their Technic parts.

The white and orange parts are clearly meant to go together to form differentials, but I'm not seeing what's the function of the gear with grey interior and white exterior. Is it a torque-limiting gear like the 76244?

A version of the current Fiat 500 is exactly like that, but in that case it's intentional.

Whoa, that'll be easily mixed up with the "regular" type by consumers, unless (and probably even though) clear callouts bring attention to choosing the correct type for that specific step. If this were done by LEGO, I'm certain that the two orientations would be colour-coded to reduce mistakes, but from what I've read here that's uncommon with CaDa.

Not always. The first counterexample that pops in my mind is the Mack Anthem, whose tractor was designed by Milan Reindl and the trailer by Markus Kossmann.
