  1. No, I know for a fact that it's alive. Perhaps delayed, but definitely alive.
  2. One could say that the price isn't... astronomical?
  3. Because a Porsche is allegedly good for picking up them ledeeez 😏
  4. They did that with 42082, and people complained that it was a lazy way to bump up the part count.
  5. You can even use the power button in the hub itself for your programs. In that case, however, you'll have to include some way in your program to end it.
  6. Technic was great until they ruined it in 1977.
  7. I think it's better to baby-step builders than to handle complaints that "these legos [sic] don't work" from builders who didn't pay close attention to the instructions.
  8. That's exactly how the real Perseverance's suspension works. The only difference is that it has a dedicated steering motor for each front and rear wheel, instead of having a mechanism going all the way into the main body.
  9. That's why both are Technic and not Speed Champions.
  10. Well, inhaling gaseous beer should make for an interesting experiment.
  11. The LEGO employee responsible for the photo shoot wanted to fix it, but John Deere wouldn't allow it.
  12. They are two bananas. One of them is a gear, the other is a claw. Together, they fight crime!
  13. Keeping the claw pneumatic would solve that problem: it only needs to be fully open or closed anyways, and pneumatic has the advantage of applying constant force, which is good for grabbing claws.
  14. No, the mode should change whether the left wheels turn in the same direction as the right wheels, or the opposite. The "turn in place" mode is as shown in the box, whereas the "regular steering" mode works like the 8660 or the 8830.
  15. Actually, it does have steering modes. From the article you linked: The difference from the Xerion is, while the former has "normal steering" and "crab walk", this one has "normal steering" and "turning in place".
  16. Yeah, I remember seeing "clones" of the 42100 with regular-length LAs and brick-built buckets.
  17. You mean rocker-bogie? It's my favourite suspension system for unusual vehicles, even in the simpler 4-wheel configuration.
  18. It'd be nice if it had a Xerion-like steering mechanism to orient the wheels for regular driving and for turning in place: there might be enough space inside for that.
  19. TechLug's reviews are usually sticker-free, and this is no exception. https://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-technic/42156/peugeot-9x8-42156-kasper-rene-hansen-2023
  20. Just like engine cylinders used to be brick-built before specialised parts appeared, if more Technic cars need fake electric motors TLG may develop equally specialised parts. On the other hand, I'm still waiting for specialised "small cylinder engine" parts to avoid the cumbersomeness we have today in cars like the Bolide and the Camaro.
  21. Yeah, reproducing a car's electric motor in Technic was bound to require unusual solutions, and something that would have to happen sooner or later with the proliferation of electric cars. I do like the choice of parts for the motor's rotor: it feels authentic to me, at least as authentic as their combustion engine LEGO counterparts.
  22. Actually, the 9398, the 41999 and the 42099 also have four-wheel drive with front and rear axles mechanically disconnected from each other.
  23. And/or maybe because it looks more similar to an electric transmission?
