  1. I still believe the Technic animals have their audience. Maybe not as many as the vehicles but there is a lot more variety in nature than in car industry.
  2. That quote cannot be about anything else than LEGO Parts :) Apologies, my friends. By mistake I showed you another alternate model as the 30th one instead of this. The Rhino Family consists of two models. The main one moves head up and down by moving its tail and the head swivels from side to side on the neck. The baby rhino does not have any functions except for looking cute. Happy Building!
  3. 42117 Plane with Retractable Landing Gear This might be not the most beautiful plane that I created from the 42117, but it boasts having three functions - Retractable landing gear, spinning propeller and working elevators. And it is the alternate build No. 30 that I created from the set. Happy Building!
  4. Thank you very much. More are on the way.
  5. Hello there, here is another submersible from the Space Police set. I took the Galactic Peace Keeper 6886 and turned it into this Anglerfish using most of its parts. It can open its big mouth, move the pectoral and tail fins. The opening cockpit can fit comfortably both the minifigures.
  6. My beloved FORD GT Mk IV 1967 built entirely using the parts of 42154. The car features: indepenent suspension on all wheels front axle steering detailed fake V8 engine connected to rear wheel drive opening doors, opening engine cover with support detailed interior and racing stripes https://bricksafe.com/pages/grohl/42154-ford-gt-mk-iv
  7. Thank you very much :) M:Tron Stellar Hauler This alternate build was a tough challenge but I am more or less happy with turning an articulated space tow truck (Celestial Forager 6896) into a cargo ship with working crane and two moving side cannons. The model uses all the parts of the set except for one wheel. Blacktron Destroyer Turning the Battrax 6941 into a modular dropship with a rover was not easy. This ship utilizes all the parts of the donor set. The front part detaches from the cargo hold and works as a small ship on its own, but you can detach the rearmost section with poseable rudders and add it to the front. The main wings swivel from flying to parking position and the rover with articulated steering can detach easily from the cargo hold and can be driven around by the pilot. Happy Building!
  8. Thank you for the praise. Yes, I designed the set a few years ago and it keeps on giving. Currently working on alternate number 39.
  9. 29th alternate build of 42117 is here! The plane features spinning propeller linked to the landing gear and the front wheel follows the direction of the plane on the ground.
  10. Thank you very much!
  11. The Freezing Phoenix is my very first alternate of Ice Planet 2002 set. This time I took the Blizzard Baron 6879 and turned it into this bird-like spaceship using 100% of the parts. The Phoenix can move its head and neck, the cockpit can be opened and the tail swivels from side to side. From the build I am most proud of the head that utilizes some of the trans neon orange parts icluding skis and a chainsaw blade. Instructions are available in the video.
  12. FREEDOM GUNDAM Allow me to introduce my alternate model of the LEGO Technic 42145 Airbus H175 Helicopter. It uses only the parts included in the set. It is based on the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam with slightly changed colour combo due to the donor set. The robot measures: 47 cm in height 61 cm in wingspan The model features 4 motorized functions operated by a gearbox: Wing movement Torso rotation Arm movement Head rotation Other features include: Poseable shoulders, elbows and thumbs Poseable hip, shoulder and knee guards Accessories include: Beam Rifle Shield Sword The battery box is attached to a brace that helps to stabilize the figure but it stands perfectly on an even surface. Hi-Res photos available here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/grohl/42145-freedom-gundam#
  13. @allanpShall I create a separate topic then?
  14. Thank you gentlemen! I really appreciate it. @gyenesvi this question is more for our part designers but in general it makes the build a lot easier
  15. FREEDOM GUNDAM is an alternate model of the LEGO Technic 42145 Airbus H175 Helicopter and uses only the parts included in the set.
  16. You are more than welcome :) Mrija is my first alternate build of the 6923 Particle Ionizer. It is named after the world's biggest and only AN-225 cargo plane that was destroyed a year ago. The model features opening cockpit, storage space under the wings, 6 engines, elevators that can be angled up or down, moving rear gun, hinged cargo section held in place by magnets, foldable robot, opening cargo door revealing a storage container with precious trans neon green cargo. Free instructions available through here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-140059
  17. Thank you very much for the praise. I can promise there will be many more coming. 6887 Blacktron II Harrier is an alternate model of the Blacktron II 6887 Allied Avenger and uses 100% of its parts. The model is 22 cm long and 23 cm wide and features opening canopy, opening wing sections, moving wings and detachable rear module. Video with instructions: https://youtu.be/mN-wDWAbBYo More images: https://bricksafe.com/pages/grohl/system-alternates/6887-harrier
  18. Allow me to introduce my first alternate build of the Rebel Hunter 6897 from 1992. The Hunter Chopper is a twin rotor helicopter with opening canopy section, spinning rotors and a control tower. The model utilizes 100% of the set's parts. Happy Building! https://youtu.be/ikeRqybsDMk
  19. 6895 Justice Interceptor is my first alternate model of the 6895 Space Police Spy Trak. The model features two openable cockpit sections, each fitting a minifigure. The model has forward swept wings, 4 laser cannons and can spin easily on your table.
  20. Hello everybody, the magnificent Galaxy Explorer 10497 reignited my passion for old LEGO Space sets. Even though my heart beats for Technic, my very first Lego set was the M:Tron Vector Detector 6877. Since August I enlarged my collection of space sets and in most cases managed to get my hands on some of the sets I only dreamt about when I was a child. Back then I had only 6877, 6878 and 6811. I would like to use this thread for presenting my alternate builds of the LEGO space sets that I acquired in the last months. When I was a kid, I did not have a big collection but I always (to an extent) managed to build what I wanted. Creating alternate builds is one of my big passions and I love working with limited inventories and coming up with new ways and ideas from the same brick. Here is the first of many alternates to come: 6877 Tensor Deflector The model utilises 100% of the parts and features opening cokpit and detachable storage container at the back. The building instructions are part of the video. Happy Building!
  21. Blacktron Dark Hornet is my first alternate build of the LEGO 40580 Blacktron Cruiser. It uses most of the provided parts and thanks to the fuselage modularity offers different flying configurations. The Cockpit section with opening canopy seats the Blacktron minifigure and the robot and has small wings that can be angled when this module flies on its own. The Cargo Hold fits a small flyer, metal detector, camera/bazooka, blaster and a storage box with precious red minerals. The wings that are attached to it can be either swept forwards or extended for a better maneuverability. The third module has rudders/elevators attached to it and two compartments for flares in case the Hornet gets targeted by other space vessels. The last module has the jet thruster attached to it. From the leftover parts you can build a small anti-air gun/transmitting module which can fit the minifigure or the robot. Happy building! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-134955
  22. Naboo N1 Starfighter is my 28th alternate build of the lego 42117 Race Plane. The model features retractable landing gear, rotating astromech droid head and a climbing ladder. Happy Building! https://www.instagram.com/p/CoDBbyPNxG4/
