  1. Both stunning and beautiful  I love the studs-out dark orange plates that give the rusted area a little more texture - great attention to detail there (and everywhere else for that matter). I want one.
  2. Oh yeah, it has to be the UCS Millennium Falcon hands down. I was lucky enough to get a brand new one off eBay for £295 about 2 weeks before it was discontinued . Got me a b*ll*cking of the missus - but now she wishes I'd bought more than one .
  3. I'm assuming you're not using these or something similar on the engines because you consider it to be too <insert that tiresome argument>? Having viewed the various samples you've linked too I'm struggling to pick a favourite, they all seem to have positive points. I'm looking forward to seeing this completed.
  4. Like most I'm hoping for some Endor BPs. But I'd also quite like some generic background characters, some droids, we definitely need more protocol droids. Maybe a Yavin BP could work; 2 x Temple Guards, 1 x Engineer, 1 x Pilot - I guess the vehicle would have to be the personnel carrier (I don't really need one of those). We definitely need more Jawas and Tuskens. But hang-on 'reasons most secret'? Does this mean we can look forward to a large scale Tatooine diorama in the not-too-distant-future?
  5. Not sure if this is the best place for this, but here goes... Some of you may have seen the pics of the lovely promo booklet that previewed at a toy fair along with the white Boba Fett last year. Well it turns out that an almost identical item (fastened with staples not screws) was recently a free give-away at Argos in the UK. I'm not sure how the offer worked but of-course I missed out on it . However these things are now all over Ebay - selling from between £7.50 to £20.00! Mine arrived in the post the other day and I can confirm that the design and quality of this booklet is outstanding and definitely not something that would be appreciated by kids. Not sure if this will be/has been made available in other countries but it looks like an expensive item to produce and with print it's always more cost effective for higher quantities so my guess would be that it will crop up elsewhere. Here's some 'Buy It Now' Ebay links: Link ...another link ...and one more. There's more up for the bid too.
  6. Not much to add really. A fantastic rendition at this scale and miles better than the official version.
  7. Yet another fantastic mini Legostein and I agree with other comments regarding your innovative part usage. You're certainly succeeding in your mission - forcing me to look at reference material and therefore acknowledge the existance of the EU!
  8. Looking fantastic so far Cavegod! I like the detailing you've added on the small interior section in the centre. There's definitely some subtle differences between yours' and marshal_bananas'. Did you end up going for random brick picking between brown & reddish brown? - Whatever you did it's certainly working.
  9. I've decided its time to go back to basics...
  10. Yes there are, but they're on a Captain America comic book poster.
  11. A really nice design and beautifully built. I don't mind the long weapon, it gives the impression that this is just a big flying gun. The blue and white stripes are a great feature too.
  12. For the second time today I'm writing that I'm jealous of another members display/collection . All this in only six weeks!!! Personally I wouldn't let sand anywhere near my Lego but that just goes to show that not only do you have a more impressive display then me, you are also braver. Is that a Star Wars sheet on the floor? And nice posters BTW.
  13. Here's EPISODE II of my bacon trilogy... Apologies if this joke is only truly effective in the UK.
  14. Yes, it's a great collection/display and the posters work wonderfully. I'm a little jealous there's no way I'd be allowed to do anything like this at our house. You can see more of the posters here. You might be able to find hi-res versions by goggling the artists name. There's also some nice ones at starwars.com
