I posted some pics in the Licensed Theme Photography Topic today and am going to say the same here as I said there... I was working from home today, except all I did was photograph Lego I wouldn't say photography is something I'm particularly good at, I don't have the 'photographers eye' or a great camera. Hope these are OK.

Just scrolling down the page I was like 'hang-on, those trees are on the LANDING PLATFORM - OMG - this is BIG'. Then of course I scrolled further down and now I'm just lost for words - I'll settle for stunning. Can't wait to see more.

Been working from home today, but all I've done is photograph Lego I wouldn't say photography is something I'm particularly good at, I don't have the 'photographers eye' or a great camera. Hope these are acceptable. BTW I really like Cutlass Iz shots and my favourite is the one of Ron - the orange background and orange hair look good imo.

The legs are more posable and the body / shoulders can rotate for maximum destruction, although It doesn't look like an actual IG-88 would do that. Thanks Big Cam Thanks Future74 - nice MOC's This one's especially for you lightningtiger...

Congratulations KielDaMan But remember what Uncle Owen said, 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Hang on, no, sorry, wrong uncle and wrong theme. -
Thanks Tanotrooper, I was pleased with the marks on the face - I didn't realise they were the mold marks though Thanks guys. Hit the nail on the head there Brickdoctor. I used one of these - very handy.

Thanks KielDaMan, I removed the original speeder lxf because I really started to dislike it. The updated version is a bit sleeker but I'm still not 100% happy with it. I suppose it's a WIP. But have to be a little arrogant and agree that it's better than TLG's version. Also have to say IMHO this topic deserves a front page. In the very least to let EB members know it's here and how to use it, but also because it's such a fantastic source of ideas, techniques and great MOC's.

Seeing this just fills me with regret, I went to Disneyland Paris last year and the kids refused to go on with me. Of course, I'm an adult so I'm not going to go on on my own - I had my chance and I blew it ! Maybe I should be more strict with the kids? I've never seen an MOC of this before and I think this one is great. The interior, the exterior, the background and the figures, it's all good stuff and good fun too.

Evil? He's not evil, it's just the way he's programmed, it's not his fault . A Droid going to Weight Watchers? ... Sounds like there's a 'single pane funny' in there somewhere. Thanks for the feedback lightningtiger. Thanks Enpaz. The legs really are much stronger than they look.

I was thinking exactly the same as Brickdoctor until Cad Bane left the link to a reference image. It looks like a pretty good representation to me and using 8092 as a starting point was a good idea. I imagine if TLG were to release a set based on this craft it wouldn't look dissimilar to what you have show here, well done.

Thanks Cheers, It's difficult to get everything bang-on at this scale. Maybe I should have presented him as a SW / LOTR Hybrid - IG-88 with Hobbit feet Good question; it's surprisingly secure, for example when I took him off the base plate in the 1st picture, his foot stayed on (on him, not the baseplate ) EDIT: Looks like Brickdoctor beat me to that answer

Yes, he is a bit on the skinny side, but I liked the extra detail of the slot in the technic bush and IMO almost anything is better than the official version. I could thin out his head by removing the studs (his head is possibly a bit too tall anyway) but then he has no character whatsoever. Here's a fatter version I did about a year ago... EDIT: Although strictly speaking his body is STILL the same thickness as the top of his head. This just seems more filled out. I prefer the new one though.

Very amusing R5-N2, especially Vader's teddy bear and sith silk pyjamas.

Although I think mine is quite a bit different, Hopeso009's IG88 was a big inspiration for this build. If you ever see this, thanks Hopeso009 Judging by the reference he would be better in dark bley, but most parts aren't available in that colour. A mix of dark bley and black might be possible though, hmmmmm, but for now, here you go... Height comparison... Reference:

Wow, that's a beauty, such a cool shape. I was surprised to see how the door opens in two parts and I really like the single blue stripe. It looks like something that would fit in the not-too-distant future of Bladerunner. Such a shame you have to take it apart - but I suppose, you'll always have the photos.
-
Nice vignette I really like the circular air-lock door. Goose must have drank an awful lot to produce such a thick stream - or is that just the effects of low gravity I also haven't seen The Terminator for a while but this is another nice vignette. I like the Pool table, but most of all I like the bar tender - he's got bags of character.

MOC: Fantasy Island: Island Vehicle
Praiter Yed replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very retro, I particularly like that you used vintage bricks to keep the authentic 70's feel. Do you have any more retro builds in mind... The Beachcombers, Hawaii Five-O, The Love Boat... ? -
Maybe you could also help George Lucas repair Episodes I, II & III? BTW I like the 1x1 yellow trans plates, for me it adds an extra element to the scene - which is to make it look like a stage show. I'm sure that's not your intent, but I like it.
-
A much MOC'd scene this, but I think this is the best version I've seen. As others have mentioned the use of the grille-tiles is very effective. Well done

Me again Here's another one I've just updated... 74-Z Speeder Bike by Praiter Yed - LXF and then there's this one... Yavin IV Rebel Personnel Carrier by Praiter Yed - LXF Cheers

I was going to say I'd like to see bigger pictures - when 800 years old you reach - see as good you will not hmmm . But then I remembered I could just download your lxf and look at them that way - that's the beauty of LDD. From memory I'd say these are a very good representation of the speeders in AOTC and if not, they'd certainly sit well in the SW universe. It's nice to see you experimenting with LDD too . If I were to make any criticism at all, it would be that I'm not too keen on the straight/flat windscreens. I'd prefer to see something more angled, but that's just a personal preference.

Jey_Bee LDD MOCs

Totally agree with Brickdoctor here. I love that these look like proper Lego sets you could buy. Fantastic EDIT: Oh, and an extra thumbs up for The A-Team! -
Wow, this is looking really cool so far. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it - especially how you tackle all the greebling at the rear. Will you be putting the vacuum tube thing that sucks up droids on this?

I wondered who would be crazy enough to take on this mammoth task . Well done KDM - you're doing a great job. I've just replaced my Landspeeder Lxf file on Brickshelf with version 10 which has more structural integrity and is slightly more movie accurate. So you may need to update the link - I've updated it on my original post but here's a direct link if you need it. Landspeeder X lxf. BTW I'm just awaiting one more BL order then I'll be posting the brick-built version. EDIT: Sorry I've just realised how this works - so you don't need to do anything - pointless post.
