I also enjoy South Park and would be happy to do these (in fact I did some purist-ish versions a while ago) . But could you give me a bit more info? Do you want the faces to look closer to the South Park style rather than Lego style ie big white eyes? What about Kenny's hood - should that be part of the face decal or do you already have some headgear in mind? Is this what you had in mind Superficial Username? I can't guarantee the 'eye' position will be correct as I don't have a Catwoman mask to check against - but I can tweak it if it doesn't work for you.

That's very innovative.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
Praiter Yed replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I thought the whole 12 regeneration thing was gone now due to the destruction of the timelords? The master regenerated and he'd already used all his regenerations. Even if I'm wrong about that, it would be easy to get around... he could steal somebody else's body like The Master used to, or he could become a Cyberman EDIT: An interesting little article on why we should or shouldn't panic about a movie here. Some dodgy Who 'facts' in there though. -
I was sort of expecting to see hordes of the undead but this is still a really nice MOC. I really like the boarded up windows with the vines growing through, the little details like the grass growing in the road really add to the feel of a post-zombie-apocalypse world where nature is taking over. Well done I think the guy running for the door will survive, you'd expect the fella on the quad with the helmet and gun to make-it, which is exactly why he won't

Thanks Sorrow, I've learnt a new term 'intergluteal cleft' . She'd be very similar to Vicky she'd just have a more northern accent (no offence Northerners ). It was completely lost on me too until commndr_neyo suggested changing the colour on my flickr. Then I showed it to a guy I work with, who's a bit of a closet AFOL, and the first thing he said was 'is she on the game?' -
The use of real food is a great idea and the discarded sock (tile) made me smile

Nice work! Any plans to expand on this scene in future?

The hair has a nice unkept look which suits the figure perfectly and the hand-prints are brilliant

Thanks darthnihilius I'm happy you like it . I've updated my post above to include the torso.

This is worrying news but then I've found the whole re-launched DW very hit and miss from the off (I'm still glad it's back though). If they took the movie back to a Hartnell era origin type story it could actually be pretty good. I'd vote for Bill Nighy as the Doctor. -
Calm down dear. You're welcome - I look forward to seeing one of them. I've never heard of Darth Nihilus, darthnihilius. Is this OK? I'll have a look at the torso asap - just had a bit of spare time today.

Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film

Just read that Warners have given this project the greenlight. Link. And sounds like there will be some live-action. I have a bad feeling about this. -

Thanks TheLegoDr. I started a topic on Dry Rub Paper here, where there's a couple of varying opinions. I've found the white dry-rub paper useful for applying to darker coloured pieces because it puts a white adhesive backing behind your print which allows the colours to be more vivid (in my limited experience). On this particular custom I've used dry-rub for the torso and standard transparent decals for the arms & legs. I'd certainly recommend the dry-rub paper to somebody starting out using decals because in many ways it's less hassle and less materials (you still need varnish). But, they are pretty tricky to apply - you need a steady hand because once you peel the backing this stuff is STICKY - no chance of repositioning. I'm still relatively new to this though and really need to try my hand with other materials, maybe some of the experts would say dry-rub paper is rubbish. -
Is that what they are? How did you even manage to recognise them? I concur, nice use of backwards cut minifig arms. Bah, you young 'uns and yer new fangled video games . Although, if this was yellow and didn't have any arms or legs and had a big wedge cut of it, it could be PacMan! Now there's a video game custom I could appreciate

Updated first pic with a different coloured light - so she no longer looks like she might be soliciting EDIT: I forgot to thank Commdr Neyo for suggesting using a blue lightsabre blade and highlighting the insinuation of the 'red-light'. -
I don't know what/who Kirby is, but I'd love to know what parts/remnants you've used?

Nice to see a completely brick-built entry - great stance Sounds like the Elspeth share some human characteristics; the male is always horny and the female is not

This is a cool figure the extra height is good and I like the choice of scowling face. Did you spray paint the legs or paint by hand? - The finish is very smooth.

The lizard head and yellow colour scheme reminds me of Bossk but still a nice purist custom. -
I think it looks much more balanced with the 1x1 plus it has the added bonus of looking like it has backwards knees - something I always find looks very alien despite being popular in the animal kingdom .

It's OK, I just thought it would be a nice challenge to try a BB face decal in Lego style. Well I've done it now and I think Lego's looks more scary, mine looks a little bit sad . But at least you have a choice now...
-
This looks really good - the use of the 1x2 bricks with grill on the wings adds a great texture and I really like the way you've managed to incorporate the standard Tie windscreen without it looking blocky around the edge.
-
Glad you like it, but I can't take credit I just copied Lego's . I was tempted to do the BB version but then I noticed you'd removed the ref image .

Waterslide decals, where can i get them?
Praiter Yed replied to charlieboy's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I must have been in my dark-age when this theme was launched, but I've just re-drawn the Classic space logo for my alien competition entry and it would be easy for me to recreate this torso. Is it OK for me to PM you?
