Christopher Eccleston to play Malekith The Accursed in Thor: The Dark World And in other news: Bryan Singer confirms that the X-Men First Class 2 subtitle will be 'Days of Future Past' and discusses it here.

I asked the same question about 18 months ago and 10188 is still going strong! Only Lego can really determine when a set will reach EOL, we can only guess and my guess would be that the Death Star will be available for a lot longer than the Imperial Shuttle.

I wasn't allowed comics as a kid but somebody bought me a 2000AD Annual one Christmas and I read it over and over again - so I've been really excited about this movie, especially as the Sly Stallone one was so awful. I have to admit I'm not really impressed with the trailer, but on the other hand, I have read some great reviews (Rotten Tomatoes currently at 100% positive ) and Karl Urban is a good actor so fingers crossed EDIT: In depth review here.

Astromech Workplace Contest: Bossk's new job
Praiter Yed replied to Praiter Yed's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Thanks wokajablocka. Don't decide who to vote for yet - the most stunning entry will probably appear 10 seconds before the deadline -
Fantastic shot of the palace Smokebelch At first glance I thought Oola was super-imposed, she really stands out. I've got to get this set!

I think you did well to get a discount at all - cost of these is already rising on the after-sales market.

That's very gentlemanly of you Penguin, and there I was expecting to be gassed by a brolly. It seems to me that if I'm going to have a flower for a tag I might as well go the-whole-hog and have a pink one. So pink for me please. Thanks Penguin
-
Wow, there were lots of cool and funny entries so coming joint second is really a nice surprise . Congratulations to Oky and The Penguin! With regards to the exclusive tag - I'll take any, I'll even have a pink one if necessary, the last thing I want to do is get into an argument with The Penguin, he might hit me with his umbrella! Thanks to everyone who gave me a vote (especially Brickdoctor who kind of championed my entry) and huge thanks to Pandora for hosting the contest

Astromech Workplace Contest: Targonnian Pursuit
Praiter Yed replied to Flobnomdob's topic in Watto's Junkyard
I really like all your vehicles, they are a good match to your reference material (especially the tripod) but I can't help feeling that your entry would be improved if it were held together by some kind of vignette or even just a Lego base. -
Astromech Workplace Contest: Bossk's new job

Thank you, maybe only the farming of intelligent animals is this cruel. Cheers. I'm not a huge fan of TCW but I have seen that episode so I could well have been influenced by it without realising Thanks KDM! Again, your Kid Flare MCW entry could well have been a subconscious influence on me as I did see it - in fact, he got my vote Updated 1st post with (hopefully) the final pictures. -
That's a really nice brick-built astromech Dapper D2 and the speeder is pretty cool too!
-
I also haven't done any trades here yet but I am after another one or two TC-14s and I have both a shirtless Maul or Chrome Vader which I would be willing to trade.

What was the last movie you watched?

With the possible exceptions of 'Live and Let Die' and 'The Man with The Golden Gun' , aren't all Roger Moore's Bond films terrible? -
Being largely ignorant of the EU, I'd never heard of this ship - it was only Danthebricks comment that made me realise you hadn't made-it-up . Well you've done a lovely job of creating it in Lego, looks a lot like the source material and the interior is great too. I particularly like the way you made the bubbles in the hot tub!

Astromech Workplace Contest: Trade Federation Battleship Bridge
Praiter Yed replied to Artizan's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Oh my that Astromech has taken an oil leak under those panels . Seriously though, nice build, some good SNOT work throughout and I really like the way you've used the cylinders as columns, nice to see TC-14 in her rightful place too. Good luck in the contest. -
Astromech Workplace Contest: Bossk's new job
Praiter Yed replied to Praiter Yed's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Thanks Danthebrick. I can't say I'm too fussed about impressing George Lucas, unless he's voting in the contest of course Thanks Dapper-D2. These are some very nasty astromechs. Thanks Rook. There's lots of tough competition for everyone, who knows which way the vote will swing? Cheers Brickmamba. I thought the contest ended this weekend but I've just realised there's loads of time left. -
Astromech Workplace Contest: Bossk's new job

Thanks Purple Paradox. I'm pleased you think I got the balance right - I was soo tempted to start adding trees then I decided it would be stupid, the Wookies would just climb them to get at Bossk . I based the layout on a mixture of the Minifig Encyclopedia and the LSW Visual Dictionary -
Bought 9493 X-Wing last Friday from Argos for £39.99 the next day it was back up to £49.99 - lucky timing

Bossk's Wookie Farm. Bossk currently has two 51E series astromechs helping out on his farm, R0-51E and LA5-51E... High-res images in my flickr. WIPs and more in my Brickshelf

Seems there is now discussion on whether The Hobbit will become a trilogy! Not sure how to feel about that really, I've never bothered to read the appendices in The Hobbit or LOTR so I'm unsure about how much extra material is available (or even what Gandalf gets up to while he leaves the the group in The Hobbit). I think I'd prefer to get some nicely extended DVD releases - IMHO the extended LOTR trilogy is far superior to the theatrical release.

Almost forgot about voting in this . Thanks for some of the comments on my entry and thanks to Pandora for organising the fun Artanis I - 1 point I Am Will Gibson - 1 point Keil - 1 point

Part of the blog footage that was showed at Comic Con has been released online... It's quite long but enjoyable and lost of cool sets!
