  1. Could be. I was referring to this ad, which looks like it's out of the US calendar. TLG doesn't have the May calendar on their website, though, at least for the US.
  2. That's interesting. The snippet of the ad that was posted here a couple days ago said May 3rd to the 5th, just like in the past couple years.
  3. S@H will give it to you if you spend x-amount of dollars/pounds/euros/etc. from May 3rd to May 5th. (They say that this money has to be spent on Star Wars sets, but in the past, we've been able to buy other themes and still get the promo. I got TC-14 a couple years ago even though the only thing I bought was the Kingdoms Joust.) If you miss that, they might be available as giveaways at events or parts of other promotions, but there's no guarantee.
  4. Yes, that would've been I.
  5. Saying "Back on topic" or "to stay on topic" doesn't excuse an off-topic post; it merely demonstrates that you know you're off-topic and you decide to make the post anyways. It seems clear to me that this discussion has now become one of the meaning of the Rule of Two and of KotOR sets you want to see, which would belong in the Star Wars topic in Culture and Multimedia and in the Future Star Wars Sets topic, respectively.
  6. Welcome to EB. We don't allow members to join just for the purpose of selling LEGO, which is why you are not allowed to post a topic in the Buy/Sell/Trade/Finds forum until you've made a hundred posts. Please don't post these types of topics in other forums. Thanks!
  7. What does the Rule of Two have to do with 2014 rumors? I know it started somewhere in the Revan discussion, but I don't understand why it's relevant.
  8. My opinion remains that if given the entire EU to pick a promotional exclusive minifig out of, Revan is not the logical popular choice when compared to the Maras and Thrawns of the EU. But, as Pie said (in the 2014 Rumors topic), Revan may be the safe choice as far as a more recent canon character, with a lot of the better-known EU characters' canon status threatened by Episode VII. I'm sure this'll please quite a few KotOR fans, but I have no interest in it. By the way, in the past, we've had discussion topics for the May 4th promotions separate from the rumors topic and availability topic, simply because it's such a big event. I've edited the title so that this topic is more of an overall discussion of all the promotions, not just the exclusive minifig.
  9. Lovely work as always, markus, especially with all the different textures on the hull of this model.
  10. Um, no. This topic has become a discussion of whether or not Darth Revan is an appropriate choice for an exclusive minifigure, a discussion both on-topic and unrelated to the sarcasm discussion of a few days ago. Thanks for the confirmation!
  11. That final composite does look good, Bricksandparts. Which reminds me, Flipz: hurry up with your quest already, if not only so that I can show off my Cathedral of Mercutio sets!
  12. I'm not saying Revan is a bad choice, nor am I saying that everything has to be OT-era; I'm saying that if I were told to pick any character out of the EU to become an exclusive promotional minifig, Revan would not seem the most logical choice to me.
  13. Lovely work. It's always great to see a truly LEGOLAND-esque sculpture like this. I'm not sure how close of a match the paint is (It looks like a slightly more reddish shade of the Gold Lacquer color.), but it looks fantastic.
  14. We — or at least I — am not saying that Mara Jade necessarily should've been the minifig chosen (even if I would love that), I'm just using her as an example of one of the other characters which I would've chosen before Revan to be an EU minifig. It's not a "Mara vs. Revan" situation; it's a case of Revan not being the most appropriate choice.
  15. Regarding canonicity, I think it depends on how much Episode VII overwrites, but yeah, unfortunately, you might be right. They did, after all, kill off Mara Jade without even telling Timothy Zahn, according to Wookieepedia. As far as a minifigure is concerned, I wouldn't think canonicity is a huge issue, but then again, that's hard to judge since it's been a few years since we got White Boba and Shadow ARF (and Chrometrooper, but that was marketed and labeled as a recoloring, not a separate character), so TLG might've changed their mind. So...good point. I suppose Revan might not be the logical popular choice for an EU character, but he might be the safe choice. *sigh* Ugh, Disney.
  16. Not exactly my point. My point is that that selection of figures doesn't cover all of the EU, so it's not a valid comparison of Revan to the rest of the EU. None of those figures are even from the post-Jedi EU. And a McQuarrie concept is not part of the EU — it's just that: a concept. It's not part of any storyline and it's not even a canon character. That's entirely beside the point. By that logic, we should all be asking for minifigs of The Ones and the Celestials. In-universe significance has nothing to do with how popular or well-known a character is among fans (and non-fans who might've heard of them).
  17. You should be able to see a new forum above all the other ones in the main index, and within that forum, you should be able to see this topic, which I think should answer most of your questions.
  18. Hasbro can label it whatever they want to; it's still not a comparison of all the major areas of the EU. Even assuming that you're right and any difference in popularity is in fact based solely upon amount of time since introduction, if we assume that the characters are otherwise equal in all aspects, then the mere fact that other characters have been around longer and in more publications than Revan makes them better choices for an EU LEGO minifig.
  19. Oh, interesting; I never tried that. Makes sense, though, that just booting up in Windows would work even if running it in a virtual machine didn't. Right, but LDD2PovRay is Windows-only.
  20. The other exclusive figures listed there are an OT character, a background OT character, four CW characters, and a concept art character — not exactly a comparison of Revan and Malgus to the rest of the EU.
