  1. Agreed. It's just a matter of courtesy. I agree with Flipz in that certain items need to be 're-flavored' before they can be reused, but I think that's something we'd all do anyways to make items fit our quests' plots and characters. (Unless, of course, the characters themselves are being reused also, but then I think it'd be obvious to all of us that we'd need to ask permission first.) Once they're generic weapons and artifcats or re-flavored weapons and artifacts, well, I think it'd be unfair for a QM to prevent another QM from stealing the mechanics of an item. I don't think there's anything wrong with stealing and re-flavoring an item as long as it's Sandy-approved. The original creator doesn't really have a case to prevent that if his storyline elements aren't also being taken, except in the occasional case when the item and its associated powers represent a major point of a storyline. But then they'd probably be unique/powerful enough that Sandy wouldn't approve them for use in the new item.
  2. "More expensive figurine" doesn't mean "more popular"; it just means that the maker decided to limit the availability or use certain materials or in a certain size or market or package or otherwise make the product seem to be worth more money.
  3. Roughly four thousand years before the events of the Original Trilogy.
  4. Not necessarily when it comes to virtual LEGO. LDD2PovRay is Windows-only, and so is SR-3D. Last time I tried it on a virtual machine (which admittedly was a while ago), SR-3D wouldn't run, and of course rendering takes a while and forces you to set aside more resources to the virtual machine.
  5. Fair enough. I know what you mean, and the choice based on personal aesthetic preference makes sense if you don't have much experience with any of the characters. But ignoring the usefulness of pieces, based on which choice would appeal to more people because it's a character they want, I still find Revan to be an odd choice next to the Maras and Thrawns of the EU.
  6. I'd say Shadows of the Empire is loved more. Thrawn Trilogy probably as well. This long-time fan is much, much more fond of the Thrawn trilogy than Shadows of the Empire, actually, and I suspect the same is true for most other fans who've read both, but granted, it's not as though I've polled people on it or anything. I'm also in the "Thrawn Trilogy over Shadows of the Empire, both much preferred over Knights of the Old Republic" camp.My way of looking at it: If you ran a poll asking people which exclusive minifigure they'd rather have, and the choices were, say, Darth Revan, Bastilla Shan, Mara Jade, and Grand Admiral Thrawn, who'd win? By which I don't mean to start a "What minifig do you want?" discussion — it's a rhetorical question; I merely mean to illustrate the main reason I find Revan to be an odd choice of all the EU characters that could've been picked.
