  3. "Master Johon, the last Mutterfly, please." I attack Death's Rose B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Johon Namyrra Uq
  4. I agree to some extent. Characters like Xizor, Isard, and Daala were excellent, not Force-sensitive primary antagonists in novels that I enjoyed, while powerful Force-using villains like Abeloth showed up in books that I didn't enjoy. However, those villains were all powerful through military strategy, political influence, or both, and too much of that will just repeat the mistake that the prequels with all those Senate scenes. And yes, I know what the PT advocates are going to say: that the political intrigue added depth to the storyline of the Republic falling apart. Still not very exciting. Stuff like that is fine in a three- to five hundred page novel, but not in a two hour movie.Don't get me wrong, I'm not against having that type of character as a supporting villain, especially if he's a competent military leader involved in a big space battle, but I think there still needs to be some Big Bad to have a lightsaber battle with. I do think that Thrawn himself would be an excellent choice of villain, because he's more of the evil genius type than the politically powerful type. He seems like the villain who would go into that mano-a-mano battle with the heroes and spring something utterly ingenious that you never saw coming. Then you'd be left thinking that he's foreseen everything just like Palpatine did in Jedi. It's also worth noting that the Thrawn Trilogy did have its Force-sensitive villain, C'Baoth, and he never seemed like a tiresome, "just another Dark Jedi" sort of villain. (Which could just be because he was introduced relatively early to the EU.) But overall, yeah, I'd prefer if they stayed away from the politically powerful villains. Being a Thrawn Trilogy fanboy just makes me believe that that particular book series would still work out.
  5. Much deserved. Congratulations, AC!
  6. OoC: Not sure what roleplaying you're referring to. I just told you what I thought you should do in-character instead of out-of-character to avoid having an entirely out-of-character post. I suppose I'm glad I could make you laugh through my perceived roleplaying, though. I attack Death's Rose B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Namyrra Uq Johon
  7. The exclusive minifig usually isn't revealed immediately; they just make the spot where it would be in the cover blank.
  8. It sort of felt like it before, but this is the point where I now definitely think they're milking the concept of the LEGO kid's guide/dictionary/encyclopedia with an exclusive minifig. (Not that it's surprising, just mildly annoying.)
  9. "Master Johon, I recommend that you avoid repeating — Death's Rose A is already dead, and you have no immunity to the Special of Death's Rose B. I suggest that you switch to Mutterfly B."
  10. I don't see the point of this topic. We already have a topic for sales and availability and multiple topics for listing what you've bought.
  11. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter!
  12. OoC: Awesomeness. "Master Johon, Miss Uq: you'll deal more Damage than I; both of you attack Death's Rose A." I use a Grand Potion on Namyrra from the Back Row. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Johon Namyrra Uq
  13. "Good point. "Mutterfly A currently falls into position to get a Free Hit on the second hero in the Order, though. You'll have to take an extra 2 Damage from Free Hits, but I don't think that's a huge difference." OoC: Order of Actions posted above revised to be: Docken, Johon, Namyrra.
  14. And Luke's 'saber is also blue; he had the green one on the DSII. (Granted, you can't tell what color it is on the Revenge of the Jedi poster, and the 'saber was originally blue in Jedi, if I remember correctly, before they decided that green showed up better in the Tatooine scenes; but TLG doesn't usually make references to concept art like that.)
  15. "That should work; it'll only take out Shutterfly A, but the rest will lose a good amount of their Health." "Master Johon, Sealed won't have any negative effects on you; take on Mutterfly B." I attack Death's Rose A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "Free Hits will be 46 base Damage, 28 base Damage, and 32 base Damage. Hang in there, Miss Uq; hopefully, we can heal you next Round." Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Johon Namyrra Uq
  16. Let's make a club... Same here. This makes so much sense that I am now even more sad than I was before about the fact that this isn't going to be the Thrawn Trilogy.
  17. Did Bombs get buffed to 10 base Damage, or are they still 5 base Damage?
  18. "Miss Uq, you have no effects that should impact the battle if distributed to the enemies, so you should take on one of the Splatterflies. Master Johon, to start, take on the Flutterfly; if you're Enamored, then there are other targets that you can attack." I attack Death's Rose A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. "Free Hits should be 43 base Damage, 38 base Damage, and 38 base Damage." Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Johon Namyrra Uq
  19. This type of topic is a better fit for the Community forum; I'll move it there...
  20. I don't see why that would be necessary. We already have Future Star Wars Sets for the purpose of discussing sets you think we might see in the future, and we have the Disney buys out Lucasfilm topic for discussion on the impact of Disney's takeover. The subjects of both already cover the future of the license; there's no need for another topic about what you think will happen to LEGO Star Wars in the future.
  21. Well, we all knew it was going to happen, especially after the announcement a couple weeks ago in which toymakers were told to stop making EU products. Like everything else Disney's doing, I'm not really a supporter, but I'm also not entirely against it. If they do something I don't like, I'll just do my best to ignore it as much as I can, just like I do with TCW and parts of the PT. They can call whatever they want canon or non-canon and replace things if they want to; honestly, at this point I've stopped caring. I have my own view of what the ideal SW canon is, and Disney can't make me take things like Heir to the Empire out of it. Normally discussion like this would go into Culture and Multimedia, but in this case, I think it's appropriate for the big "Disney Buys Lucasfilm" topic. I'll merge it into there......and done.
  22. "It doesn’t matter where you are in the depth of space and time, there is one thing you’ll always need: a home to come back to." There are only five days left in the Home Sweet Home contest! Build a home for your favorite sci-fi theme, in one of two size categories. There are three prizes up for grabs, including a copy of 70816 Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!. Read the details over in the Sci-Fi Forum.
  23. I lead the party to the Butterfly Plains.
  24. "Makes sense to me."I hand the Nostrum, one Remedy, one Venom, one Potion, and one Smoke Bomb to Namyrra, I hand one Remedy, one Venom, one Potion, and one Smoke Bomb to Johon, and I keep one Remedy, one Venom, one Potion, and two Smoke Bombs for myself. "Is there anything else that needs to be taken care of before the next battle?"
  25. I think it should be partial-flee. There's no reason that someone has to run away just because a cloud of smoke temporarily surrounds the party. Smoke Bombs are cheap enough already that this won't be nerfing Rogues too much (by making their ability less unique). But at the same time, I wouldn't mind if there was some clause along the lines of, "If you choose not to flee when a Smoke Bomb is thrown, you lose your turn (because you can't see the enemy), and all enemies get Free Hits on the remaining heroes (because presumably they're outside the cloud of smoke that's supposed to be obscuring the area where the heroes were, and they can attack the general area, and you can't see their attack coming)." That should deter the use of Smoke Bombs to cheaply get the weaker heroes or the NPCs you're supposed to protect out of that boss battle.
