  1. I wouldn't mind taking two consecutive turns.
  2. You mix and match parts from the remains of the two onagers. Reconstructed Elven Onager Requires one operator Level: 5 Health: 12/12 Ammunition: Stones You realize that while that is possible, there is only one catapult mount on the tower. As the Onager is not wheeled, you will have to construct it facing one direction (North, South, East, or West), and it will only be able to fire in that direction for the entirety of the next battle. (you also realize that this consequence would occur no matter where you place the Onager) QM Note:Do note that elves could use alloys containing magical metals and metals other than iron (or cobalt or nickel, and they in all probability have no knowledge of gadolinium, for that matter), and they use a lot of gear made of materials other than metal, so there's no guarantee that this giant electromagnet will have that much effect. Also, it could affect your own attacks. (for example, by bending the path of arrows, causing Rangers' attacks to become Misses) In addition, Arasmyth would have to provide it with a constant supply of electricity, expending 1 Ether per turn. You have to use bones from various different bodies, but you manage to put together five complete skeletons. Skeleton Decoy x5 – Can be used to absorb enemy Free Hits for up to 20 points of Damage before it breaks.
  3. Haven't read it either, but I agree. Time travel is something a series has to be built around (as in Back to the Future) and not added to. (as in the 2009 Star Trek, which wasn't that bad, but still seemed a little confusing) If I remember correctly, it was a giant chunk of precious metal. Even if it failed as a psychological object to rally around, it could still provide some much-needed funds for the Rebellion. (though it turned out to be a fake)
  4. Arthur, you see a fair amount of movement to the south, small amounts of movement to the north and east, and a MegaBlokin' ton of movement to the west.
  5. You recall that you have spikes in front of the West Wall, South-East Wall, and East Wall, preventing siege weapons from approaching the wall. You have a camouflaged pit in front of the West Wall which has failed to fool any elf. You have two rock-poury-things, one water-poury-thing, and one oil-poury-thing that no one really remembers the location of.Looking through your telescope, you see movement all around you.
  6. That was actually in reference to KimT, who had that in his sig and resigned the day I posted the update.
  7. He's not an elf with a boyfriend already on the Quest.
  8. Current Sign-ups to Join Quest 17: The Lion's Share: Alf Gregory, Level 13.5 Barbarian (played by Bricksandparts) Helm Delvergrow, Level 1 Barbarian (played by Sloop) Erik Tyrvarr, Level 1 Barbarian (played by Myrddyn) Elgar Gligin, Level 10 Ranger (played by Jedi master Brick) Haldor Skovgaard, Level 16.5 Shaman (played by Scorpiox) Lawrence Boomingham, Level 15.5 Paladin (played by Zepher) Durkon, Level 1 Mage (played by RPGer) Alexis Fenral, Level 19 Evoker (played by Masked Builder)
  9. QM Note:Apologies if this wasn't clear; the upcoming wave is the final one.
  10. I think he means the WP of the elemental weapon can still be applied to another element of which the user owns the gem, and the elemental powers of the weapon itself are not necessarily applied. (i.e., Arthur can do 11 Ice Elemental Damage at Level 6 using his WP: 5 staff and Opal, even though the staff is Wood Elemental)
  11. QM Note:Isn't that supposed to be a secret? Ah, well, I'll tell you anyways. Yes, there's only one more wave to go. This Quest's gone on way too long, anyways. I didn't think it would be possible to create a Quest using more forum pages than Quest 4, but chances are I'm going to do it.
  12. I feel dumb. I thought we didn't have any Mages wielding elemental weapons, and there was one right in my own Quest the whole time! I'll go ahead and treat it that way, then.
  13. Have we ever had a Mage wield a weapon imbued with a gem before? I don't remember.I guess it would make more sense to say that the staff can deal ranged Ice Elemental Damage in the form of Spells, and deal melee Wood Elemental Damage in the form of whacking enemies with the staff. (and thus not costing Ether) Or that it does melee Wood Elemental Damage and ranged Wood or Wood+Ice Elemental Damage.
  14. Althior, your Horse can't find William's '@ss', so it just kicks the MegaBloks out of a particularly large muscle located in the lower torso for 1 Damage. Party: Althior Emorith, Level 16 Mage (K-nut) *Party Leader* *Mounted* Power: 21 Health: 20/20 Ether: 11/20 Defense: 5 Gold: 10 Inventory: Dragoro (WP:5), Robe of the Elven Warlock (SP: 3), Makeshift Shield (SP: 1; can take Damage 1 more time), Topaz (Lightning), Amethyst (Darkness), Ruby (Fire), Sapphire (Wind), Garnet (Earth), Opal (Ice), Aquamarine (Water), Emerald (Wood), Diamond (Light), Potions (2), Tonic, Shovel, Bedroll, Smelling Salts, Mead, Nostrum, Remedy, Horse, Fire Bomb Xander Unth'or, Level 11.5 Barbarian (posades) *Party Second-in-Command* *Mounted* Power: 19 Health: 18/18 Gold: 40 Inventory: Pongcanis Club (WP: 8), Enigmatic Hammer (WP: 3), Makeshift Spear (WP: 1; can deal Damage 5 more times), Robe of the Pongcanis Champion (WP: +1Front Row; SP: +1Back Row), Mead, Potions (2), Grand Potion, Phoenix Essence, Horse, Fire Bomb William Harkenshire, Level 9 Ranger (volcanicpanik) *Mounted* Power: 13 Health: 13/14 Gold: 15 Inventory: Mockthril Longbow (WP: 4; Fire), Makeshift Shield (SP: 1; can take Damage 1 more times), Makeshift Spear (WP: 1; can deal Damage 5 more times), Potion (3),Remedy, Smoke Bomb, Bedroll, Mead, Smelling Salts, Pickaxe, Horse Alexandre le Chevalier, Level 6 Knight (Capt.JohnPaul) Power: 7 Health: 15/15 Gold: 15 Inventory: Standard-Issue Crossbow (WP: 1), Sword (WP: 3), Buckler Shield (SP: 2), Bedroll, Potions (2), Fire Bombs (3) Luke, Level 15.5 Sage (controlled by K-nut) *Pacifist* Power: 20 Health: 30/30 Ether: 20/22 Gold: 0 Inventory: Healing Staff (WP: 5), Wooden Staff (WP: 1), Diamond Count Lewis Knyghton, Level 10.5 Engineer (controlled by Flipz) Power: 13 Health: 18/18 Gold: 0 Inventory: Spatha (WP: 3) Isabella del Toboso, Level 5 Rogue (Dharkan) Power: 8 Health: 11/11 Gold: 25 Inventory: Golden Dagger (WP: 3), Standard-Issue Sword (WP: 1), Venom, Potions (2), Bedroll, Fire Bombs (2) Arthur Justus Regulus VII, Level 6 Mage (Flipz) Power: 11 Health: 10/10 Ether: 7/10 Gold: 5 Inventory: Staff of the Elven Warlock (WP: 5; Wood Elemental), Serpentine Staff (WP: 3), Opal (Ice), Potions (2), Bedroll, Telescope Mini Merlin Trebuchet Requires one operator Level: 20 Health: 20/20 Ammunition: Stones Note: Because it uses a sling, the Mini Merlin Trebuchet may not fire multiple projectiles. Arasmyth RuGard, Level 10.5 Mage (Kadabra) Power: 14 Health: 14/14 Ether: 12/14 Gold: 8 Inventory: Sapphire Staff (WP: 4; Wind), Robe of Magi (SP: 1), Scroll of Sealing, Sapphire (Wind), Topaz (Lightning), Emerald (Wood), Potions (3), Smoke Bomb, Water Bomb Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha Operated by Arasmyth Level: 5 Health: 15/15 Ammunition: Explosive Arrows (2 Turns-worth) - The Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha will target every enemy in front of a selected wall. (example statement of action: "Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha targets enemies in front of the East Wall") Explosive arrows have a 50% chance per target of exploding violently and imparting a Burning effect, causing the target to lose 2 Health per Round until the fire is extinguished. Note: The Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha must take a Turn after each attack to reload - this need can be eliminated by assigning a second Operator to the weapon. Slice N Dice Blockade Requires one operator Level: 1/15 Health: 15/15 Ammunition: Makeshift Swords Note: The Slice N Dice Blockade starts at Level 1, and gains 1 Level for every Turn a hero operates it, with a maximum possible Level of 15. If possible, the Blockade loses a Level for every Turn no one operates it. The Slice N Dice Blockade cannot move, and can only melee attack. QM Note: Flipz, since you're a Mage with an elemental weapon, I'm going to assume that you have to use the Staff of the Elven Warlock to cast Wood Elemental Damage, and you have to use the Serpentine Staff to cast Ice Elemental Damage. When you get back to the Hall, you can take the Emerald out of the staff. (or trade the staff to a Cleric, which was the reason I made it elemental in the first place)
  15. I think this is the same problem as the one reported here. Do you have any PMs saved as drafts?
  16. Welcome to EB, ibobba! Topics advertising sales belong in the BSTF Forum. However, until you make more posts (a hundred, I believe), you can't start a topic there, so consider joining some of the many discussions on EB, first.
  17. You see a Barbarian, Spag Bitterstalk, stumble into the Hall, followed by a pikeman wearing a uniform most of you have only heard of until now. "Stress has apparently rendered this hero incapable of completing the quest." Spag Bitterstalk, Level 5 Barbarian (Kenghis Ghan) Power: 8 Health: 12/12 Gold: 5 Inventory: Crude Splinterwood Club (WP: 3), Standard-Issue Halberd (WP: 1;Total Damage doubled against mounted enemies and enemies scaling walls, Potions (2), Mead "We will require one hero to replace him, preferable a Knight or Barbarian of around Level 5. I will return to choose that hero on March 24th or when I receive word that the elves are launching their next attack, whichever comes first." With that, you watch the pikeman pin a piece of parchment to the Quest Board and exit the Hall.
  18. QM Note: Alexandre (Capt.JohnPaul) is already in the South-West Tower, so I assume he moves down a level. Arasmyth RuGard (Hiyaaaaaa Hwacha) vs. elves to the south - Critical Hit Althior, you're too distracted by Finnegan's retreat, and Elite C takes the opportunity to Take Cover and Return Fire. Spag, Assassin A flicks a dagger at the Slice N Dice, but since it has no head, it merely takes 8 Damage. Luke, you conjure a Magical Vortex that deals 1 Light Elemental Damage to all enemies, and also is powerful enough to restore every hero to full Health. William, Elite C fires an arrow that glances off your shield and into your arm for 7 Damage. Xander, you move out of danger. Arthur, you Magic Bursts, spraying every elf and causing a base of 8 Ice Elemental Damage, killing numerous elves. Elite B, however, crouches behind his shield and fires an arrow in a high arc over the walls that skims your leg for 1 Damage. Isabella, you move closer to the battle. Count Lewis, you repair the Slice N Dice. Alexandre, you, too, move closer to the action. Arasmyth, you fire another salvo that leaves Elite C on the verge of defeat, though Elite B hides behind his shield and deals 2 Damage to the Hwacha. "Onwards! Victory is at hand!" Elite C succumbs to the fire, and the battle continues... Party Leader, how will the spoils of the battle be divided? Staff of the Elven Warlock (WP: 5; Wood Elemental; suitable for Mages and Clerics) - This staff, hand-carved from wood horrifically cut from a still-living ent, is adorned with a flawless Emerald. Robe of the Elven Warlock (SP: 3; suitable for Mages and Clerics) - Crafted from the finest elven fabric, this robe is enchanted to protect its wearer. Emerald - This shimmering green gem enables the harnessing of the element of Wood. Potions x6 - Restores 10 Health to the target. 40 Gold Fire Bombs x4 - Causes 5 Fire Elemental Damage to all enemies, doubled if the target is weak to Fire. "Sirs, Barbarian Spag looks paralyzed by the stress of the battles. I've ordered a wagon to return him to Eubric. Also, the Trebuchet seems to be working better, as it can now be fired by only one hero. "SPAG BITTERSTALK HAS LEFT THE PARTY!"
  19. I'll do it next battle if you guys want it.
  20. pedro beat me to saying it, but this is an idea I've been meaning to execute for a while and never got around to, so... Remembering KimT's Star Wars Moderatorship, the "Stay on target!" emoticon:
  21. It's very sad to see you step down, KimT. I remember when I first joined EB, and I only paid attention to the Star Wars forum, so I thought that you and Bonaparte were the only Staff members. Good to hear that you're now working for our favorite company, though. If I may ask, what are you doing for TLG? And, in the end, the Rule of Two is preserved. I'm not sure, but I believe that, technically, he works for Merlin Entertainment.
  22. Will do. Which is why, at the risk of putting a nail in my own coffin, when a suspect accuses another suspect, it's probably a better move in this situation to go after the accusing suspect rather than the accused suspect.
  23. Overall, this model looks great. At $180, though, I think I'll be passing. Very tempted, but passing. MegaBlokin' new Train interests. Price per part is great, though a lot of those parts are white, so that might be the reason. (and it also decreases the usefulness of the parts for someone like myself who will inevitably eventually part the set out if I get it)
