LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7 poll
Brickdoctor replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm torn between the Aztec Spearman, the Space Marine, and the Shadow Knight, but, ultimately, being a sci-fi fan, my vote went to the Space Marine. I'm not that tired of collecting CMFs, and I still enjoy them, though maybe that's because I don't make that much of an effort to hunt them down and because I don't collect every one. -
There is a good chance, I'll grant you that. He pretty much already did two Days ago. He's still alive because the Town has more important things to do and the Scum won't kill someone who's being a distraction and an obstacle for the Town.

I Googled "online image editors with layers" and found Phoenix and Splashup, which seem pretty good as far as I can tell.

Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted. -
This make sense. Especially if the effect is tied in to the normal die roll results, since realistically, you have to fire a shot in order to Miss.
-
You weren't the obvious target. You've made no significant contributions so far as I can tell. The only thing that stood out to me was your circular reasoning about double bluffs on Day 2, which I think was nothing but unhelpful, distracting WIFOM. An obvious target would be somebody like Nobuo, at whose throat Norio has been for the majority of the situation, or Chieko, or maybe Tamiko or Lizzy. (though it is worth mentioning that Investigators should investigate those on whom they have no read, and I don't think you've done anything in public to give anyone a significant read on you, so you were a good target for the Investigator - probably not the obvious target) In any case, if you are lynched and come up Town, we then can use that information to hunt down Scum. Statistically, we should be able to lose at least two Townies for every Scum killed and still win this situation. This is a team win situation, so I don't see much loss in lynching you, even if you come up Town.
-
We don't know that, yet. For now, I'm assuming that the Special Agents are neutral/Independent, but for all we know, they might actually have been told they were Renegades and could choose sides.
-
Ugh. Lost two Townies in one Night. Good to know that Isamu and Minoru weren't Townies, but, at the same time, they weren't Scum, either.

Heroica RPG - Quest#14: The Family Recipe
Brickdoctor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
I don't see any reason not to take a different path. I guess there could be some sort of huge enemy that would Knock us all Out, but I do still have a Smoke Bomb. -
Yakuza Family - Confirmation and Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to badboytje88's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Here's hoping that purple snot means Independent or that badboy's just messing with us, and not that there actually was an alignment called 'Renegade'... Also, the ten-day trip that I mentioned when I signed up starts tomorrow for me, but I'll still be on EB at least once a day. (a real day, not an in-game Day) -

Shall we return to the fountain? -
In all seriousness, it's a good idea to balance things out a bit. Not as realistic, I think, since in real life the shield would be in the Back Row, too, but it'd be a little tweak to keep things balanced, I support it.

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sounds good! Landscaping's not my strong point, but I have a couple ideas. Now, to get them in the brick faster than I did for Challenge 2... (which I didn't build for ) It says the Avalonian key is hidden in Avalonia, and you have to find the key of your guild, so... -
And I'm sure there won't be any objections if some Classic Space minifigs are added.
-
You shall not pass! It just had to be said. Really nice work here, Taz. It seems that no matter how many techniques are developed to build castle walls, a new one is always being discovered, and the walls here caught my eye. Great representation of rough stonework. I love the use of the Heroica doors as wooden hatches (for lack of a better word at the moment) in the windows, too.
-
Personally, I really like the smooth, retro artwork look of this banner, It's one of my favorite EB banners. That being said, if I remember correctly, this one's from before the software update to IPB 3, so maybe it could use an update to the correct size, with new minifigs.
-
Nice work. The colors remind me more of the Windows logo than of a rock band, but... Are those 3L bars for drumsticks? It's a singer. Obviously, that means it should be Threepio.

I had always assumed that Scrolls simply allowed you to cast spells that dealt effects instead of Damage, so, yeah, the chance thing. If the normal action (Critical Hit, Hit, and Shields and Counters, depending on the class) would have resulted in a magical attack that would deal Damage, then the Scroll is successfully used.

LDD 4.2 problem
Brickdoctor replied to escortmad79's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
escortmad says he can enter the file but not edit it, so I assume he can find it. In any case, LE Mode doesn't need to be unlocked in 4.2, so he shouldn't need to edit it. -

Should've gone back to Sayid and told him that Akbar was selling Remedies for 10 Gold. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Brickdoctor replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They do. If you go to a Factory Tour at LEGOLAND California (not sure if they have those at other parks), you can see how they print the LEGO logo onto a 1x4x3 panel in three layers, white, red, and then black. -

Brickdoctor replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That just looks like a slight slip of the printing machine. Looks like the pupils are more centered, the black outline of the eye is lower down, covering up part of the white area and making the eyes look smaller, and the black line defining the separation of the lips has slipped down also, making it look less like she's smiling. On the head on the left, the white tatoos on the forehead have slipped upward, and the curve of the piece has caused the print to become stretched out. -
That's awesome, smokebelch. Old-fashioned me would've preferred yellow minifigs, but it's still awesome. As far as desktops, I think I prefer the Death Star Rising shot. It's darker, less colorful, and less distracting. (it's also all-black in that top-right corner where my files appear by default)
