General Discussion and Announcements
Brickdoctor replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Flipz did say that he didn't plan to pitch it to Draggy for at least a couple months. He also said that he's got some new mechanics that he's going to test in real life with some friends. It was actually TheBoyWonder who called it a sci-fi version of Heroica, not Flipz.Personally, I'll withhold any judgment until Flipz has thoroughly tested his concept and pitched it to Draggy. -
Eurobrick's 4th LDD RCB
Brickdoctor replied to Piratedave84's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Indeed. I've been following the PM conversations, and I don't think anyone's been that late turning in their model. Piratedave's had a couple issues with pictures, and, speaking from experience, color correction is neither easy nor quick. -
LDD Design Challenge #5
Brickdoctor replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It shouldn't be possible. Physically, this technique isn't possible with the new macaroni. If it is possible, it's got to be a bug in LDD.In other news, looking back through this topic has given me a glimpse of how n00bish my posts sounded when my account was two days old. -
GM Note: I think we've decided to treat this as if, for the purposes of calculating Damage, Level is set to 0 in the Arena, Power remains WP+Level, and Power is the stat used in place of WP as listed in the rules. (with WP being listed there for simplicity's sake) So, in short, Power is WP, so the diadem's effects will apply.

I agree with that. Among other things, his art convinced Anthony Daniels to play Threepio, and I can't imagine Star Wars without Daniels.

QM Note:LDD hates me and my illegal connections. And I can't stand rubber bands or string in LDD or LDraw. -

Then the air wouldn't be breathable. But I guess that goes back to my theory of the ginourmous life-support system. (which I still think is utterly ridiculous) Any way you try to explain it, there's still something that's ridiculous. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Brickdoctor replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note:I, uh, took it apart. I don't plan for it to be in any pictures in any later waves. It's pushed down into the river, and the barrels act as outriggers to stabilize it and help keep it afloat. The panel on the front is dropped, and metal spikes dig into the far bank. Then ropes are used to tie it down to stakes on the near bank so it doesn't wash away, and there's another separate panel (that was cut off in the final picture) that has holes so it can be slid over those poles at the back end of the launcher, in case the bridge needs to be lengthened. I guess it's more of a mobile bridge than a true bridge launcher. -
Let's see... Once, I dreamed that I found a prototype LEGOLAND on an island in the Pacific. Other than that one big roller coaster that all LEGOLANDs lack, it sold Stormtroopers by the pound at its PaB wall. Woke up just as I went down the big drop on that roller coaster. Another time, I dreamed that TLG re-released every Classic Castle set. Woke up while I was trying to read the price tag. (because reading small print pretty much never works in dreams) There was also one dream where I found a bunch of old sets (mostly now-rare OT Star Wars sets from before the fleshie era and Forestman sets) on sale at some hole-in-the-wall store. I started opening the boxes as I started to wake up, and they were all filled with MegaBloks and other clone brand sets. Yes, I have a lot of dreams about buying older sets or huge loads of minifigs. I have had a couple dreams where I was on EB or some other LEGO site, but I don't really remember the specifics.

Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Brickdoctor replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note:Sure. It's a hunk of rope, wood, wheels, and barrels, but you can loot it. Remember, heroes can simply unlock doors in towers and lock them behind them. You will, however, have to raise the portcullis if you want to bring in the siege weapons. It will take a Turn for someone to raise it and another Turn to lower it. -
Rest in peace, Ralph McQuarrie.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Brickdoctor replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The bird-whale dude claims that atmospheric pressure is so high, it could crush a spaceship. The atmosphere is held around the planet (as with any planet) by gravity. If you want more atmosphere, you need more gravity. -
Actually, they're pretty much guaranteed to survive this battle. The remaining elves have no way into the fort other than the rope dangling off the West Wall. They can all retreat into the fort, kill Warlock A, cut the rope, and camp out in the fort while the ranged heroes shoot at the elves. (Warlock C will be able to shoot back, but he shouldn't do too much Damage - they will have to leave the Slice N Dice and Hwacha outside, though, unless they want to risk opening the portcullis)
-
I think it's always been fair game; you just need to ask before you include something so rare. It's really just a double Poison, renamed so it would make sense. It doesn't need to be listed.

I assumed that, somehow, the caves were an isolated, airtight system, with a ridiculously huge life support system to convert carbon dioxide back into oxygen. They should still be all crushed by the gravity, though. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Brickdoctor replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note:I could make it continue just to annoy you, but it can't do any Damage, back, so... QM Note:Yes. -
That's hilarious. Before editing, his original post said he liked it.

Should've gone to Akbar's and told him that Sayid was selling for 12 Gold. See if Akbar would beat that price. Though knowing Akbar, it would be a trap. -

QM Note:I had assumed that Isabella cut the rope. K-nut, do you want me to change that, since Dharkan never officially decided to do that? And to answer the question, as long as he's targeted, he won't attack you. (or if someone else comes before you to take the Free Hit) -

Time to switch to a browser worth using. Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari... I've only ever heard of problems like this on EB from users using IE.Though it's worth noting that I didn't seem to have any problem when I tried surfing EB with IE10 Beta the other day. Can't remember if I used Multi-quote. I'll have to check later. -

Lucas-physics strike again! Oh, and -
This is excellent. You've perfectly captured the Dewback in a style that looks totally LEGO.

It could be Akira's contact who's lying. I know we already lynched a Scum who claimed Role Cop, but it's not that farfetched that both you and Akira are Townies telling the truth.
-
We can do better than that. We could kill you. We just have more important things to deal with right now.Seriously, if you were actually a Townie, you might care enough to try to understand things instead of going on a 'mad dash to catch up'. No one's going to think any less of you if you take a few extra minutes to read things carefully as you catch up. That you try to hurry makes me think that you might be trying not to appear inactive - and those who try to appear inactive are usually Scum trying to stick around the middle of the pack.
