  1. That'd still save me over 6550 Gold, so if you can get your hands on thirty five Grating Stones, I'd be happy to pay you 5000 Gold for them over the course of a few years.
  2. And the effect of SP on a battle depends on how many times the enemy is attacked, so it isn't as definite a measure of how much it takes to defeat an enemy as HP is. The effectiveness of SP depends on how efficiently the enemy can be killed.
  3. My enemies often have SP, just not a lot of it. I don't see the bow being that useful for Flipz, though, who already has a Scroll of Armor Sundering. (yes, the bow doesn't require Ether, but it only decreases SP by 1, not by 5, which has much less of an impact on a battle) Considering that the way they raise WP would appear to be by sharpening something, I don't think they would work on shields. But if they do, I need you to buy some for me. Say, I don't know... thirty five?
  4. "Same plan as Round Fourteen. I've got Aepyornis A. It's okay if Master Emorith get's Slowed this Round; Aepyornis B is his. Master Rone will keep the Hungry Bear occupied while Master Unth'or attacks a Volt Ant." I attack Aepyornis A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Xander Unth'or Althior Emorith Dyric Rone
  5. I remember your original model in LDD from when you first posted it, and I'm excited to see that you've refined your design and built it with physical bricks. The nose is what stands out to me. I think the combination of the 3x12 wedge plate and the angled tiles running down the center of the nose might be a little large or exaggerated, but they do a great job of capturing the feel of the area, and I think you've perfectly translated the shapes of the craft into shapes that can be built with LEGO. The piece used on official sets is inaccurate; it's modeled after the cockpit of the Y-wing. It's one of my biggest complaints with TLG's X-wing and Snowspeeder sets.
  6. You're Stunned; I don't think you can do anything. (unless someone else gives you a Remedy; you can't perform any action yourself so the Remedy would have to come from someone else)
  7. clonefactory, on EB, we don't want members posting topics just for their CUUSOO projects; we prefer that a topic be focused on the MOC with a link to a CUUSOO entry. I've merged these two topics about your Darth Maul Cyborg.
  8. Hi chuba da naga? I need parts for Day Sixteen. Ah, yes, ah, yes. Nubian. We have lots of Midi-scale J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starships. Peedenke! Naba dee unko. Well, I don't think this one was as difficult as the Gungan Sub, but it certainly comes close. Not in building techniques - this is just layered plates - but in difficulty of capturing a shape that's both curved and sleek with thin edges at the same time. Speaking of layered plates, I've never been a fan of the technique, but I think it's the only way to capture this ship at this scale. And I think the layered plates and their slight offsets work much better for representing the curves of this ship than the angles of the Star Destroyers TLG uses them for. Also, I think I've read the script for Menace in this half a month alone more than I ever have before, just by looking for quotes I can adapt to introduce these models. 2012SWAdvent_Day16.lxf
  9. OoC: Oh, by the way, if K-Nut switches to his Sapphire and rolls Magical Vortex, I believe he can take down all the enemies except the Hungry bear. If that happens, we auto-roll with my attacking the Hungry Bear first in the Order, taking the Free Hit on Rounds I can't attack, while the other three do nothing. (or we can do the "Wait for Poison to kill last enemy" thing - either works)
  10. OoC: I don't think there's a 'x2' modifier."Master Emorith, why don't you switch to your Sapphire? It's effective against Flying and Vermin, so it'll affect both the Aepyornises and the Volt Ants if you roll Magical Vortex again."
  11. Nah, in this situation it would be more likely that Haldor would just eat a random chicken leg that he finds on the floor, which later turns out to be the only mortal object capable of defeating the witch. Arthur can give you tips on eating chicken legs, too. If I remember correctly, the party thought the Teuthisal's head hiding behind the crate looked like a chicken leg.
  12. It is possible to build it with physical bricks. (you might have to wait a little while to get the three new clip-bar connectors that just came out in the Rancor Pit, though)
  13. "Master Emorith, Aepyornis B is yours to take down. Master Rone, take the Hungry Bear. "Free Hits will be Aepyornis A + Volt Ant A, Aepyornis B, Aepyornis B, Volt Ant B." Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Xander Unth'or Althior Emorith Dyric Rone
  14. OoC: Just remembered that Xander's targeting a Volt Ant reduces the Free Hits to three; Order has been adjusted to prevent Dyric from taking a Free hit.
  15. I did this a long time ago when I was still interested in customization: Cut the legs in half. Cut two sets of arms in half, and keeping the four pieces that had the elbow, then sanded down the elbows and drilled holes through them to attach with a cut up piece of... something. (I don't remember what ) I assume that could be done with the knees, too, but I never tried. Cut the head off the neck, cut and sanded a 1x1 cone down to just the top hollow stud, glued said stud to the base of the head and inserted the neck into the stud. And you can also do it with the Supers, if you apply more force to the knife:
  16. That is the system. And I'm sure Day Fifteen is with them. Set your course for the Hoth system. General Veers, prepare your Miniland-scale Snowtroopers. Wow, another Miniland-scale model I enjoyed making. I've never been good at creating human features, whether it be with clay, pencils, paints or LEGO, so perhaps that's why I'm finding it enjoyable translating the distinctive features of characters into the simplified shapes of Miniland-scale. (though I'm sure it helps that these last few models I've enjoyed building don't have any thin or extremely curved shapes, like the battle droid's torso or last year's TIE Pilot's helmet) 2012StarWarsAdvent_Day15.lxf
  17. I've fixed the title as best I can within the character limit of titles. If you're looking for good alternate models, a starting place could be the list of Mods and Alternate Builds in our MOC Index.
