  1. I'm not that concerned about the Gold; we can make the trade with what Gold you have and you or the players that owe you Gold can pay me the rest later.
  2. Awesome. Don't worry abut me; I won't want to leave. (Until I get to 100 GP, then I might want to leave. But I could stick around and grab an XP 'Shroom or some Gold if you don't want to.) Sounds good to me. Did you get the Gold to finish our trade? Your stats page only lists 80 Gold and 95 loaned to Lycan, but I thought you had more than that.
  3. Oh, right; Flare, I want to get back in with your party.
  4. I wanted to stay until I got 100 GP, but Legonater wants to make the sign-ups for Quest 53, so I think we'll have to leave after this battle ends. (unless for some reason we don't finish this battle in time)
  5. "Master Rone, take Aepyornis A; Master Emorith, take Aepyornis B. It's okay if you get Slowed; at this point I think we could survive with two or three actions per Round, and if you got Slowed this Round, you'd be able to alternate with myself and Master Unth'or. Plus you'd be immune to being Slowed again. Let's try that out, and if it doesn't work, then we can break out the consumables." Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Xander Unth'or Dyric Rone Althior Emorith
  6. Table flipping!
  7. OoC: Excellent, thanks."Okay, I'll switch over to Aepyornis A which isn't Poisoned, yet. Master Rone, take Aepyornis B instead. Master Emorith, good work healing Master Unh'or; heal yourself this time in preparation for increase Free Hits next Round. Master Unth'or, keep attacking the Hungry Bear." I attack Aepyornis A from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Xander Unth'or Dyric Rone Althior Emorith
  8. Their primary target will be Day Twelve. Prepare to open shield. Stand by, Miniland-scale Hoth Rebel Trooper... fire! I started doing this one as a tan-clothed trooper like the one in the calendar, but then I got to the head, and... Miniland figures have tan skin. Right, can't use this color scheme. So I ended up with what is a hybrid of the white- and tan-colored troopers. I built it based on what I knew the tan ones looked like; I just gave it the light bley and white coloring. (and as with the Imperial Officer, I opted not to add the goggles, but you can add them yourself with the same method) 2012StarWarsAdvent_Day12.lxf
  9. OoC: If we're Slowed, we still end up in the Order and still take Free Hits, right?
  10. OoC: I forgot that Blind doesn't affect Special Damage. I think we can still do this without using Remedies; do you guys want to try it like this or use up some consumables?
  11. I know they have to do what George wants them to do, but I'm rating episodes based on how they compare to other TCW episodes, not based on how they executed what was written in the script. No matter who's really at fault for this story or how well the animating team or the TCW team apart from George did; an "episode about nothing" isn't "decent".
  12. Your last action was an attack, and if you don't specify a Row from which to attack (and if you're not forced to stay in the Back Row), then you attack from the Front Row.
  13. "As would I. But we have to get through the Falls, first, and I think that'll take us a couple weeks while. Let's see how quickly we can finish this battle first, though."
  14. General, Day 11 is coming out of hyperspace in sector four. Reroute all power to the Miniland-scale Atgar 1.4 FD P-Tower. Prepare for ground assault. At least I think that's what the official model is supposed to be. This is the only dish-shaped turret that comes to mind and we're in the middle of a Hoth mini-theme of the calendar. At first, I was a little disappointed that I didn't find a better solution than an 8-wide dish, but I think the rest of the turret turned out quite nicely. It seemed fairly straightforward while I was building it, so I don't have much to comment about on the build. I try to avoid using pieces that aren't available now, but that clip piece in black from the Rancor Pit was perfect for that part of the turret, and the Pit has been spotted in stores already, so I decided to use it. 2012StarWarsAdvent_Day11.lxf
  15. "If you have the gut feeling that there's an epic quest you'd like to sign up for, don't hesitate to bring it up, and we'll see what areas we have a chance at clearing in the time before sign-ups close. Otherwise, myself, I wouldn't mind staying here until I had enough GP for a Medal of Glory. I do have some trades to be made in the Hall, though, so like I said, if you get the feeling we should leave, by all means, let's discuss that."
  16. "Our next destination will probably be the Weeping Woods, and I don't think there'll be Aquatic enemies there, but if the eventual goal is to get back to Rainbow Falls and the Jade Kraken, keeping Aquatic enemies favored isn't a bad idea."
  17. "Good work, Master Rone; stay on Aepyornis A. I'll try to get Aepyornis B Blinded again. Master Emorith, try again; Master Unth'or, get in another attack against Aepyornis B while he's Blinded." I attack Aepyornis B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow. Order of Actions: Bartholomew Docken Dyric Rone Althior Emorith Xander Unth'or
  18. A Star Wars topic probably isn't the most appropriate place to ask it, but to answer the question, minifig hoods do exist in dark bley. Not in light bley, though.
  19. Thanks, Aeroeza. Echo Station Three-T-Eight. We have spotted Day Ten! Midi-scale AT-AT on the north ridge. Midi-scale AT-AT on the north ridge. Forget the Star Destroyer; this is my new favorite model of the calendar. (considering the amount of work put into it, the complexity of the model and the overall awesomeness of the AT-AT itself, I think I like it better than last year's Lambda, too) I'm sitting here looking at it and making quiet AT-AT sound effects. I started with the feet, because I was lying in bed for a couple minutes after I woke up, and I was thinking of how I would do the feet. The trick there was to do the 5-ish-wide circle of cheese, but it couldn't be that thick, and it had to incorporate attachment points for the four plates that hang off the edge and the end of the leg. With the legs, I tried to find solutions for the joints, but in the end, knowing that if this is every built with physical bricks, it would be a display model, I opted for static joints using angled Technic connectors in the knees and no joint at all in the ankles. I don't think the lack of an ankle joint affects the look of the model too much, and the knees can be be adjusted, you just have to take off the bottom and switch in a different angle of Technic piece. Once I got the legs and feet down and attached to the inner skeleton that was developing as I needed attachment points, the armor of the body was actually a lot simpler than I thought it would be - it just took a long time to manually mirror one half once it was done. The head also turned out simpler to figure out than I thought it would. I'm not completely sure of the stability of the model, but I purposely left a lot of the interior empty, both to keep the walker light and to allow for the addition of supports if the model can't stand on its own as-s. (I know the neck is going to be a weak point; I think it might sag a little but probably hold. I think the hips will be weak points, too) Also, LDD tells me two bricks were misplaced and had to be removed when I open the file, but I can't find them. (and I'm no good at crawling through the LXFML of the unplaceable brick dump file) It doesn't look like anything crucial is missing, though. Reference material is here. 2012StarWarsAdvent_Day10.lxf
  20. OoC: Awesome. Can it also use Berserk against another hero at the same time?
  21. 2012 is almost over, and I don't think there're going to be any notable releases for the rest of the year, so I'm going to un-pin this topic. (if there is major news that belongs in this thread, it'll probably be kept at the top of the forum by discussion, anyways)
  22. Sounds like those expected Clones sets are finally coming out. Can't say I'm excited about those, but the Sail Barge interests me. I haven't bought the Palace yet, so maybe I'll wait to see what the Barge looks like first. First post has been updated. I've assumed that the sets that could be from Clones are from Clones and that the Stealth Starfighter is EU. (I didn't list the tank droid's subtheme; it could be the first of a Sith wave considering that movie's 3D release date soon after Clones, or it could be CW - I think it's the former, but I can't be sure)
  23. Oh, yes of course. I didn't mean to take away from the Embassy's usefulness. I meant that the Library should be used as a general topic for questions that don't have another place to go if a player wants to know more and there isn't an index cataloging the info, so we don't necessarily need more topics. (I'm thinking of the General Questions topic in the Star Wars forum here; that's where I throw pretty much all the questions that don't deserve their own topics )
