Hi Morty. That's an amazing palace! How long did you work on the design? Did you use a program like LDD or LDRAW? I'm working on a palace myself at the moment, designing it in LDD, and it takes a very long time! Cheers, -Marco

What's with the coloured slopes on everything?! Don't like it much.

Good luck with the CUUSOO project guys, and a happy birthday to you Commodore_Legolas.

I've worked in the games industry for 10 years, and redundancy is always lurking from behind a corner. Release a game that doesnt sell and you're millions in the red. They don't want to take any risks and will concentrate more on casual games, which makes sense in a way, but people are losing jobs.

One of my favorite songs is 'White and Nerdy'. It's such a great song, and shows he can do loads of genres. And his movie 'UHF' is fantastic, Ive seen it so many times. Also Fran Drescher is in it.

Hi Nick. I saw you in Beyond the brick. You make some great Halo MOCs. -
From their site: "Kwaliteit Alle aangeboden produkten bij BRICKshop zijn nieuw. LEGO sets zijn verpakt in de orginele vepakking. Oudere LEGO sets kunnen kleine beschadigingen hebben aan de doos vanwege ouderdom. Losse LEGO onderdelen zijn gesorteerd uit nieuwe sets of nieuw verpakt in zogenaamde LEGO Service Packs." All parts are new.

I'll come down for a visit, but not sure what day yet. Might see you there Bonaparte. -
Great review. I remember my brother got this set for his birthday back in the 80's. What impressed me most was the construction of the roof. Last weekend I was very lucky to see this on a boot sale, with pristine box, for only €20 -Marky

You can tell this took some time and patience to do! Only needs a SW character saying 'Hey!' at the start like in the LEGO commercials -

Architecture Contest: Clarendon building
Marckeyh replied to Marckeyh's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks all for the nice comments. I agree, too bad it's only the facade, but I don't have the parts to complete the rest of the building. I hope this will do as is, and that it gives a good impression of the architecture style. -
That's a nice line up off modular buildings, I didn't realise there were so many already. The only one I own is the pet shop, but haven't had time to build it yet.

Hi all, I'm glad to present my contribution for the architecture contest: The Clarendon Building is a landmark Grade I listed building in Oxford, England, owned by the University of Oxford. It was built between 1711 and 1715 to house the Oxford University Press. It stands in the centre of the city in Broad Street, near the Bodleian Library and the Sheldonian Theatre. It was vacated by the Press in the early nineteenth century, and used by the university for administrative purposes. In 1975 it was handed over to the Bodleian Library, and now provides office and meeting space for senior members of staff. I chose this landmark building because Oxford was my home town for the last 7 years. -Marco
