I don't like either model to be honest. The helicopter is not too bad, but flying vehicles aren't my thing anyway...
The backhoe's proportions don't seem correct to me, the bucket on the back is too small, the roof is too low, the front lift arm looks wrong somehow, and the wheels are too chunky. Yes, I know, I'm a picky, but I can't help it
It's not final, so we'll see what the final model will look like.
I agree, the intructions are getting too easy lately.
What's the reason for this, anyone know? Is it maybe because they don't want to put off kids of LEGO as they might think it's too difficult?
I think it's nice when the instructions are challenging.
If there are no barcodes, it's probably best to buy a whole box and share the cost between mates.
In this series there's not one figure I would like to get multiples of to be honest, unlike the spartan, zombie and forestman
from previous series.
Wow that's great! There's so much to look at, I really like the way the car and bike fit in the garages, perfect scale.
Only criticism I would give, is for the rear walls, the sections of tan and white don't make much sense to me.
Keep up the good job!
That set looks like it's almost mint condition. I hardly see any wear on that box, pieces look new as well, and this set has the instructions, the ones on bricklink don't. So I guess it's worth a lot more than $150! I'd say $300 or $350
LEGO is right in saying some people get confused with clone brands. My mum bought me some Mega*****s from a bootsale and thought it was real LEGO. She wasn't aware such a thing existed! It didn't cost so much, but still that money was wasted...
Maybe Hagrid couldn't pay his mortgage anymore and downsized to this hut?
Anyway, good first effort, shouldn't be too hard to improve once you manage to get the right pieces.
I'd be very interested to see some more info/history/philosophy of TLC. The idea about collection, preservation etc sounds good as well, as I collect mostly (not so much MOC'ing).

We'll have to wait and see what's gonna happen. Maybe we'll get a statement from TLG concerning this matter?
I hope the prices in Europe will drop, it's getting a bit silly now to be honest. I doubt TLG will reduce the quality of the bricks at all to make it cheaper, loads of people will start buying clone brands, as I believe the high quality is the reason why people stick with real LEGO.
When I was young, my best friend had loads of playmobil. I quite liked it, everything is ready straight out of the box, the vehicles are quite big, but the figures look a bit odd. I remember he had a fire truck with loads of accessories, much more than LEGO had at the time.
