  1. Fantastic work! I love the modern spin on a very Clasic Castle feel. I agree with Aine that the jousting area needs a bit of lengthening. And wow that tower is tall!
  2. Hi Faldrin! Welcome to this side of the forum! I think general rules are something we're kinda going for (at least with these one-shots that Sandy floated) that would allow easy quests to learn that can be a lot of fun. As for the themes, if we do these one-shot stories, I can see a whole host of ideas of themes in various times, but I don't really see how the EXP, gold, loot, etc would transfer. If anything, it seems like it would just be combining all of the Historica, BoBS, Andromeda, etc into one big mishmash. Although if we stuck to a Sci-fantasy theme that's been discussed before, I think those themes you mentioned would easily fit into a cohesive storyline and grow with.
  3. Fantastic build! I love the story behind it as well. How long did this take you/how many pieces?
  4. Seems interesting! I've never really watched Star Trek, aside from Wrath of Khan in high school, but I'm interested, especially with the rule changes you've stated. If it's a short game, I definitely can be involved, as I'm going to be swamped with work the final week of July.
  5. Oh, ok cool! I'm excited to get back into the Brick Seas! And no worries, we all have busy lives.
  6. Ooh yay! I was actually just about to start a build of Emile back in Oleon lands since this MCRA had not moved forward for months. How many builds are required and size?
  7. I use Instagram and FaceBook out of the two on there, mostly going to Instagram. And while I wouldn't necessarily use DeviantArt for this situation, it could work for drawings/paintings of LEGO figures.
  8. Oh ok that makes sense. Was there ever floated the idea of an inventory system for a H2.0 before? It seems like it would have been very helpful for balance issues in H1.0. I'll gladly help develop. You say LEGO RPG and I'm there. I think the big issue (as has been with all of the past ideas) we need to address is the combat system. Heroica's combat was simplistic and unfair at times. The class stat changers seem to help adjust that. If we go by the dice pool system that's been floated before, it could really make a solid, well rounded system that's fair for everyone.
  9. I feel like Vladek's Fortress is one of the last sets to have hinges, although I could be mistaken. Otherwise, it just seems like it's been Technic pins. Vertical modulairity would be great, and I can really see it being used with pre-fab baseplates like we used to get. Of course it would look great with the trend they've been doing recently with the smaller plates.
  10. @Sandy I like the outline. The addition of the chimera race is really interesting and should allow for lots of fun characters to come about. The story setup seems great and looks like there’s a lot of freedom to explore both character/race backgrounds, factions, and locations. It hit the six-fantasy idea really well, imo. The classes (mainly rogue) are a little concerning. The main issue for me with rogue is the Steal ability, which was very OP in the original game. This also leads into the idea of combat. Would we still be using the dice pool idea that was thrown around? Would weapon proficiencies be a thing? I think the stats you included are super smart and allow everyone to be whatever character they want, from a dwarf who wants to be a caster to a fighter who finds he likes ranged weapons later on, especially if the proficiency/skill idea mentioned earlier is used.
  11. This is astounding! All of the details are amazing. And great work on keeping track of just how many pieces you used.
  12. Fun game Kinto! Your games are always fun to see play out, thanks for having me. I agree, @Khscarymovie4 if we didn’t kill jimmynick it might have gone better. And sorry @Hinckley!
  13. There's been weird rumors/memes on the Bionicle memes subreddit about a G3 release.
  14. Exactly, a massive throwback to the original Studios line would be fantastic. There's a lot they could do, steadicams for minifigures, "drones", etc.
  15. Whenever I move into a large enough space hopefully in the next 10 or so years, I'm definitely doing a large city with studios and other film industry related buildings. I think people would want news related things. Playmobil has all kinds of different sets and themes, from zoos to TSA. I'm sure LEGO could do the same.
  16. The Media and Gaming Forum would be a good place: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/176-lego-media-and-gaming/ If it's more along the lines of the Heroica RPG game that ran for seven years on here, The Heroica RPG Forum would be best: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/154-heroica-the-rpg/ I think.
  17. We're over due for a Studios like line, or even just a news truck. With all the crime and fires in LEGO City, where's all the people to document it? Heck, even do a newspaper and journalists. I would absolutely love a full blown Studios theme, complete with trailers, cameras and sets.
  18. Was this before or after the tidepod craze?
  19. Didn't the Tech Vampyres get released in the final wave? I never paid attention to the story for Nexo Knights. Why are magnets a problem now? I'd love a Wolfpack theme again that mixed old and new. And a proper Spanish Armada would be fantastic. Basically some LEGO Warhammer 40k vibes?
  20. I agree. The sets grew on me after I owned a few, and those gold shield can be really useful for a bunch of heavy duty guards, but otherwise not so great for other uses.
  21. Small update this time. Two Bricklink orders have come in with doors, a few arches, and some weapons (not seen here). I'm thinking of expanding that bridge like this, and maybe out front to make a larger walkway that will be an interior, with a wooden roof angling at the back with large windows on either side. Some stuff on the path. Here we can see the arches for the windows are being placed. The one for the fire place is the wrong color and will be changed when that part comes in on the next shipment. I was worried these doors were going to hit the tables that I had already placed, but lickily they didn't. Otherwise I would have to scale down the tables or rearrange them if I wanted to keep these large doors for the great hall.
  22. I mean, wow that's necroing a thread but this is really interesting to see this briefcase.
  23. When you have them physically, yes. By touch certainly (I've never handled Lepin myself, but I can tell from some pictures). Just look for reputable sellers outside of you country if you're worried and can afford the shipping and exchange rate.
  24. Very nice! I'm reminded a lot of AC Odyssey with this build. Now add some historical reenactors
  25. There's always a risk, but you can rate people on BrickLink for how reliable they are and quality of the pieces they send, like how damaged they are, etc. Lepin is not that big of a problem outside of Asia, either.
