[OL - Challenge III - Cat A] Seeing the Sights
KotZ replied to KotZ's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! I had an old Power Rangers Mega Blocks set (terrible of me, I know) that had a dark red Torii and I guess that's always struck me as what color they should be. It might be a rendering issue, or an issue when I imported the LDD file to Stud.io for rendering. I know in LDD I didn't push the petals down all the way, so there might be some issue with moving things over. -
Gilbert and William, from Emile's crew who staid back in Oleon territories, had been dispatched to the Kingdom of Lotus to see what was going on there. Gilbert was fond of the exotic apples that were native there; he had not seen this type of apple back home. William found the architecture most peculiar. He wondered how that entrance stood standing. It looked fragile. Conversing with the citizens of the kingdom was rather tough. William was of Corrington descent and had fallen in with Emile's crew. Gilbert was an Oleander through and through. They found that many of their requests had to be communicated through pointing and miming. Gilbert felt a little silly. The people seemed friendly enough, though.

"So, does anyone know how to take care of a newborn?" Kleeck studied the creature, fascinated with this alien lifeform.

"Who in their right mind would wear that armor?" Kleeck looked at his loot. "I find my portion acceptable, thank you."

Is LEGO Entering Another Experimental Era?
KotZ replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I mean, late 90s had Slizers, throwbots, and then in early 2000s we had... Galidor... Bionicle was weird but it was a hit (I love Bionicle, btw). In the 2010s we have Hidden Side (while not weird, is definitely experimental), soft reboots of old themes like Bionicle G2, etc. I'd say it's a trend of LEGO knowing what they can do well, and trying to figure out how to expand it elsewhere, unlkike earlier experimental periods that may have been more "Well, what can we try to do? Does this even work?" -
Is LEGO Entering Another Experimental Era?
KotZ replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree, and I definitely see the 2010s as a mini experimental phase overall. It's the rise of smartphones, apps, etc where TLG is trying to figure out what works in the new age with these kids that have grown up only knowing the internet and smart phones. Maybe not as weird as some of the late 90s and early 2000s experiment/weird. Just in a different way. -
It was second-hand. I should've clarified

Welcome back! Very clean build! My only suggestion would be filling in the roof, or changing the angle of the photo, as we see a gap there.

This was an episode I didn't get to see much of on set, sadly. I did build all of those popcorn boxes and popcorn. I originally didn't make them sturdy enough, so before we actually had them on set, I had to take a few apart and rebuild them to be strong enough. I also wanted to make them round but found I didn't have the time to build enough or to make them sturdy enough. When I was building them, Brick Master Amy walked past and said "Nice popcorn!", which has been a highlight of my career.

"Would you like to talk about this now? Last chance." Kleeck repeats his action.

Very pretty and colorful! Great work with the brick seperators; I've been meaning to do the same.

Thanks for letting me play!

Kleeck shoots at the captain from his current position. He sighs. Talking was much more in line with his skills. Combat was just going to get them into heaps of trouble. He wondered who else they might run afoul.

Since I'm getting lynched, I suggest look to Wesley for a scum.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars RPG - Game Development
KotZ replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
Extended mode has more parts and allows you to do any color. If you want, you could also try Stud.io (I've started using it for rendering instead of building). That has access to I think most of Bricklink's inventory and still allows recolors and decals, including custom. -
Sorry, too busy talking about you to talk to you. OMGUS vote, maybe.
-
Kleeck uses Rally on Yelanna from same position.

If it's not a normal idea, I feel like we have that debate every game, though.
-
Based off our normal ideas that someone who never shows up generally is town.

I voted for Beverly after I was somewhat understanding either Riker would soon be replaced, or we would move on without Riker, in any capacity. I made the statement, because why have an inactive townie on the roster, and essentially not voting Beverly gets us to a start in the morning. With Riker not needing to be involved, we eliminate killing a possible Townie (if Beverly was one). If we lynched Beverly, and Riker didn't show up, we're possibly down two townies. I was meaning to eliminate as few people at once as possible, town or scum, since night kills are not a thing. Riker showing up assuaged my fears. I don't think you're scum, at least not now. I think you're playing aggressive to try to weed out scum who might counter you saying "Troi is scum, they're so overly active." Riker, I want to rule out as scum. That leaves me (not scum),That leaves Wesley, Picard, Data, and Forg. I rule out Data from scum; his recent post seems too townie to me. So down to Wesley, Picard, and Forg. My best bet is on the two former, and not because they both voted for me. Wesley said the following... This seems to hit the sweet spots of a defense. "I didn't do that, so that means I'm blah blah blah." For myself, I've stated my reasonings as they played out. If Wesley is lynched and turns up town, my bet is Picard being scum then. Picard has only spoken once, and just quickly at that to vote for me. I think the captain is flying under the radar to see where the chips lie. I was not pressed to change my vote yesterday.

Well, I was going to vote to extend the day but I got here too late. I mean, you could say the same about me honestly yesterday. No bussing. I just was unsure if Riker was going to show. Since there are no night kills in the game, I would rather have taken the chance of eliminating a town who was inactive if there was no replacement. After It looked like there could be a replacement (before Riker said hello), I switched my vote because Beverly was acting scummy, and we needed a lynch. There certainly is a sort of metagame in this go around. That roleplay from Beverly is absoluitely odd, but I don't think Beverly would be that open about her affiliation. If there were third party, that would make me think she's a jester trying to get lynched. Wesley seems too obvious (from a pairing perspective), but he's acting scummy. I wasn't a fan of voting for your mother due to not being sure if Riker would appear. I explain myself a bit earlier in this post. Mentioned earlier in the post. Here's my overall thoughts: I'm leaning towards Wesley, but I'm worried if that's possible he's scum. Maybe it's too meta, having family be scum together. It's too easy, right? I jokingly say Karen but Karen seemed to quick to vote for a fellow scum. I also just want to point out Karen because, well, Karen. Vote: Wesley (Pandora) Here's why: If Wesley turns up scum, hooray. If Wesley turns up Town, crap. I then am on the chopping block. But, I'm town (as everyone claims they are). So, if Wesley is town, tomorrow that has 5 town, 1 scum. We're still winning numbers wise. If you vote me out, it's 4:1. I'd like to think the town would go after who was pursuing myself, or Wesley the hardest. I do think Riker is Town based on the play, ignoring the naptaking.

Awesome! Beverly is a weird name anyway, And nothing is wrong with Brickshelf.
-
Maybe I'm just used to us always lynching quiet/inactive players early. And if the role is possibly being passed on (like a good chance), then I gladly unvote Riker and vote for Bev. Best case, both are scum. Hopeful good case, Bev is scum, and we keep Riker (who is either scum or not). Middling case, both are gone and one is scum, one is town. Worst case, both are town. Looking at this, it does seem like a good option, now. Unvote: Riker Vote: Beverly

I agree with this part specifically. Hasbro has thousands of characters, from New Canon and Legends (of course figures have to be approved by Disney), that can be made. Obscure figures can be produced. LEGO, being more targeted to kids, is more stuck with making things that people recognize, like an x-wing over and over. We probably won't get to see Legends-style sets or Old Republic until we get a movie or TV show.
