Thirdwigg's MOCs

Functionality as you usually do but I see some lack of aesthetics, maybe the colors I do not know, always from the admiration. -

Tatra kolos trial 2025
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you, you are right with the suspension but with this size I couldn´t do it as I wish, I tried a lot to recreate the real suspension but I had to go up everything and the truck was too tall...The steering part is very difficult to improve, I like perfect steering, I mean that the steering angle does not change during the suspension movement and it was done this way. Tatras have the drive axle just in the same place that the links, you can go down or up the drive axle but we still have the problem of the links length, 6 studs for a 17 studs wide truck is too much. I want to do the same in another scale using the 42160 wheels, with more space everything will be better. -

Tatra kolos trial 2025

In fact more than necessary I have to put a stop to limit the sterring because the joints can support the stewring angle. Thank you I always try to build as clean as I could, It is part of my fun. -
Another finished MOC... it is a 8x8 RC tatra kolos trial truck, it has a 2 speed manual gearbox and the rare tatra suspension, is controlled by the lego control from the 42160 set and I have used 804 parts. I tested it a few and it can climb 42 degress inclination without any gear crack sounds... you know me the funny part is already done days ago... I will put instructions very soon and here you are a little video Tatra kolos 2025 , let´s go for the next one.

Ngoc's Technic Corner

Very well deserved I envy all the work you still have ahead. -
Thanks twice, your suggestion is correct but it would be too much weight on the front part, but anyway it was useful because I put the steering motor on the front and I was able to put the battery lower than before. That is why I like to share all my progress, you can have good advice at any time, a first slook from someone outside the project may be better than mine. Now I will give another chance to the back part...

It is finished, I tried to do back part but I failed... I will open a thread a will try to do a short explanation and video. A 8x8 tatra with 2 steered axles each one with different angle steering and full suspension no more no less with 0nly 705 parts so far. The part I like the most is that you can easly change the gears due the modular construction looking for speed or climbing.

[MOC] BMW 1250GS
jorgeopesi replied to steph77's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like the color scheme and all the compact design, MOCs like that make me want to build bikes but I don´t how yet . -
Happy new year and also new total chassis redesign but finished... It was not as strong as I wanted so I come back to the rubber liftarm solution, now it is stronger ald lower. This is the rubber suspension on every axle. The chassis now is enough stronger. The motors and battery are easily removable and you can change the gears easily to get more power, speed or whatever. Now I want to do the back part and another cabin types to can have different trucks, classic or trial trucks for example.
