  1. And it doesn't clog up a whole shelf-worth of retail space or too much factory time etc. Similar has been said about Castle. I am all for it.
  2. Um, it looks okay, but it doesn't look much like an Aston Martin DB5. I don't know how they could've pulled off the shape with Lego at that scale, but in my opinion they shouldn't have released this, it's way too far away. Especially considering the licences. As an unlabeled, unlicenced creator set it would be okay.
  3. I'm very impressed by how good it looks and how stable it seems. I supported this as soon as I saw it, I've only ever supported 2 projects. A bit strange that they mention 5 of the 6 pilots, when a lot of merchandise I've seen shows Sven despite him not being in it for long. But it's pretty funny that the stickers (which are numbers anyway) have the numbers next to them, just in case you couldn't figure out what a 2 was...
  4. I went mad on Bricklink 10 years ago buying that sort of stuff. Printed & trans elements, and minifigs. All you need, really. Oh and endless parts in the appropriate colour schemes of course...
  5. From memory the cape boxes have tape on the back. Sometimes the capes are in separate boxes. (If the minifigs are in separate numbered bags this will be the case)
  6. Agreed, it seemed a bit silly calling it that instead of Avengers Something Something. But by announcing that title it could make people speculate it was something to do with him and the American civil war, whereas if they'd just called it "The Avengers Fight Each Other"... Having said that, if they wanted the real plot to be a surprise, why did the previews show they'd be fighting each other...
  7. Since you asked, I think I prefer the comic when it's about flying through deep space in front of computer monitors, where most of the 'action' visible is drawn-on purple lasers, the focus is mainly on the Space Agency's dealings and the 'real' stars of the show are the Lego Space factions, sets & minifigs. The integral & side characters are all important and interesting of course and it's still good. I obviously pay less attention to the detail of the shot than you put work in to it, so whatever feels more satisfying to you in the storytelling & depiction.
  8. Lord of the Rings orcs with 2 faces and a helmet, although I don't think their whole face was covered, and also not all of them would wear a helmet, some had hair over their backface instead
  9. I believe so. You want the toner to transfer from the paper onto the sticky tape. Ink won't do it.
  10. Hello Probius... I heard we were getting Overwatch sets, but a Starcraft 2 probe?
  11. They were miners to me. And back then different countries had different marketing and blurbs for the same product. It was a great era, that is for certain. For me the 10 years following the Classic sets was the most interesting. I have all of the sets (minus a few polybags) from Futuron->UFO, with a lot of multiples. As a kid, I only had a handful, and all the catalogues to dream with. Good luck, I have given up on TLG giving us anything much that resonates with me. They apparently try, but the play-test kids prefer the other stuff, so that's what they sell.
  12. Very cool. Even if it looks a bit like the Alien Conquest set
  13. The 3 people that regularly get projects to 10000
  14. Is TLG going to keep throwing free Lego at the same 3 people all the time...
  15. It's 'whingeing' not 'winging'
  16. Thank you so much, it's so appreciated! Congratulations on the set.
  17. "I'm not 12, I just act like it" hahaha. I don't remember that Red Dwarf joke. Next time I go right through I'll be listening for it
  18. Took me a long time to get into it. Main character was a so-and-so, in 'real life' and the game. But that whole sequence when that was hilarious. I was pleased that it had a female hero that looked and sounded like a girl, not ripped & grunting like a muscle man. And she used her brains & skill to beat the bad guys, not her sex appeal. Nice change from the norm.
  19. Yes, I used to get up early before school to watch it on ABC. Finally! A bit disappointed there aren't any minifigs but not surprised, there weren't any in the submission anyway. Looks perfect, and I'm so glad it's stable and transforms. Price range is not unexpected to me
  20. Okay, I am reading this comic... even if it looks like Han Solo v Stormtroopers
  21. It was suggested that the reveal could be at a comic con. If so, there had better not be an exclusive Voltron minifig to accompany such an announcement... Or I will be fuming!
  22. Thanks for the jawa pun. I've kinda quit SW Lego and SW in general, well, we're "on a break". Episode VIII was The Last Straw for me
  23. You'd think that an Austin Powers set would be about as appropriate as a James Bond one. I wonder about this Creator Expert set, having the 007 'licence to build' tacked on to the price would annoy plenty of regulars. They'd probably pick up an Aston Martin anyway, but now it costs extra. The 007 affiliation would of course bring in a lot of extra buyers from outside the Lego fandom, as well as gain an interest from many also in the hobby.
  24. That's what I'm talking about
