This was the only Blacktron I set I had from retail. These guys are still my favourite space figs, and sinister is definitely the right word for it! I have 3 or 4 Invaders, 1 has been modified to contain 4 middle sections instead of 1. Not surprisingly I call it the Quad Invader. Awesome ship - I love it!

Yes please -
Looks like you're right! First few pics I wasn't keen - it's so far removed from the outer space themes, but with these clearer pics I'm slowly coming around...

Yesssss... although a Dragon Knight castle was what I really wanted. A mounted knight with dragon barding is AWESOME, hopefully that set has a majority of green soldiers rather than red (or pink, haha) so I can grab a few of it.

I'm not particularly... I just noticed on the torso, IT'S A STICKER! Please, no...

More little green men... an angry looking alien! I'll just wait and see what we'll get before I get too pro/anti anything! Haha.

Ahsoka turning to the dark side would break my supersoka heart haha I hope it doesn't really happen! No more senate episodes sounds good to me, I'm really looking forward to the rest of this season. -
Classic album, even more classic album cover. Most parodied/replicated by far. Can't believe noone else has mentioned, but you've got Paul's wrong foot forward! John's hair and face are perfect - but maybe a beard piece could be added? (Do they even come in brown?) * more classic?

MOC: my own Castle advent calendar
Artanis I replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wonderful! Castle is very good on its own, but the snow cover is excellent, and I like your cartwheel/tyre tracks. Add to that the fact that it is a fully functional advent calendar complete with bricked numbers (and do I see chocolate in there?) and it becomes a masterpiece! You made it for your girlfriend? 50 man points to you! -
Simple yet effective. Reminds me of something, hmmm... what could it be? Six White Boomers...

Pretty darn good, I really like it - but what about the flag on the front?

Don't disrespect a Leslie Neilsen movie until at least a few more weeks, give the guy some RIP! Definitely not the best film, but had its moments.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

I don't watch trailers or previews if I can help it. It means I can watch the episode with a fairly open mind and potentially be surprised - not knowing what will happen next. It would be good if such spoilers weren't so present in this topic days before an episode is even aired. I already avoid this topic from Friday night until I've seen the new episode, so I won't read people's comments on it until after I've seen it too. -
I recently purchased and rewatched season 2 on blu ray so I've finally read these reviews. Thanks guys, some interesting thoughts.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Been away for ages, so let me throw in a few thoughts on stuff discussed in the recent past: Mace Windu "redesign/prelim/whateva" - why the chunky high heels?!? Are there more big secrets to this PURPLE lightsabre-wielding Jedi Master? What next?! Heroes on Both Sides - it's pretty clear that Palpatine & Dooku are collaborating & orchestrating the whole thing, and most of the worlds involved are deceived (or at the least the truth is slightly twisted [eg Dooku's claim that the sith are in control of the Republic]) into taking a certain stance. For the most part, the separatists are NOT evil, nor malevolent. Some are, but not all - goes for both sides. What I find increasingly difficult is accepting HOW THE HECK Anakin & Padme actually get along... they have no common interests or political ideals and are almost always at odds when* they're together. Call me a superSoka, I'll happily wear the label btw, but she's coming along very nicely. Costume & physical attributes look good, and I noticed she had 2 sabres on her belt, but can't remember back that far whether she whipped them out? Don't think so. * "when" indeed... -
The way you put it, it sounds like the plots of Dark City meet The Matrix!

Review: 7952 Kingdoms Advent Calendar
Artanis I replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I bought it a month or so ago, I don't remember. I opened it before long, and built it all. Didn't want to ruin the box so I took the tray out and built them in order. Only problem was that the pictures are on the inside of the box - some of them were difficult to see & therefore build, but possible. I have the nice looking box scene sitting on display, and all the pieces are incorporated into the Lego displays. -
They don't even look that blocky - see, it is possible! Nice work Bring back monorails I say...

First thing I thought was that someone had seen a photo of the series 3 minifigs... well, now I'm not sure. I will watch & wait, because "time reveals all things". Then I will comment more deliberately.

Should've given her some mean biceps while they were at it Her legs are different too. -
I had the same problem... it was useful for combat though I added a small amount of blu-tac (you may have a different name for it - that sticky stretchy stuff you stick posters to the wall with, usually grey in colour) and it hasn't happened since.

What a legendary castle! So many little stories going on... I must confess I don't know about this tinderbox or snow queen but the rest I'm familiar with. Poor 3 ewoks, they were supposed to scare Goldilocks away, the blonde little burglar. It's a shame you couldn't get the left side to blend as well as the right side does when you fold the sides in. Other than that it's a really good effort to pack so many contrasting settings in one without creating an eyesore. I hope you don't get as upset as me when a MOC breaks! Especially with buildings when there are big sections to reattach and little pieces go flying...

Plus he's only in it for the money, and he'd have to best both of them or it would all be a waste for him. As soon as he realised he wasn't going to beat them both, he ran. Not as a coward, because he doesn't fight for death & glory, but for money - which is only any use to him if he's alive. Grievous (were he not "a coward") Ventress or Dooku etc would be more likely to continue to engage much longer as more is at stake?
